Great fun

Love this version of Sudoku. Easy to use interface and daily new puzzles at multiple levels are great feature. Finally, get to compare scores with other players is really motivating.

Ads; previous purchases can’t be restored

I bought the app previously but now it fails to restore previous purchases, so it now shows ads after I already paid for the app. Hasn’t been updated for iPhone X display support either so it seems like the app has been abandoned, which is especially disappointing as I’ve been buying Astraware games since Windows Mobile.

Just OK

I started off thinking these were really hard, but once I got their "trick" I found that diabolical was not even hard. The posted scores even show people solving diabolical in seconds. Their "trick" is to "assume" that if 2 numbers are in a box in one row, the same 2 numbers will be in a box in the same row - even if one or two of the numbers is also in another row in that box. Ordinarily I would never "assume".

current version works on iPhone, crashes on iPad

This is my favorite Sudoku app - no flashy stuff to distract me from the puzzle, easy to use, and just worked - until this update. It's fine on my iPhone, but on the iPad it's useless. I can get into a puzzle, but tapping a number doesn't input it into the square, and then the app hangs and crashes. Both devices are running iOS 5.1.1.Since I play on my iPad 99% of the time, I had to revert to the previous version (I use an Automator workflow to backup the previous versions of all my mobile apps, just in case something like this happens).

Zero support

After an update, in-app purchases could not be restored. I contacted Astraware 7 times over a month through their online support ticket form. Never got a single response. Terrible, nonexistent support, and in this case a complete ripoff. $3 down the drain to these criminals.Several months later and an update. Same problem. Same crooked lack of response from Astraware. Don't give them your money. The game is good, but you will have to pay for it over and over. Avoid these crooks, who never respond to their support tickets.

Great Sudoku version

Love having separate buttons for pencil notes. Hint tells you where to look but gives you the chance to figure it out yourself. Would like to have more obvious shading difference in buttons for numbers that have all been used. Otherwise this is just about perfect.

I'm really enjoying the different options!

I've been enjoying Astraware Sudoku for a couple years now, but I'm really enjoying Sudoku OTD. I really the different options. Not quite sure why it's an in-app purchase, but hey, I like it!

Beware, can't restore purchases

I've used Astraware apps starting with Palm, through WinCE, and now iPhone. Purchased this when it first came out, and have used it across several devices as I've upgraded. Now the Restore Purchases option no longer works, just spins forever. Contacted Astraware and got no response. Add that to the fact that it isn't optimized for the iP5, and it's a sure sign that it's time to move on. You've lost a loyal customer.

Lost my unlocked priveleges

I enjoyed OTD for a couple months after upgrading from the old AW Sudoku; some things were better (could always get the day's puzzles if I had a connection), some worse (pencilmarks contrast). However, today it started showing ads. Restore purchases requests iTunes passwd but then just sits there. Banner ads really wreck the game for me. Ponied up another 3 bucks to get back to scratch, but very frustrated about the backsliding to annoying ads.

Very nicely done!

I've loved Astraware games since back in my Windows Mobile days. This new version of Sudoku has crisp graphics and challenging play. And it's proven to be big free so far. Highly recommended!
