Calibration is not consistent

Great star map and it shows comet Lenard. I wish there were some more detailed directions on how to use- took a while to get the compass calibration correct. Still, great app

Highly recommended. Also needs a sort option.

This app is great and includes recent articles on astronomy and related topics. I read it every day! The only flaw I could find is that the articles aren’t sorted by date, which is a pain if you read it every day and just want to see the most recent items. And, there’s no manual “sort by date” option. It seems like it would be a fairly simple fix. Is that something the developers might consider doing?

Excited

Just got the app and so far it’s all looked good, excited to see and learn some new things on this app. Doesn’t seem to be as crowded on the screen as Star Walk(still a great app). So I’m ready to see what there is

WOW!!

Man this app, so far is GREAT! And the subscription price is insanely cheap to boot! Been looking for one I liked for while now that I didn’t need a degree just to understand how to use it, etc, & at a price id be cost okay with. Also, I was actually wow’d by how I ended coming across this app, which was after got I read what info the app I was using had I saw something where could find out more about it. Link went right to it and a few sentences in, I literally stopped to see what app it was on, didn’t recognize it, so checked that it wasn’t already in by ‘queue’ of apps I download, rather than reading about, cuz besides how exhausting that gets, as I’m sure many of you can relate to by now IF you’re still reading my review, haha, anyway this app rocks. Plus couldn’t believe how cheap it is and just keep liking it more ‘n more. Anyway, I think this app is great! Thank you!

I love stars when I was five I ate a whole star because I was so hungry and then my mom said don’t do that Ethan and I was like momnimnrunning away okay and then I took all my stuff and I followed the stars I was like five then so I like couldn’t actually go anywhere until I hopped on a train at this point in my life star apps weren’t a thing so anyways I met a bear who took off my leg but as I was bleeding out I saw the Big Dipper and that made it okay so I’m recommending this app because it saved my life

Lost in space revisited.

I guess I’m just inept at locating stars. I’ve had this program and one other program for about a year now. The only things that I could find is the big dipper Orion‘s belt Venus the international space station and two other constellations I forgot the names. The frustrating thing is I got these programs so I can at least find the little dipper and Polaris and I’m still lost trying to find them. On top of that I don’t seem to be able to get this program to work for me or explain how I am supposed to use it. It makes me wonder if there’s another program that I’m supposed to get that tells me how to do this? But besides all the frustration I do come out almost every night and try to find Polaris and any other stars or constellations that are in the sky at that time.

I’ve always been interested in the stars

I enjoy this app because of the fact that I can actually on my time discover what I’ve always been interested in all my life all 45 years

Great app… but

It would be great if I could use this app to see all of the visible satellites in the night sky. A magnitude filter would be nice too. You can do that now by going back and forth between search and the sky view but it is annoying. The AR is great and the database is huge.

My daily go-to app to plan my stargazing, with one annoyance

I use the Visible Tonight feature daily to know when there is good seeing coming to my area. Great feature! That said, I find the sorting / filtering on the list of celestial objects visible to be annoying. I want to see what will be visible when I’m planning to view. I can’t find any way to sort by the time when objects become visible, meaning PM and AM hours are mixed. I would think “Date” would do what I want, but today’s PM and tomorrow’s AM are mixed in a way which makes no sense to me. Can you please provide an option to either sort by time visible, or to filter based on planned viewing time?

Description

SKY TONIGHT is a brand-new astronomical app for exploring the sky. It helps stargazers answer the three most common questions: ⁕ What is that bright dot in the sky? ⁕ What astronomical events can I see tonight? ⁕ How can I find the object I'm interested in? Made by the developers of Star Walk apps, Sky Tonight is a customizable stargazing tool, that is designed for users with different needs and wants.

You can adjust the constellation's appearance, set a reminder for any space body configuration, explore the unique relative to observer trajectory, set up a magnitude limit to filter out space objects, and much more. SKY TONIGHT FEATURES: ► Point your device at the sky to see the real-time positions of space objects on the interactive sky map. ► Activate the Time Machine and determine the position of celestial bodies at different time periods. ► Use the augmented reality mode and see the sky map overlaid on the image from your device's camera. ► Get extended information about any sky object by tapping on its name. ► Stay updated on the latest news from the world of astronomy with the What's new section. ► Turn on the night mode to make your sky observation in the nighttime more comfortable. ► Filter the objects that appear on the sky map according to their visual brightness. ► Regulate the brightness of objects on the sky map. ► Spot dozens of asterisms along with the official constellations. ► Adjust the visible constellations and customize their representation on the screen. UNIQUE FEATURES: ◆ INTERACTIVE TRAJECTORIES RELATIVE TO AN OBSERVER Instead of the classic trajectory that shows the object’s trajectory in the celestial sphere relative to the Earth’s center, the app presents the object’s trajectory in the sky relative to an observer. A long touch on the trajectories relative to the observer will move the sky object to the selected point. While holding the touch, move your finger along the trajectory to change the time. ◆ FLEXIBLE SEARCH Make use of the flexible search — quickly find space objects, easily navigate across different objects and events’ types. Look for "stars", "mars moons", "mars conjunctions", "solar eclipse", and the app will show you all related objects, events, and articles! There are also Trending and Recent categories in the search section. The first one presents the currently most popular objects, events, or news; the second category contains objects you recently selected. ◆ FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE EVENT REMINDERS Set event reminders on any time and date not to miss a solar eclipse, a Full Moon, or a star-planet configuration you're interested in. ◆ ASTRONOMY CALENDAR WITH A STARGAZING INDEX AND WEATHER FORECAST Check out the calendar of celestial events that includes lunar phases, meteor showers, eclipses, oppositions, conjunctions, and other exciting events. Learn what astronomy events will occur this month or see what happened in the sky a year ago! Verify the Stargazing Index calculated from a Moon phase, light pollution, cloudiness, and time when an object is visible. The higher this index is, the better the observation conditions are. You don’t need several apps for your stargazing planning anymore; Sky Tonight contains all the info you need. Premium Access: * The app includes paid Premium Access. Get Premium Access to use Sky Tonight with no limits! Without the subscription, you can’t see most of the interface items in various sections such as Visible Tonight, Calendar, and Search. Therefore, you’re limited in planning and improving your observations. Premium Access will allow you to unlock all the interface items in any view and make the most of all the app’s features. Advertisements will also be removed not to interrupt your stargazing experience. Privacy policy: https://vitotechnology.com/privacy-policy Terms of use: https://vitotechnology.com/terms-of-use
