Refuse to pay

It’s awesome to read these comics but the major problem is the “vip” option. Sure pay gain unlimited access cancel anytime but I refuse to pay to read. The comic I want to read only has two chapters unlocked while the rest is full “vip” plus the I checked the date the 3rd chapter update was last year and you still need a “VIP”! I would honestly deduct more stars but at least some chapters are unlocked but still not cool with “vip” optionPart 2 of review and I’m annoyed, why? Same as before VIP? Just one chapter left to read on a comic I’m reading since it started and that last chapter requires what the “VIP”. There is no other way to read it asides from the pay-to-read option which you know where I stand in that opinion.

100% would recommend

I started reading toomics on the web page. I originally added that to my Home Screen. I still have it save one there just in case anything pops up. I love the content and I feel it’s exactly what I’m looking for a lot more hard core graphic novels that actually keep my interest. Yes there 18+ NSFW stuff so if your looking for that toomics has that. There’s also a family friendly filter if you don’t want to be bombarded with see that too which is nice. Plus the price is right it’s cheap and there’s a few different plans you can choose. I recommend if your looking for some good reads. Trust me from my experience the just get the vip right away because once you start a good one you’ll get hooked and want to read more and more.

The problems I have with it

I first got this app because I wanted multiple apps for comics, and there was one comic I loved reading called “I choose you!” Plus I heard good things about this app. In my experience lots of the comics had VIP only. I still found a few which you would unlock every week and read them. I usually only check this app a few times a month. I went to check on the app recently and found almost all of the comics I really liked had become VIP, and I was almost done with them. another point is unlike WEBTOON where everyone gets the episodes of a comic unlocked at the same time, so if you pick up a comic that already has published 50 eps, you can read those 50 until you catch up. I don’t read on this app as much so I don’t know if it has contests like WEBTOON but on WEBTOON there’s usually atleast one contest a month where you can earn enough coins to unlock an episode and read ahead. Also everything on WEBTOON you read you can get for free if you wait. I guess the main problem with this app is you can get around not using money on it. If your able to pay money for it then overall it’s a fine app, the stories are good it’s just frustrating.

EXACTLY what I was looking for!

I only recently got into these free comic apps but all of them have no (or had to remove all) NSFW content to appease the wimps at apple. I’m so glad their Toomics ad was in my YT feed because it’s just what I’ve been looking for...18+ comics done in beautifully drawn images. And the price for VIP membership is VERY reasonable, unlike some apps that want you to pay $5/week to view their regular content. I not a VIP member yet, but I do plan on becoming one.The only question/concern that I have is from what I’ve seen with the free issues, all lower-regions are CENSORED with a blanked out/white spaces. Top nudity is the only thing it shows. Is this how it is for all your 18+ comics, or is it only because I was reading the free issues and that VIP issues are NOT censored?I look forward to your reply. Thank you.

Horrible customer service

I had forgotten and entered in my password incorrectly a couple of times. I am not even able to recover or reset it, due to my account being locked. I contact their help center with no help. Only a reply saying my account was flagged due to suspicious activity. Entering my password wrong can be considered suspicious. I’ve read many comments with the similar issues. I know I’m not the only one with this problem. The only reason I have an issue is because I paid for the VIP subscription membership. Meaning they automatically take money from you every month. And now I can’t even log in. I understand their concerns about getting their content stollen and reposted. This is an unfair process for both sides. There’s no way to redeem yourself, when they already assumed you were pirating their content. It’s frustrating especially when I don’t do anything wrong. I hope this flawed system gets fixed. If people want to know how to cancel their subscriptions, either contact your bank to cancel recurring payments, or go to your PayPal account and do the same. Just take the loss of previous payments if they can’t be refunded, and prevent further payments. Or they will keep taking your money every month. Whoever is in charge needs to fix this.

Pretty frustrating changes

I’ve had a Toomics account for more than a year. At first I didn’t pay much attention to the VIP status or coins needed to read already ended stories. And so I went ahead and started reading about 6 different stories that were updating weekly. I went on a break for a month after following these stories for more than a year and once I reinstalled Toomics I found that though they hadn’t ended you had to have VIP status to read them. Now I can’t finish them and I’m not getting VIP considering it costs more than Netflix per month. I’ll still give 2 stars because the Authors are good. The main reason people get the VIP is to able to read the sexual content from a browser but since this is the App Store I believe your aims should be a little different considering you can’t read those on here.

Issue as VIP member

I downloaded this app so I can read a certain BL comic. I had to pay to read most of the chapters, which wasn’t a problem at all. But after finishing the story in less than 24 hours, I find myself not using the app after that for the rest of the year. It’s been 7 months since then and I literally found out TODAY that the membership required RECURRING payments. That means I’ve been billed almost 10 bucks for the past 7 months despite me never going on the app after using it in May.Upon reading their FAQ and TOS, it has come to my attention that I won’t ever get my money back simply because I completely read through the same comic in less than 24 hours. I like to think I’m legally supporting the content creators with my contribution but the fact that I barely went on the app for the majority of the year is a little... displeasing? I admit that I am to blame for being unaware of my blunder but at the time I signed up for the membership, my only option was to go for the one month plan since that seemed the cheapest. But it seems I misinterpreted it. Maybe to prevent this mistake from happening, the company ought to offer more flexible options like one-time payments to earning a fixed amount of coins like what other companies do...

Trouble signing in

So I downloaded the app in august 2019, signed up with my gmail for the VIP account. I never had issues like a couple days ago. It says somethings wrong with my gmail. I follow the specific instructions to fix the problem and still nothing! I even went to my gmail account to see if the app’s access was removed (because it’s a third party sign in) and it wasn’t. So I don’t know what’s the real issue. Also, the website can’t even load thru safari or chrome to see if I can sign in and the browser says it’s unavailable. I don’t like to waste money and also still be charged every month if I can’t get into my account. It’ll be a real shame if my account was somehow deleted for whatever reason and I don’t have any knowledge to it.

The “Free” option

So apparently after a update on TOOMICS did, they deleted a category called “Free”, so I don’t know why they did that but after reading those comics in my whole summer, they have inspired and made my day just a little better. But now because every TOOMICS comic that I liked now costs money, It destroyed my whole months of reading and now has made me more depressed that I am right now. Thir is probably why I like WEBTOON better that what this app has given me. I mean it was called VIP for a reason, it was for VIP comics. Sorry creators of the TOOMICS app but, Because of this stupid update that has happened I deleted the app and I won’t download it again until I would like the free option back. It’s been a good run for my whole 3-4 months of enjoyment, but your not taking 8 or 9 bucks from me just for a month of interesting and cool creators on TOOMICS.

Good But...

I like it i guessIt's like most of the comic apps with the only being able to read like 5 chapters before you MUST buy the VIP to read the restI get the fact that the authors need to be paid for their hard work and the app itself needs profit so I'm not here to complain about that (I'm not really financially able to buy the VIP or i would, i know its cheap but I cant really do away with my money like that when i can use it for more important things)I've read most of the free comics (even some in genres I'm not too interested in) and there's not that many in there. It would be nice if there were more I wouldn't mind if there wasn't more anyhow. It was just a suggestion <3
