Most accurate of the five I've tried

I've used FitBit and Garmin and those have good built-in sleep trackers. I was disappointed after getting my Apple Watch that it doesn't have a built-in tracker, I reckon so they can make more money on app sales. Anyway, I tracked five different sleep tracking apps assiduously for three months and I can confidently say REM is in the top two (the other you could call SW).I give REM the top score for accuracy, the other app the top score for additional factor tracking such as HRV, blood O2, and respiration rate. REM is my top pick if you want a simple and accurate sleep tracker. It would be hard to beat and worth a sub if they added a couple more factors that the watch can track and provide to the app.

Almost

New sleep deprived mom here. I’ve been trying to see how much sleep I’m getting with it all broken up. Such a minimal to the point app which is why I feel it will be so effective for me. Not a lot of information I don’t need to truly sleep better,and distract myself from the core of it.I like the attention to detail. The colors of light, deep and disruptive in the graph are the same to identify the score of the items below with circles next to them. It helps to easily remember them. I’d like naps to be included in the grand picture of sleep not a separate tab. Perhaps underneath night sleep. So you can look at both together and with ease. I like the smart alarm and it truly woke me during my light stage. When I stop the wake up alarm however it stops collecting sleep data, for some this might not be a problem but I am the type to fall back asleep most mornings for another hour or two, and the watch completely misses these period of time giving me inaccurate results.I’d also like their to be the option of am/pm not only military time. Other then that it looks like the sleep tracker i’ll be sticking with. 👌

Lack of any customer support when problems occur

1. Frustrated with sending REM Feedback reporting problems including sleep not getting recording and recurrent inaccuracy when information recorded and never getting follow-up contact from REM. Doubt that anyone reads my messages-why is there no customer support?2. Fitbit app is more user friendly and has more comprehensive information and additionally tracks average hours of sleep per week ( in addition to hours per night) which can be tracked back until when one started using app. It has helpful bar graphs which visually illustrate trends of sleep scores, hours slept, hours in various sleep stages, & sleep schedule for past week which REM app does not provide. Fitbit also captures nap times and adds them into sleep time which REM app does not do.

I didn’t originally love this app.

Unsolicited review. I bought this after reading several reviews about it. Wasnt crazy about paying for a sleep app when there were free one’s available (including apple’s health app). Most of the apps I used prior to this either were really not accurate or provided a million details I didn’t care about. When I downloaded this for a trial, it didn’t seem to track my sleep accurately. I provided feedback to the developer and it has become very good. It provides exactly the level of detail I want, and is very accurate now. Definitely worth the few bucks a month in my book if you want to track your sleep patterns. Ive always struggled with sleep regularity so I love it now.

Most accurate sleep tracker I've found

I've tested several sleep trackers now and this one has been the most accurate. I love that I don’t have to explicitly tell it every night that I’m going to bed, it figures it out, and it doesn’t record false positives during the day. It also does a good job of accurately reporting data to the Health app. A few of the previous trackers I used really messed up my sleep data.My only gripe is I wish there was a way to schedule daily smart alarms. Currently, I have to go in and set the alarm every night, which kind of ruins the whole “automatic” aspect of this.

Literally, the best sleep monitor app I have used

To be fair, it is only the second app I have used. For the past five years I was using a Fitbit Charge, Blaze, and Versa 2. When my Versa 2 died after less than one year, I said “Enough!” and went with my Apple Watch. At first I missed the Fitbit app because it had all my statistics in one app. But then I pulled up my Big Girl pants and started shopping and discovered this app. And am I glad I did.I often did not agree with the Fitbit app and looking at my sleep stats was a frustrating effort. This app is so accurate that I am beyond pleased.I never attained a 100% rating in the Fitbit app no matter how long or well I slept. Last night I achieved 100% and it displayed waking up long enough to put my dog on the bed.If you’re shopping for a great sleep monitor app, this one will not disappoint.

Good app but...

This is a really good sleep app, but it doesn’t correctly identify the amount of time it takes me to fall asleep. I use the going to sleep now button on my watch, and when I wake up I turn off the quiet alarm. It gets the waking up part right, but tells me I didn’t go to sleep until 4am and it only took (every time) 15 mins to fall asleep? I really go to sleep around 11:30pm and it usually takes longer than 15 mins to fall asleep. I wish there was a way for me to correct this myself.

First of all, there is no way to contact customer support. The only way I can contact this company is by writing this review. Last November, I purchased a year long subscription and then changed my mind to a lifetime subscription. I was charged for both on the same day, November 12, 2022. The year long subscription showed up on my Apple list but the in app purchase of a lifetime subscription did not show up nor was there any confirmation that it exist. So on that day I payed close to $80 for one year and now they want to renew my year long subscription. I like the app but the customer service is not accessible to even express this and I should not have to write a review as a last resort. I am very disappointed in this over charging and non delivery of the promised service. I reached out to Apple and tried to email REM to no avail. For that reason, I cannot recommend this app and certainly cannot recommend any in app purchases. Marianne Ek

Happy with REM premium

I was looking for a clean, simple sleep tracking app that would not require extra effort from me before going to bed. I tried a few competitors prior to REM that made me open their app before bed, enable microphones, or only use their app’s internal alarm… those weren’t practical for my lifestyle. With REM, I just fall asleep! In the morning I get a notification with my sleep report. I love looking at the detailed data for interruptions during the night, total sleep, time to fall asleep. If you want a sleep app the accurately, reliably, and simply does the job, REM is it.
