Excellent App!

I have never written a review for an app. Hopefully you will find my review to be helpful. I am extremely satisfied with Word Up and I found it profoundly useful with excellent customer service. I suggested to add the synonym for each vocabulary and it was updated the next day. I am impressed with their ability to resolve my request promptly. It’s been a few weeks since I downloaded the app. I tested a few days than I decided to purchase the full year version to get more functionalities out of it. It’s fun, it’s interesting and more importantly I am learning new words everyday! I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to improve their vocabulary. Keep up the good work!!!

Great potential - Not Satisfied with Support - Buggy

I chose this app as my main app to study vocabulary and I'm paying for this app too. I find this app useful and the idea of creating this app is great. Completing the knowledge map is a good measure for building my vocabulary. So I'm satisfied to some extent. However, this app has a lot of bugs, and although I brought many of them to the support team's attention, I don't see a significant attempt in solving them. The critics that I had remained in the app, although I reached out to them many times. I also had some suggestions to improve the app, and all of them were neglected. At this point, I keep the app for myself, but if I could go back in time, I would choose another app as my primary means of studying vocabulary. I hope the support team starts working on ALL the bugs and values to the users’ suggestions. You still have all of my emails!

The app that is developed for English Learners

It was so hard to find an app that would fit my needs. Looks like WordUp is exactly what I was looking for. It helped to indicate my current level and took learning from there. The vast majority of other apps are made for native English speakers with strong emphasis towards very weird words, that would be odd to hear from someone with intermediate English and are not even used often by native English speakers. Definitely 5-stars!

Awsome app

What can I say? an awsome app for learning thousands of vocabularies with lots of examples, other meanings and photos.I suggest this app to people who learn better with photos. What make it more interested is that All of these options are free despite of other apps. If you want more options you can buy premium account. Another great point is they support persian language and respect humans all around the world instead of get involved in dirty political activities!

So pleased with this app

I've subscribed to "Word Of The Day" emails. I've looked up words I don't know. None of that helps me retain. This app however has changed my life (and my vocabulary.) The simple action of allowing me to see the words the next day, and then the next, until I remember it, is the trick. And when I remember it, it shows it to me again in 3 days, 7 days, 30 days, etc., so I never forget it. Plus with the paid version, between those intervals, I can play simple games which keep the words at the forefront of my mind. And I keep bringing in new words to learn entirely at my own pace. Simple and brilliant and life changing. I look forward every day to incorporating my new words into every day conversation.

Word up suggestions and ideas

I've been using this app for a long time and it's a fantastic app that has improved my English incrediblyThat is why I would like to make some suggestions or ideas.- when we learn a word we can see its meaning and an example, but mostly these are in English, I think it would be a good idea to add the option to translate it into our languageSomething similar to the translation option we have with LexiSo we can better learn its meaning.Another idea I could do is- Have a small section, where we can add our own words that are not in the systemOr Expressions that are usedAnd we can give it its meaning and add an image that we want, to learn them in the same way as the others.- that we can put our own time that we want some word to appear I think it would also be useful.By the way, there are some words that when you search for them, the app crashes automatically.Keep doing a good job!

It’s awesome, but...

The way of learning, the resources that shown for each word, and literally everything about this app are really great. I have just addicted to it and use it everyday.So I decided to become a PRO member by the 3-months subscription plan to use Movie/TV-show feature and unfortunately, it didn’t work. I’ve searched for some tv shows like younger, friends, Big Bang theory, some movies like spiderman and every time I selected the episode, the app crashed or stuck on waiting or show the message episode not found. I don’t even know what this part of the app looks like! Is it really developed?If this problem solve, WordUp really deserves more than 5 stars.Right now I just feel I lose my money and do not recommend the PRO version to anybody.

Best English Friend to Chat

I'm a Persian man from Iran and I learned English by my own. before I find about this app, I used to chat with my native English friends. In this case this app is much more useful because it is always available and it will enrich your vocabulary with the new words. it also will remind you with your practice time. I bought its pro term and I really feel it was my best purchase in this new Persian year, so I highly recommend it to everyone.

Disappointment

This app used to be great and expeditious, but now it seems to be money oriented application. We can Pathom that to run any application money and resources are needed but depriving your old users of accessing their collection of vocabulary is not fair. Now recently they have launched this 3-heart system in which we can practice only 8 or 9 words per day disgusting right, I was a part of this platform when it was newly launched, and that is one thing I’m a free user.

Bug

Hello, I wrote a letter a few weeks ago about the problem of the program that after browsing a few words, a white screen appeared and I had to close and open the program repeatedly, and your team replied that the problem will be fixed in the next update, but today after The update did not solve the problem and I still have problems working with the application
