Saw an ad and got trapped
I thought I would give it a try since a saw this add I didn’t look that cool but I was willing to give it a try, this game is really cool it’s a nice game to just play to pass time I also love how you can play offline( but you can’t level up) and everything about the game is so fun I’m happy I downloaded it
Fake gameplay in ads and extremely p2w
Originally downloaded the game after seeing a few ads showing “gameplay”. Right away you find out that it’s not played like the ads at all. The levels start off easy but soon get to the point where if you aren’t spending a bunch of money on the game you will have a bad time. Rng is rarely in your favor and even after winning you are barely rewarded. Also this game constantly shoves in app purchases in your face which is fitting cause if you don’t buy them you’re going to hit a roadblock.
Love these Games
Here’s what I’ve noticed in the few hours i’ve been playing. First off I understand the game is new so there will be a lot of things to come in the future. Some thing I hope to see?- Disable Option for the “suggestion move” it gets really distracting and annoying when looking for a good move.- Some type of multiplayer aspect. I love games where there is either some type of rankings or guild function. I don’t believe there is im on world 6 so far and haven’t seen anything like that. - The Retain a skill function is a bit odd, and misleading. I like the idea but i feel it can become annoying getting a mediocre skill on a hard level.Overall the game is really good, and I had trouble finding things I would like to change. There are a lot of 1 star reviews due to “pay wall” or ads and other things but i just chalk it up to a skill issue. For a new game 5 stars 100%. But I’ll hold off on that until we see what else the developers have to offer.
It’s hard to get gems, but it’s an amazing game
If I had to have problems with the game, it’d be with the problem of some players not including me will probably use lots of money on the piggy bank, but on the other hand, it’s a pretty unique game to set aside from other tower defense games. If you get into it enough, especially if you don’t play too many other games, you can get pretty good at it. The gold gain is good, but gems could be a bit more. Overall, I recommend this game.
Amazing game
I originally downloaded this game just for a bit of fun, but with just 10pm of playing it was already my favorite game. I love pretty much all the aspects of it, the retaining skills is such a cool thing and missions are so helpful. I think you should make it so you can play for actual rewards with no Wi-Fi but spotter then that I have no complaints. Utterly amazing.
5* Before Latest Update
Was very much enjoying this game prior to the latest update. To the point that I was actively spending money on it to support the devs. But this latest update has made the game unplayable. The addition of all the special ability squares needlessly complicates the game. I’m on L29. After the update, I can’t even beat L20 stages. You now spend all your moves repositioning away from special spaces with no moves left to actually improve units. Units that have been strategically positioned (even if not in special squares) are moved completely across the board, leaving monsters free to stream down the sides and end the stage in failure. Still deciding on whether to uninstall, most definitely won’t be spending any more money.
Too hard without paying
The game is just impossible without paying. Stuck on level 2 forever because I can’t upgrade anything without using gems to open chests. Gems cost real money. I seriously don’t understand how this game has good reviews, Apple really needs to stop these bot reviews. The only nice thing about it is there’s no ads constantly spamming you. But it’s beyond frustrating playing the same level 100 times and dying over and over at the same part without earning ANYTHING to make you stronger so you can possibly advance.
Cool
Yeah great I have gold. CONSTANTLY have or am given gold. Nothing to do with it though because you need gems (paid for currency) to open chests. Can you earn keys? Yes. Can you earn them fast enough to progress and have fun? Nope. You’ll hit a hard pay wall around the 5th or 6th map/world. There are also blatant attempts to waste your energy which you have to use 5 of to play? Why? Anyway you’ll start with a map layout that’s probably 85% to 95% gold and you’ll think that’s good. It’s awful. You’d think the more gold, the better the chest, the better options given, right? No. Unless you want to drop money on it don’t bother.
Fun gameplay, overused tropes
I love the ideas used in this game when it comes to gameplay. However there are a number of areas that amount to this being a hum-drum,run-of-the-mill, manufactured cash grab.Like most games on the App Store, this one uses one good idea unique to itself, only to implement it in an attempt to push you towards the ever present in-app purchase and micro transaction.Once the charm wears off from the new fresh concepts, the game starts to ramp up the difficulty out of no-where to incentivize you to start making purchases. Same old trope of every other heavily advertised over-manufactured app on this platform. It has no heart and no story. Just a cracked out, over marketed, dopamine push to get you to pay absurd amount of money on a game that isn’t worth more than 99¢.Spend your 4 hours of getting your dopamine and move on. Don’t get sucked into this one.
Fun game play, aggressive pay to win
I’ve been playing this game for a while now and I have had a lot of fun with it. I’ve always enjoyed Tower defense games and the match 3 puzzle is a fun twist. What I don’t like is how aggressive and intrusive the pay to win is. You are constantly bombarded with things to buy. On top of that some levels are blatantly designed to have such a high difficultly curve to make you feel like “if only I had a better unit.. maybe I’ll just spend a little to get one..” I’m all for challenging gameplay and puzzle solving but the way this game goes about it feels kind of dirty. Chapter 14 is especially bad. With dozens upon dozens tries and every monster combination it just not possible to beat fairly and you cant get more units until after it beaten. You have to have insane rng luck and even then it’s not guaranteedIf you play it casually it’s fun. But I wouldn’t recommend spending money on this game purely on principle
