Need an interactive map!

I love these games, but navigation is too stressful..even when you buy the game and get hints as to where to go next, it’s a pain to get to the location. I just dont get it why you can’t click on the scene where you need to go and get there. Ruins this very clever puzzle adventure game 😒

scary and exciting

I love to play this game because it has a lot of levels that require attention and logical thinking. For me, this is very good that this game is not easy. I like logical games and the harder it is - the better for me. There are a lot of actions and locations to explore.

Felt more like work than fun.

I probably would have thought it was a good game 10 years ago, but it seems quite outdated now. I completed most of the game and then gave up because it was much more cumbersome than fun. I also skipped a lot of the puzzles for the same reason. Too much clicking back and forth to travel, needs a fast travel option.

Great escape puzzle adventure

I do not understand the negative reviews for this game. The puzzles were challenging but still intuitive. The game makes notes for you so there is no need for a pen and paper. There is a bit and back and forth but most locations branch off from one main locale. I live for escape games and this one (and the others from this developer) are a welcome diversion. The graphics are fine, no lag, and the length is much longer than many games ( a few hours of good solid distraction).I truly feel that this game lines up right with this developers other releases, maybe a bit better even. Please keep them coming.Note to the developer: thank you for offering a free option/trial. I love to try a game first to see if I like the game. Due to the free trials that you offered, I have fully purchased every game that you have offered, even though I could have gotten by with the free version.

thriller

This game is making me work with my brain!!! I like that it is not a simple app and this requires logical thinking to pass the puzzle. I like the atmosphere of thrillers and a lot of hidden and mysterious things that are around. The levels are very intriguing and every level is special. I like to play with the bag - easy to fill it.

horror and logic

This is a great horror game with a lot of logical elements that are united into one system, I like how everything is connected in this scary game and how smoothly it is to play it. There are a lot of objects to interact with which was very nice. Also, I loved the music that was playing in the background.

Super Disappointing

After playing every single game by this developer, I was so disappointed by this game. I loved almost all of their other games. They were straight forward puzzles, with varying degrees of difficulty. Clues were within the realm of making sense and you enjoyed the experience. I am not sure what they were thinking with this game. The clues are way too abstract and non-sensical. It seems like a money grab to pay for hints. I read the hint system was awful, so I am not sure what they were thinking. How did this pass testing? Did you not listen to feedback? I can’t imagine that you didn’t get negative feedback regarding this game. Sadly I lost interest very quickly.Edit: I am thrilled that the Haunted Hollow director is coming back. That series is the best! Can’t wait to see what you release. I did finish the game, because I’m stubborn but sadly cannot say I would change my review. All the scribbling on the hints and obscure connections between the diary and the puzzles just left me fried.

Good point and click but don’t buy hints

If you like point and clicks you’ll like this one. I paid for unlimited hints and am not too happy that the hints are like “go to S23 and solve the puzzle.” Only pay for hints if you want to support the developer - not for actual hints.

Great game!

Many interesting and varied puzzles. Well worth the money for the hints because there are so many locations that it can get a little overwhelming without them. It is clear that a lot of care and thought went into the construction of this game.

A bit disappointing and boring.

You know something is amiss, when you approach the motel door at the beginning, and to enter you need to press 4 buttons in sequence, but there’s nothing beforehand that you have to work out, to find out how to do so. So to enter, you either fork out the $4.99 for unlimited hints, or watch a 30 second ad. Not a great way to bring a person into the game. That’s the main problem of this game, random mini-games thrown at you, with no rhyme or reason on how to accomplish them. Walking through many endless hallways with little to no eye-candy, leads to quite a bit of boredom. With that said, the graphics are good, but not as spectacular as some Developer’s games in the genre. The mid point of this game (35 out of 72 total screens), which is a rather small game, the message comes up, pay $4.99 or the game ends. I ended it. If the game had been more enthralling, I would have had no problem paying, but this turned out to be a bit of a waste.
