so slow

best app of its kind but it’s missing some VITAL functions, and it’s SUPER slow. when chapters update and you open the manga’s page but don’t read the chapter, the chapter notification goes away (the notif should stay until you’ve read it), there’s no sticky updates function (new UNREAD updates at the top), no download button, no mark as read or unread button, and everything moves SO SLOW. half the time the app will crash and you’ll lose all your progress for the past 10 minutes+. i paid $10 to get rid of the obnoxious ads but i have to wait longer than ads would take anyway for the chapter to load. when loading a chapter, during that long wait, there’s no option to exit out either, you just have to wait. also some titles are missing, maybe try to sync it with the new manga dex site. don’t get me wrong this app is definitely good, it just could be a WHOLE lot better. i’m at my wits end with this please fix it

Decent but far from great sadly

It’s an okay app. 1. Wish you could put more than one genre to look for. Like action, adventure, fantasy. But can only do one. 2. More manga sources. More manga sources= more books. Not a lot to choose from on here. 3. App keeps crashing or having blank screen for minutes or until I close the app and restart. 4. When I didn’t pay the $10 for no ads and it went blank screen I would keep getting ads non stop. 5. If your reading in webtoon style or vertical I wish you could just drag down to go to next chapter. Right now you have to click the screen and hit next chapter. It’s fine as is but wish it could be more fluid. But please get more manga sources. ❤️Sorry if this sounds harsh. I just had to start using a new app after iOS stopped supporting my app I used for 9 years.

Great app but has some issues

As many other reviews have said, this app is great and it’s only a simple, and cheap, one time payment to remove ads. While I highly recommend this app, I’ve stumbled upon a few issues that prevent me from giving 4 or 5 stars.Issue #1: There isn’t a feedback button (from what I can see) that easily allows you to contact the devs about any bugs or features that would be nice or need fixing.Issue #2: There are some times where various literature won’t load or work properly and results in giant ‘X’s to display on each page that fails to load or be put into the database of the app. Currently nobody has a solution for this issue and it likely requires an update to the app or whatever the app uses to store and retrieve the literature from.Issue #3: Sometimes various literature won’t update correctly and will say there’s a new chapter available but when you tap on it and go to the list of chapters the new chapter isn’t listed. I’ve waited for weeks and I haven’t been able to see the new chapters yet.If the developer is reading this, please look into adding a feedback system so we don’t have to write reviews to make you aware of bugs like the 2 I’ve mentioned here.

Good catalog but…

Missing what I think of as obvious end user privacy features.1. Give me a way to reload pages that don’t load correctly without backing out of the chapter. (If this exists make it more obvious how)2. Give me a way to one click clear the whole search history, or automatically clear it when the app is closed, because privacy. Pressing a zillion x’s annoying.3. Give me a way to clear the “continue reading” or reading history. Again, because privacy. There is a lot of assumptions in this app that the device users don’t share their devices. There needs to be more privacy options for the end user, not about data the developers collect but attention to what can be visible on our end. Although if the developers are collecting anything more than what’s needed for bug and crash reports and the minimum data for transactions… why?

Great selection but has issues and missing key features

I have been using this app for a few years now after the fall of manga rock. I think it is has some of the best selection of series to read you can anywhere but there have been issues several times over the years. Random crashes to images not loading for some chapters and most of the time the only way to fix the issue is the delete the app and reinstall but here is the biggest issue there is no way of backing up your favorites or what you have read so you lose everything had have to start all over. The other issue I have had is it has started to lose my place on series I have been reading. What I mean is if I have caught up on a series and I am waiting for new chapters and I go and read something else after reading a few other series my place on the first series will be gone. I don’t know if there is an active limit to how many bookmarks it can keep track of or what but it frustrating to lose your progress.

Good app

First off good app, I find it easier to use than most. However there are a few things that can be annoying ads between chapters, I get it the developer needs money and ad space is a way to do it, however between each and every chapter is a bit annoying especially when reading a web toon that is literally 4 pages long it’s four pages 30 second ad 4 pages 40 second ad 4 pages 30 second ad. Secondly while you can browse by genera it would be nice to be able to filter out manhwa ((botched spelling) (Chinese manga) from Manga, I get that some people enjoy both but I do not, just not my cup of tea. As of a few weeks ago the app is no longer functioning like it should, I can no longer browse by genres I have to browse by ongoing latest or the other 2 that are on the primary page. When going to the genera page it says “no data available” . And before anyone flames me yes I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn’t fix it. TLDR:Pros-in app counter of updated chapters when manga is a favorite (super nice)-good quality translations-UI nice and clean not clunkyCons- Frequent Need to be refreshed when reading chapters often shows up as a black screen -Fix: Top right corner re-click the reading style-Ads after every Chapter, regardless of chapter length

Improvements and Interaction

I’m torn because I really like this app and feel like it can make it big, like manga bird. However, I feel like more needs to be done in order to get there. Pros on this app include: wide variety of manga and manhwa not usually available on mainstream apps (which is the main reason why I installed this app in the first place), different reading styles (to accustom to different type readers), wide genre selection (including genres mainstream apps avoid), and easy to maneuver tabs and services (allowing better access to all available functions). Cons on this app include: Overbearing ads (you can get rid of them for $9.99), less convenient reading maneuvers (referring to manually clicking to read into the next chapter), and creator feedback (fact that people write reviews on how to improve the app and the creator gives no response as to whether they are fixing the issues or at least making an effort to manage them). Due to these cons I’m only giving a 3 star when I would like to give a 5. Hopefully in the future this can change and raise my review feedback.

Solid App but some recent issues.

Solid app with a huge selection, official manga by viz will be harder to come by but sometimes you’ll see a good amount however they won’t be updated to the current chapter. But besides that you can find so many manga and WEBTOONs that you can’t find on other apps. I recommend getting the ads removed because it’s just a one time payment. You won’t regret it.Serious ISSUE: this app sometimes has these x’s on the panels of either manga or manhwa which makes you unable to read the chapter. I believe this is a loading issue and I still have not found a fix. I’ve tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling but it doesn’t fix it, tried switching connections and that doesn’t fix it. So this app desperately needs an update. There is no support or contact for the app either so it’s hard to even post problems.

Great except for a few problems

Honestly this app is great, it has most mangas that I’m looking for, and it has a ton of categories. However the reason that I had to give it four stars is that it has a few problems. First, there’s just two mangas so far that have had this issue, they won’t load properly. Each chapter multiple chapters won’t load, and even if I leave the app and return they still don’t work. However if I give it about half an hour then go back in then I can get a good chapter or two before it does this again. And it’s just these two, no others have this issue. My other problem is that there’s no way to contact the creator to report these problems or see if they can help. Despite these issues it’s a great app for being free.
