Needs more options but it’s awesome
Amped to have the ability to see the stats of the battery but would be helpful if it was updating quicker. Also wish you could change the name of each battery. This app would be incredible with a Apple Watch version! Also needs to be able to switch between °C and °F. Would be great if for each cycle you could get a report chart showing it’s voltage sag and temperature fluctuations over time. Also have a place to store notes for each battery and or each cycle. This would also integrate a understanding of how to get the best cycle and lasting performance of each battery short and long term. Need to have a date when it was first cycled. Perhaps sync this app with another activity tracking app like Dawn Patrol to give a more complete analysis of its cycle in use. Maybe have recommendations that appear for each battery after its cycle to help you take better care of your battery. Other than that the app is legit and easy to use.
Used to work perfectly. Then they updated it and it no longer works.
When I first started using this app with my daily for 4S BMS it worked perfectly. When you signed on you could view data on any of your LifePO4 batteries with a Bluetooth module and see the state of charge, the cell balance information, as well as adjust most parameters to your liking. Apparently at some point in the last year or so they updated the app, after which it would only show the state of charge, with no capability for adjusting parameters or viewing cell balance information. It is inconceivable to me why the app developers updated the app in such a way that they caused it to become so dysfunctional. Hopefully they will do something to fix this with a future update.
It was working before 2.0.1
I have two 150amp bms’s with the Bluetooth modules. I’m glad you added an active balancer (should be 5 amp consistent and work when one cell reaches threshold). But I digress. I can no longer see the battery details. The app shows each battery and I can add them to the parallel configuration, but no data shows up and parameters cannot be selected anymore. Please fix asap!
Doesn’t work any more
I want to like this app, and I used to think it was buggy but decent, but now I can’t even detect my BMS. It doesn’t even show up. I’m hoping things are working as they should in there and I’m estimating my state of charge with the voltage meter. When I built this battery, Daly was the main company to buy a BMS from. I am really surprised that they haven’t worked this out when so many customers depend on them. If you are a BMS manufacturer, having a good app we can count on should be one of your top priorities.
Never works
App rarely connects. Such a shame when this app is all you have to watch your vitals for your $1000 plus battery. Even when it does connect, you only can view 2 things and everything else is useless. Please fix your app.
Would love to see this app improved and fixed
Seems like they released this first version and just forgot about it. Guys this app still needs your attention! Settings don’t stick, it’s laggy and it would be great if the current meter wasn’t 7 seconds behind so it could actually be used in real time, not 5-7 seconds ago time. Can’t the refresh rate be increased or something? Anyway this app is about 80% there, could be awesome but it’s not.
A little clunky but it gets the job done.
Works just fine, once you update all your preferences it will read out loads of helpful info. Little bit rough around the edges, definitely doesn’t feel like an app developed by apple but it gets the job done
Something broke
Overall I really like this app used with one of Daly’s smart BMS’s. But things went downhill a little with version 2.0. I’ve got multiple Of their BMS’s, and now the selection screen is a mess. Before I selected the BMS Ibwanted to see, and I was running. But the 2.0 update added this complicated series/parallel configurator on the splash screen, which should only need to be used on initial setup. I just updated to their 2.0.1 update (hoping this issue was fixed), and nope. But now I can’t even see any of the data. The BMS is detected, and I can click on it. But as soon as the data window opens, it’s all blank.Hopefully this is fixed soon, but I’d advise holding off on updating. If you have a version prior to 2.0, don’t update until this mess gets fixed. Again, really like the app, but it’s now broken.
Want to love this more
I have found the unit to be very awesome and easy to install the Bluetooth interface is very easy to navigate and simple to understand. Problem lies with a few specific settings not taking and sticking when they’re applied when you see the cycles never seem to change never see the kilowatt hour meter reflect anything. Seems like a app update asap and device updates are lacking. V1.1.1. Really? Who gets it right on the first go
Faulty Device or App
Very frustrated because the BMS does not open the settings windows and even though I programmed it with an individualized password when I try to put the password in it does not recognize it. There is very little support and now I am not sure whether I should leave this fall TV a mess connected to my expensive battery because if it’s not recognizing my password and not opening windows that it should then what is stopping it from sending wrong balance voltage is to the battery pack. I feel like I wasted my money
