Uninstalling due to new banner ad

Hate the banner ad so much that I’m uninstalling this game. I wish I could revert to an earlier version. Sitting through ads is fine. I probably watch at least 20 per game (or more). I play during TV commercials mostly & every time I go out of the app to view the show, I have to watch a new ad when I return. I have never complained about this because it is a free app and this is how you get your revenue. But the constant & irritating banner ad at the bottom of the screen is not fine. It distracts from and covers part of the game itself.Another bad update is that I now can’t play the game unless I’m online. That is a bummer for road trips & airplanes. I don’t have unlimited data where I can be online endlessly. I know it’s to force people to see the ads, but I already watch a gazillion ads as it is.

Trouble seeing all the cards

I just got an iPhone XR and when I try to play the game I have to turn my phone sideways(landscape). When I hold my phone strait up (portrait) it only shows the first and last column. All the columns in the middle don’t show up. It’s hard to play when your phone is turned sideways because you have to keep scrolling up and down so much because it all doesn’t fit on the screen. When I had the iPhone 8 I didn’t have this problem.

I've loved this game since I was little so this is a convenient way to play on the go. Also, the controls are simple and easy to pick up. My only problem is the ads, but at the same time I only get ads when I finish a game, which isn't that inconvenient. I would say keep it the way it is!

Great game

I love Spider Solitaire! I was glad to find an app for my iPad since I travel often and flights can be sooo boring. The one thing I don’t like is the way they place an ad between every round. That’s a bit much. Otherwise the app is perfect. Only locked up on me a couple of times and I’ve had it for months.

Game is worthless unless you upgrade to paid version

I’ve been playing this Spider Solitaire app for years and frequently using the “back” and “hint” buttons but now they are only available if you purchase an upgraded version. I understand an occasional add to pay the bills, but taking away features of the game is ridiculous. I was searching the app Stor so that I could write this review, and there were literally 25 other spider solitaire apps listed before yours. Boys, you are a dime a dozen. Your app has been deleted from my device.

Ads Block Game

This is a great game and I play it almost every day. However, since the last update 3 days ago, there are adds on the bottom of the screen which interfere with being able to play. You can’t see all the cards due to the ads blocking them from view. I know you place ads for revenue, but they should not interfere with being able to play the game! Guess I’ll start looking for another solitaire App.

New ad treatment is a little shoddy

So once realised that this is my go to game. Good for relaxing entertainment. I am happy for the developers to make money from ads, and actually often find the ads relevant. BUT, the current treatment interferes with game play. Long columns of cards don’t work because they overlap the buttons at the bottom of page. Cards are shifted around to make space without background graphics being adjusted. Cleary a rush job. See below for prior reviews ... Update - the ads have improved, and the crashing is better. A solid game play experience. Now a third review ( at the app's request) because they really struggle to get ads right. I've been so disappointed to be seeing the same video ad for the past two months that I deleted the advertiser's app. Tremor Media - shame on you. Previous content: This is my second review of this game because as soon as I commented about video ads freezing my screen, the problem was fixed. Kudos to the developers. I play all the time now and have a brilliant experience.

Addictive with a small bug (no pun intended)

I just downloaded this game as I don't play enough games! This is extremely difficult and makes you think! I've only won once with a two suit game and am hammering away at four suit. Only problem I've run in to is when my phone is in portrait the buttons do not work on the bottom. Can't select a hint, undo, etc.

Great game!! One issue...

I love this game! I recently posted a review that they needed to add sound/mute options - and they did! Very quickly too!! I’m hoping this other issue will be resolved just as quickly:When columns of cards get too long, the cards go “behind” the buttons for “undo”, “new game”, etc. In previous versions, a player could drag the cards up so that the bottom card was ABOVE these buttons instead of only being able to go directly BEHIND them at their highest (as it is now). This must be a bug from one of the recent updates. It’s a functionality issue, so not major, but it does make it VERY difficult to select cards at the bottom without accidentally selecting any of the buttons instead - which is extremely annoying!! The game is definitely still worth playing - but please fix!! Also, if you ever need a 1099 contract SQA, I have years of experience... ;)

Review

Love the game but hate how the app freezes. especially the ads. They supposedly had an upgrade on May 20 to fix the problem but it's worse than ever. Since there is an ad after each game and again when you chose how one, two or four suits, the fact that the ads freeze is frequently a problem. When it freezes you have to completely shut down your phone or delete and reload. It's not worth the effort
