Fanf-ingtastic game

I believe I have played games as well, or perhaps, even more elegantly put together... However, I have never played a game with a better storyline, a more emotionally charged atmosphere or one that will stick in my memory like this one will! Bravo to everyone who had anything to do with this digital journey.It is more than a game... It is a deep dive into our hearts and souls and dares us to look with truth at our lives, our decisions and which choices we make are truly the most honorable in the end. Thank you for the creation of a body of work that was wonderful to experience..

Exceeded Expectations

The time and attention put into the artwork of each background scene is worth the price alone. There are a few instances I have come across allowing for multiple choice options so there’s replay value, too. The music is phenomenal, the story line is fascinating, and the environmental ambiance created allows for a totally submersible experience. They also nailed the difficulty level of the puzzles. I am a huge puzzle gamer and I found their balance to be perfect, it was just challenging enough without it being too easy and not so frustrating that you rage quit. I absolutely adore everything about this game and hope they come out with more.

Simply Amazing Game!!!!!!! UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I played this game and we both really, really enjoyed it!!!!!! He played about 20 times!I really don't know how anyone can say it's a bad game, honestly!I just know I gave 5 stars last review....this game deserves 25 stars!!!! I am not kidding, it really does!! Sure, it's a dark game but it's done beautifully. The graphics are simply amazing. The story, well, that depends on your choices as you go along! And talk about bang for your buck.....this is a long game. You get your money's worth. My husband loved it so much he has played it over 30 times now!Guys do you think you could ever make us another wonderful game like this one, please, please, please? You already have 2 customers!!!! You guys are GREAT!!!!!!!!

Holy crap!!

What an ending! But I will not spoil that, just keep in mind that while you are indeed playing a game, you are also being judged on your actions. With that being said, here is what I thought of the game:Incredibly amazing. This is definitely a horror game, so do not play if you don't like what you see in the preview. Every scene is creepy and grotesque. But it's not actually a scary game.The puzzles are not too frequent and not too hard, but the the game is so immersive you don't need an immediate puzzle all the time. There is always a task going on for you to figure out. And not to mention the overall task, which is unknown to you. That made the game interesting, as I knew that it was all going to lead somewhere eventually, and it was fun just being in the moment.I would definitely recommend this game if you don't mind the look of it. It is an incredibly unique concept and look. It was also longer than I expected. Well worth the $5.

Tormentum: Dark Sorrow

At first, this game was a little confusing. But that could be because I haven't played these type of games before. But once I got the hang of what to do, it was awesome! I would highly recommend this game to anyone. Especially if you enjoy adventure and struggle with making decisions. This is the only game that I wanted to immediately start over and make different decisions. I hope Ohnoo Studios make more games of this style. It is worth the money upfront. I promise you will enjoy this game.

Truly Beautiful and Amazing

This dark and beautiful point and click puzzle game is truly one of the best games on the App Store. It's stimulating, addictive and makes you think. The music is awesome and some times creepy. It makes the game better. The two endings add to the replay value. The interesting and abstract characters make you ponder and sometimes laugh. The choices you make are crucial and sometimes you won't know what to do. If you get stuck, that's ok, it's meant to happen, but there is always a way. Just make sure you look everywhere, if you miss one thing or don't complete one puzzle you can't finish the game. If you don't like how it turns out, just do it again. If you have no clue what you're doing and it's your first time going through you might get stuck and it might take hours (which isn't a bad thing at all!), but if you've been through it and know what you're doing it'll take 20mins tops. Get this game. All other bad reviews on this game are about bugs and stuff or they get stuck and "can't do it". There are no bugs, trust me, if it happens it's not the game, it's your phone/tablet/etc. Just push through and if all else fails, there are walkthroughs online.

Beautiful and thoughtful

Edit: just finished the game and wow. This is far and above just more meaningful than pretty much ever other game I’ve played on iPhone. Even though it’s shorter than a traditional console game, this deserves to be on the level with one of them. It is a game that is going to stay with me for a long, long time. I saw no translation issues either. Some of the lines are spoken or written in riddles deliberately.This game is amazing and of the quality that I wish I saw more of in a mobile game. Great interpretation of Giger’s art. It’s definitely grotesque and at times disturbing, but nothing scary per se. It adds to the story and beauty of it actually. More thoughtful and meaningful than anything. The scenes are so intricate I found myself just staring at the them and zooming in for detail. I definitely want some high quality art from this game. Bravo, guys. Not for young kids for sure. The plot is poignant and there are some themes of mythology/religion enough to give it deeper meaning without beating you over the head with it. I want to learn more about this world. 1000% would buy another game from these guys.

Dark, Beautifully done

I absolutely LOVE this game and I love stumbling upon games such as these that just take your breath away. Worth every cent of its purchase, I began playing this game totally certain there was no possible way this game could last as long as I’d want it to. The scenes are mesmerizing, the artwork is very reminiscent of H.R. Giger and the themes are dark and evil. I can’t wait to play through again and make different decisions to see the alternative ending. Excellent work to the developers, I loved loved loved this game!

Fantastic game

I never write reviews nor am I a fan of point and click puzzle games like this one. I usually find them completely tedious and way to difficult. This game, however, is absolutely fantastic. While some of the puzzles are difficult, the game is linear enough so it’s relatively easy to figure out what to do next. The dialogue is short enough where it doesn’t feel like I’m reading a novel and the characters are interesting. The artwork and style is also a huge plus. Very intriguing and dark world. This is one of my favorite games on the App Store.

So good and the music is 😍

This game is so cool. It is dark, with some morbid,yet beautiful, imagery. The outcome changes based on the decisions you make in the game. It’s really thoughtful and the puzzles are a moderate challenge. Definitely not as hard as some - like you don’t need to take notes or do math like some games I have played. I actually appreciated that, bc sometimes I just want to chill and enjoy interesting imagery and music without getting too frustrated. The music was absolutely delightful and matched the scenes perfectly. Hope they make another one!

Description

A nameless hero finds himself in a place between fantasy and nightmare. He doesn't remember his name nor where he comes from. Wandering through strange lands, he struggles to discover the truth about the world around him, as well as about himself.

The dreamlike, nightmarish atmosphere of the game was inspired by the works of painters H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński. The game's final look and feel was also strongly influenced by the universes of games such as Demon's Souls or Dark Seed. This unique mixture gave life to a bleak and depressing world. It becomes clear he is its passenger against his will and the machine's destination is unknown. Those are, however, the least of his problems as the airship descends its flight towards a huge, gloomy castle which soon becomes his prison.
