Does not work 90% of the time

I had high hopes for this app and looking at 400+ reviews I decided to give it a shot but 90% of the time it does not work. So basically the concept of the app if you can block sms based on the sender info or the content of the message but it fails to block based on both these conditions. I have a problem of spam messages that do not have numbers but they come as name e.g VK-OFFERS this is shows up in place of a number and I get so many that I am fed up. If you get a message from a number it’s easy to block and you can use the iOS inbuilt blocking feature but if there are letters instead of numbers as the sender of that message then I can confirm this app does not help.

Fantastic App

Found this sms filter after lots of hit n trails. I was looking for something which could block sms with specific key words and this app did it. Just be careful to restart the phone if you are not able to make it work for first time. Not to mantion that apple’s inbuilt sms filter is a piece of junk itself. Other sms filter are so foolishly smart that they land every important bank/ Loan communications in junk folder. Trump/Loan/ credit card/ offers/ etc are not always spam!!

Actually works with no ads or crap

I was getting so many texts from 1401… and others. Stops anything you put a partial sender name. I don’t have to try to block each sender specifically. If wwww or loveyou bla bla, it stops from ever coming through. Love this product.

Almost perfect

When I first tried this app it wasn’t blocking the spam texts but now it has been working great for a few months. I had to put my own name in the spam filter in order to filter out the stupid spammers! I do wish this worked with my Apple Watch though because the notifications still come in there which is annoying!

Just started

So far I’m impressed because I’m not being hounded with advertisements, with “buy now buy now”, and it had preloaded block keywords. So it’s a breeze. It was disgusting some of the things I was receiving and during COVID with Irish triplets (twins and a singleton all under two) I don’t have money to be throwing at convenience. So I’m pleased as a hound.

Absolutely the worst app I have ever downloaded.

I’m truly livid. Save yourself the trouble and NEVER download this app. I had been receiving a large number of spam text messages referring to me by a different name (my assumption is, someone accidentally used my cell number when signing up for something a number of years back). It was so bad I was getting several texts a day so I thought, well maybe I can just block this one word and problem solved!! So I got this app. Added the name to the block list. And wouldn’t you know it, it didn’t work. Not even a little. But I thought, whatever just leave it. It’s not doing anything. But I was wrong. It blocked texts from two potential clients of mine (I’m a freelancer and rely on this for my income). Both were much more legit than any of the spam that this has been letting through and didn’t contain any of the spam words. But because of this app, I did not see them and lost BOTH jobs. And it’s humiliating to have to explain a week later that I didn’t respond because of a stupid app. Do yourself a favor, never download this app.

Junk

I just installed this spam filter and set it up. So far it has done nothing to stop spam text messages. I get 17 to 20 texts a day and the start before 6am. It would be real nice if they were deleted automatically.

Didn’t work for me

I’ve been getting a lot of spam texts lately from hotmail email addresses, where the message is just a link, this did not work to get rid of them as they come from different senders with different links every time. Plus they tend to be massive group texts so if anyone else who received the message responds, I keep getting texts even if I delete the messages, and I can’t leave the group texts because iPhone doesn’t let you leave group texts if someone in the group isn’t an iPhone user.

Works absolutely fantastic...On my phone

First of all I just want to say that this app works exactly how I expected it, it works great it does job and I would highly recommend it. however I am giving this app four stars because I love it so much but it doesn’t work on my Apple Watch so the messages still come through on my Apple Watch and I still have to deal with them so if you could make this compatible with an Apple Watch to that would be great. I am using this because I am 14 and I am not involved in politics but the person that previously used my number was very involved with the Republican party and I got 4 to 5 messages a day about it and it was very upsetting and it works perfectly to block out all those messages on my phone so compliments to the creator.

Daily irritation gone. Yay!

I get 10 or 12 text messages every day which ding my phone, my other phone, and my watch, and my iPad. They are a waste of my time and when I text STOP, they keep coming. With this app the frustration is gone. One text gets through every now and then but it is all forgotten at this point. The one that gets through is just a good reminder that I’m not having to deal with the other nine or 10 every day.
