Need more Accurate Reports

While I really like the graphics in this app, the main reason to use it is for weather information. On 3 days over the past 2 weeks, if I had made plans based on your report, I would have been very disappointed. Fortunately, each time I wanted to make or change plans based on this app’s prediction ( rain or no rain the next day) people using the weather channel app or another one said, “That’s not what I have.” And we planned accordingly and, in each case, successfully. I’m afraid I’m going to have to get a divorce Weather+

13-Mar-20: Full page splash screen ad apparently removed

App: Only presents five day forecasts (other apps go seven to ten days), no air quality reports. What it has is simple and straight forward. Not bad.Ads: This version apparently does away with the full page splash screen ad that has to be watched before accessing the weather. There are still ads but, as of today (13-Mar-20), they are at the bottom of the screen. BIG IMPROVEMENT.Adding a star, now four of five (previously three of five).Previous review: 06-Jan-20: Concern over unavoidable, full page splash screen ads that had to be watched before accessing the weather. I understand the need for ads - but these were over-the-top annoying, causing me to look elsewhere for the weather.PLEASE DO NOT BRING BACK (the full page splash screen ads)!(In addition, most of those splash screen ads were Trump ads and there was no way to “click” out of them - they had to be watched in their entirety - a reason that originally, I panned this app)

My GO-TO-WEATHER APP!

Always has humidity! This seems to have a major effect on my health so I care about that whether it’s cool or hot. Simple, easy (quick) to read with info I can use, not like weathermaps and radar. What do I care about that? It’s the weatherman’s job to tell me whats to expect, at least in the next 24 hours, which is the most an individual may have to adapt to any weather since it is simply too changeable. Oh, and the Fahrenheit-Celsius option is spot on as I have Family in three different countries and I like to know how they’re coping with climate change. An app well-done!

Clean & Simple. Expensive!

Very nice app. Straight forward info. Quick to load. Current data appears correct based on other app info. Will keep around for a few days to see if I still like it. The reasons for 3 stars: Like it as I may, could NEVER consider your subscription offer. 12 month subscription for $8.50 - just for simple data I can get through dozens of apps. Plus, there’s no imaging maps - no radar, no satellite...if you offered those and it was good implementation I’d consider your price as a one time fee. I’m with other reviewer that the clock takes up too much space. I’d rather see current temp and wind speed in that size. Also, the graphic could be a bit more elegant than two blocks. Working with it for a few days will probably bring up other thoughts. Pop ups are the worst ads to me. Not enticing in the least and makes me (and other of my friends) irritated. NOT the right feeling to get people in the mood to LIKE your product. Hope you find a happy medium with your pricing. Cheers.

Weather+ spams

This used to be my favorite paid weather subscription app for years. Suddenly Weather+ forgot I was a paying member and invasively installed a “DailyDoppler” Identity on my iPhone without my consent, with a fully functioning email which I could not delete by normal means. It acted as a bucket for so much adware that I could not get to my regular mail. Now that I write for Forbes I think I will right about how , in my opinion these techniques are not only invasive but resemble spam-ware cyber crime. Despite my paid service I’m deleting the app because of the way Weather+ invades my iPhone and set up its own email not selectable by normal means.

Beautiful, Accurate, Concise

Terrific weather scenery behind a concise weather & time display. Weather videos show a variety of environments (mountains, tropical, forest, grasslands) and reflect the current weather. The only thing that I would suggest would be a live tile and/or widget to reflect the current time. The app tile now shows a clock... but it's not the current time. It would be great if that could be made active. Otherwise a great app! Thank you!

Great option. Glad this is available.

Quite a good weather forecaster. It’s free with not a lot of ads. What ads there are aren’t very annoying. They don’t block very much. Usually. It shows the “current” temperature and precipitation to the location that’s available that you choose—and you can choose to have several locations. It doesn’t always predict correctly what the temperature will be. Sometimes it’s way off. But most of the time it’s acceptable. And it still shows what is the current condition for the location you choose.

Moving on to other sources

Just an update, still not using the app but wanted to let people know: this app immediately crashes if you have iOS 13 beta installed. Wonder if it will be ready for iOS 13. I’ve used this app for a long time. I accepted that there may be ads displayed innocuously and not getting in the way of the FUNCTION of the app. I’d even be willing to pay *ONCE* for a GREAT weather app. But now that there are pop-ups, etc. I’m moving on. And I hate that people think that it’s OK to pay subscriptions for most things, especially something like a weather app. The more you people pay for subscriptions, the worse the situation will get. Subscriptions are the slippery slope. You are paying for window dressing around freely available data.

Reasonable detail for many locations

Perfect for any ordinary uses. It has proven as reliable in predictions as other sources, which means it is not absolutely correct always but updates readily. You can store several locations, including International places (I have 2 in the UK that I check regularly). It does not display weather patterns, so you cannot use it to become aware of storms and follow them, but that's not what it's about. Great for what it does. Very coherent and nicely designed display.

Many years

I read the reviews, I’ve had this app since I had my first iPhone, fell in love with the app. When my son told me about it, grandchildren get a kick out of seeing the weather on my phone. I even show them the snow in other states when it’s snowing, they think that is so cool. Now, to be serious I didn’t know to cut out advertising you had to pay. I don’t mind the ads, I just now today realize that if I pay no ads. As my grandchildren would say, I’m good.
