Need ability to drag timer clock to preferred location on screen

I'm an adult with ADHD and have enjoyed using this app so far.Things I like: Lets you choose what cute image to use as the background! Shows in a clear visual way how much time is left. Floats above other windows so you don't lose sight of the timer (and forget that you were trying to time yourself to stay on task!)You also get to choose what cute animal picture you want (or none) and can choose the color. The big reason this loses a star is because, once you pop out the rotating timer, you can't control where it goes. It stays in one specific spot and sometimes is in the way of viewing other documents behind it. If I have more than one document open at a time--as I sometimes need to do for work--then I may not have enough room left to just move the document from behind the timer. For people still deciding whether to try this app, you can use it five times for free before it makes you pay. Then it's a cheap one-time fee to use it as many more times as you like. (I forget how much, $6?). You can decide how much time to set your timer for. 10 minutes? 30 minutes? 60? 37 minutes? Whatever you need!

Thanks for the help! One more improvement

A few weeks ago, I wrote a review for this app explaining that, although I like many aspects of this app and use it as an aid for my ADHD focus, I was frustrated by my inability to move the clock around the screen to the most convenient location. One of the developers responded with directions for how to change the settings so that I can now move around the timer clock at will! Thanks, much appreciated! One more thing I'd like to tweak if possible: The clock can make a tik-tock sound if desired. But as a deaf person, the volume is too quiet to work well for me. Yes, I've already tried maximizing the volume on my computer and also maximizing the volume on my hearing aid as well. But when I do this, the ticking sound just barely tickles the edge of my hearing threshold, ONLY if I am really focused on trying to hear it! I realize it needs to be "quiet" to not become itself a distraction, and I imagine it's the perfect volume for many hearing people. But as a deaf person, I'd like to experiment with this as my main background sound (instead of music) particularly when trying to stay focused on incredibly tedious tasks when pretty much anything that isn't a bland ticking sound is likely to distract me. For me, the maximum volume needs to go higher. Is there a good fix for this? Or is this something that could be changed in a future update for the app? Thanks for any response!

Great visuals, but too resource intensive

It uses way too much CPU when it's running — starts at 25% or so, and sometimes grows to 50% or 60% (Apple M1). Using App Tamer forces it to stay around 2-3%, but at the cost of it becoming visually laggy and slow to respond. It shouldn't take 30%-60% CPU to update a timer. Even though there's the blur in the overlay, turning it off to use the opaque window doesn't change the CPU. GPU is not being utilized at all.Despite that, it's still worth it and useful if you use App Tamer. And, it looks sleek, minimalistic, and just perfect.

surprising!

really aesthetically pleasing, smooth and well deisgned, not overcomplicated. It is what it says, it's customizable without being overcomplicated. Looks more like a $10 app than a $5 app! Love that you're able to test it out a few times.

My kid loves it! 😎

My three-year-old loves this app! It gets him to clean up his toys faster. I also use it to let him know when it is time to leave the park.He enjoys picking the color of the smiley clockface. But his favorite is watching his own face slowly appear on the screen. Because what could possibly be better than a picture of himself?! 🤣Two thumbs up from this mom!

A good ADHD timer modeled after *the* TimeTimer with nice extra features

The timer works as it should - it stays on top, it's visual (which is critical), the alarms keep ringing once they set off, so you must act on them (which is desirable) and the feature in which a puzzle increasingly gets resolved as time passes is very, very nice. (Now I need nice pictures to look at!)As someone w/ADHD, I appreciate the no-gimmicks approach this app takes. I don't need a "jack of all trades" app that will overwhelm me, nor an app with a prescriptive approach that works for the author (or for neurotypical folks) but not for me. (Those abound, huh? Apps designed by neurotypical folks for what they think the ADHD works like.)Anyhow, great app! Happy to have paid!

The app is good, but needs to allow for longer timers

This is such a fun idea for a Pomodoro timer! I wish i could time my entire work day with longer timer options lets say 7-8 hours. Hopefully. another update for pro users would be nice. For what it is the app is fun and helpful.

Sneaky Paywall

While I do love the timer; my 4yo with ASD really responds to the cute face and it helps us keep on task, I was a little taken aback by the fact that after using the app for a few weeks it no longer works unless you “upgrade” for a fee.

Fun for the kids

It works perfectly for my kids! It would work better for me if it could be set for times longer than one hour, but for the kids its great

So helpful!

Not a kid, just a time blind adult. The visual component is a great way to remind me of the time without the annoying ticking of an actual kitchen timer.

Description

Time’s Up! is a fun, visual timer that you’ll actually want to use. Whether it’s for you, your kids, or someone else, Time’s Up!

will make counting down much more engaging. Timers can be used at work and at home, whether you’re making sure you take a break or telling kids it’s bedtime.  Timers exist everywhere, but none of them are fun and visually appealing — and that can be important when you’re dealing with kids big and small! Time’s Up! has the features you need to make time fun again!  Time’s Up! isn’t just for kids and workaholics, though. The possibilities are endless: • Adults who need to set timers to stop them from working for too long without a break. • Kids who don’t want to do their homework but can be convinced to work in smaller chunks. • Setting reading or other activity timers before bed time. • Helping bigger kids focus on an activity for a set amount of time. • Setting timers for exercises — put Time’s Up! on your TV screen using AirPlay and turn a timer into the focal point for your exercise group. • Anything that’s based on a specific amount of time! What makes a timer fun? Time’s Up! has 5 fun styles to choose from, including:  • “Reveal” a photo from your Photo Library as the seconds tick down.  • “Pixelate” makes a photo more clear as a timer gets closer to completion. • “Puzzle” breaks a photo into jigsaw puzzle pieces and then puts the pieces into their places as time progresses. Alternatively, there are more traditional clock faces if you just want a simple timer. Timers can be customized with their own alert sound and color, too. Other key features include: • Sync your timers between iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV using iCloud. • Guided Access to prevent kids from switching apps and changing timers, making sure only you have the power to control time. • Airplay and tvOS support so you can put a timer up on a TV screen. • Get audio updates each minute or countdown the last 10 seconds. • On macOS, you can float the timer window above other apps so it’s always visible. Time’s Up! is a free download with a simple one-time purchase that unlocks the ability to run an unlimited number of timers. Time’s Up! has no ads or data trackers. We believe your data is your own and we don’t collect any of it.
