Best on the app store

Kairosoft makes some of the best games on the app store and this is one of their best. Similar to game dev story but expands on it in a lot of ways. I have a lot of other recent kairosoft games and this one always keeps me coming back. So much fun to make different types of movies and hire actors. No tapping or watching ads. Pure gameplay

Been waiting 10 years for this game

Ever since I played Game Dev Story on my iPhone 3Gs way back in the day, I’ve been hooked on Kairosoft games. Also since that day, I’ve been saying that their game format would be great for a movie-production game. I’m glad to finally have it, and it’s everything I would’ve wanted in the game and more. One of the best Kairosoft games to come out in years. Would definitely recommend!

Buggy.

I’ve enjoyed Kairosoft games for years, but this one is very buggy. I am unable to “rank up” my studio despite meeting all the requirements (the challenges are met but aren’t counted); I have a contract with international movie theaters but when movies are released it says “no contract.”I restarted the game several times and have run into this bug multiple times, I can’t move past the first stage and none of the later game items are unlocked. Very disappointing.

Good But Not The Best

So here is thing thing, I have bought and played just about every single Kairosoft game (most to completion). This one is another good game, but it is not their best. Where in most, you are watching the simulation and waiting for new game+ so that you get your bonuses and can make the game go faster... this one is the opposite. There are so many pop ups and things going on that by the time you scroll from one end of your movie studio it warps you back to the other for something. It makes it really hard to get into the mechanics of the game. Some of the UI and controls are a bit obscure and clunky. So overall, it is good, but not the same and not the best.

Another fun Kairosoft game

I’ve played many of the Kairosoft and generally find them to be an entertaining way to pass the time. This one is similar to some of the others and I’ve liked it enough to be playing it a second time. I much prefer to pay one fee for the game with no in-app purchases! Keep up the good work, Kairosoft!

Excellent game

I was very relieved to see a $4.99 price tag on a kairosoft game again. This game is well worth the five bucks, though I wish y iPad was more sensitive when I tapped on a character to hire them. Sometimes I have to tap 5-10+ times before I can get the dialogue bubble that will let me bring up the menu to hire them.

I play every translated game

And this is a fun one, although some things are weird. I wish I could adjust my team after I’ve decided on the genre/theme. I can’t tell who will be best before I see what’s available to film. I also wish there were more genres.

Lives Up to the Hype!

I like it. It’s definitely different from their other games but the core formula stays the same. Try to get a high score before year 20 is up and then play for as long as you like. Or start a new game with some bonuses carried over. Its a great game I just wished their were more movie genres to choose from and more characters and film awards.

Takes me Back

This game takes me back to the good Kairosoft days like pocket academy and the early games. Keeps me wanting to come back and try to top my score. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is there’s quite a bit of crashes and bugs, plus the new game + feature didn’t really carry over very much at all, was hoping for some training and stat retention on the directors and rest of the staff.

Very good but not quite great.

This is an old school kairosoft game. It is quite good with old school combos to discover. It doesn’t have the level of complexity of their best though. Staff cannot change specialities, for example. And there is no list of discovered combos you can refer back to in the menu to see if you’ve found them all. I have been enjoying it though and it’s a pay upfront game so that’s great.
