Good insights, but wish there were more functions

I enjoy the insights this app is giving me. I always knew my headaches were caused by atmospheric pressure, but it’s nice to confirm it. My dog has allergies, and I like that I can check the app to see how bad they are going to be that day. I do wish this app had a notification feature to alert me of upcoming changes to pressure, allergies, etc., because by the time I check the app I already have symptoms. If I knew that there were changes coming in the next few days I could prepare better to prevent symptoms. There is a way to check the outlook for the next few days within the app, but I don’t look at the app every day. I would like a notification feature like a banner to alert me when I’m not in the app. Overall, it’s useful information, but I’m hoping there will be some updates in the future for better customization and alerts.

Excellent app

I have finally been able to prove that my headaches are related to barometric pressure. I had figured this in my own before I got the app but I never knew how to measure that. I had a bad headache one day, checked the app and it showed due to the atmospheric pressure headaches are more likely that day! So glad I found a cause. And now ,I can look at the forecast ahead and know I will be headache free on a day or ca see that I may end up with one based on the app says. I like how you can track your symptoms too. I am wondering if there is a way to look up what you have tracked but I haven’t figured that out yet!

Missing the radar function and weather graphs.

I had the previous version of this app, and while I like the new symptom tracking and focus on conditions that might impact health, I don’t like that the radar and temperature graphs disappeared. This app had practically replaced the weather channel app, but now with the more detailed weather-based information removed, I’ll have to go back to using the weather channel app and just come to this for health-related things alone. This previously was at least a 4.5 star app — I wished there were better health-based features to go alongside fairly robust weather features. Now the better health features have totally replaced the weather-based features. This app would be perfect if it had robust health AND weather features. As it is my rating has had to drop with this latest update. I want one place to see weather and health symptoms and how they interact. Now I’m back to needing two apps for a full breakdown of both. To be clear I DO like the new health features! The new update is good, but it would be a five out of five if the old weather-based features had stayed and the new health-based features had been added and improved.

Interesting

I like the app so far but it could use some updates. I really wish you could go back and make changes or enter data for past days. There are just some days that are just busy and I forget to enter the data but there is no way to go back and update missed days. I like the info it provides but seems like it would be more accurate if we could enter missed days. I also wish we could see the graphs around pressure etc as a wholeDay or week to see the correlation with symptoms reported. If updates are made I’ll continue to use otherwise I am not sure I am getting enough benefit from it

Change is not always an improvement

Loved version 1.0 so much when I found it and used the app daily to help track migraine and other weather-related health conditions until a week ago. The “2.0” version changed all the things I loved about this app and appeared to make it less user friendly. The data shown every day in the last week does not align with my experience and symptoms. It actually has shown several symptoms as “all fine” and yet I have suffered many of this symptoms as I see them on that screen. The look/appearance of the app is more visually appealing, but what does it matter when the usefulness of the app has diminished? I’ll likely be deleting the app in its current form because it is no longer beneficial and is no providing false/contradictory information to me.

Has Potential

I was excited about the premise of this app: learning how weather changes affect my chronic illness symptoms. However, there are a number of features that give me pause. Associated with predictions, the app gives recommendations on what to do that are frequently pseudoscience. In December and now into January they’ve had a card on how Christmas affects your symptoms….which should be opt in as not everyone celebrates Christmas. Plus it has had recommendations that would be harmful for people with eating disorders. Lastly, as someone who is a scientist, they frequently use language like “science has proven” which reveals they have limited understanding of how science works. All in all it makes me cringe when I open the app. Was hoping for a reliable way of predicting when I’d experience symptom flares, but have lost trust in this app.

Wrong or missing information

Two things I noticed as soon as I downloaded your app that really bothered me. One, you have tree pollen listed as zero when my three other real weather apps are sending me notifications for moderate to high and I absolutely need allergy meds right now. Second, and most disturbing you don’t actually tell the pressure change whether up or down or how much of change is expected for the day. You determine for us that we’re good. As a chronic migraine suffer who is debilitated by migraines anything .12inHg and over can trigger my migraines so severely I will have blurred vision, slurred speech, loss of movement in some extremities so I plan around those changes in pressure so to be sure I am at home so I am not a risk to others or myself. Your app literally gaslights me and says ‘no risk for you today’ when in fact there’s a change of .12 this afternoon and we had a storm over night that triggered me into severe migraine so bad that the pain woke me from my sleep. Not allowing people to make informed decisions for themselves or to keep track of how much a change in pressure there was that day is doing them a disservice in tracking their health. I understand by “science standards” .12inHg isn’t supposed to be medically significant however idk who they are studying because anyone I know that is in tune with their body, the weather, and their pain can put it all together that a shift of that size can have impact of significant proportions!

Great Health/Weather App

As someone with chronic illnesses that are affected by the weather, I have found this app to be extremely helpful. I love how it tells you what the weather forecast is along with tips of information about the weather for the day that can affect your health. However, I really wish when I say I’m not interested in certain information; particularly ones that don’t have anything to do with with my illnesses in particular, I wouldn’t see them anymore. Which is why I only gave 4 stars instead of 5.What I would like to see in the future of this app is more conditions to add that can be affected by the weather, such as, fibromyalgia and dysautonomia.

Good concept, but needs work…

This app is ok and offers some good insights, but there is a lot of room for improvement… 1: being able to input and save time stamped symptoms throughout the day would be much, much more insightful than logging blanket symptoms for a given day.2: does not actually take a person’s actual symptoms into account when offering insights. It For example: this app acknowledges that I’m sensitive to barometric pressure changes and offers insights based off of that, *but* it doesn’t acknowledge that I tend to get migraines when most people apparently tend to feel well with these types of changes. On the days when it often predicts that people have better mood or mental clarity, I tend to have sinus issues and a migraine, accompanied by intense brain fog and low energy. Yet, it keeps offering me the same insights over and over again. 3: this app really seems tailored to those whose bodies follow set trends. It just offers blanket insights based off of common trends. Therefore, this app can be helpful with regards to understanding what a person is sensitive to, but not HOW a person’s body responds. Allowing these more personal customizations would make this a much better app. So, on the whole, this is a good app. But there’s a lot of room for improvement. At least for those of us whose bodies don’t follow the textbook.

Pretty but frustrating

It seems like some obvious features are missing or need to be explained better. When you set up your account it asks which health issues you’re interested in, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to change those later. Also the weather related conditions it shows don’t seem to fully correlate to those issues, and some obvious ones that are weather related like aches and pains, and sinus stuff, aren’t included. And it’s not explained if or how logging my symptoms will eventually give me useful insights - for instance if I always log a headache when it’s going to rain soon, will the app eventually tell me my headaches are related to rain or at least give me enough data to figure that out myself?
