A genuinely fun game made frustrating by premium currency and P2W aspects

This game seems to have everything going for it. Fun battle system and skill building, genuinely fun characters and story, gorgeous environments. So, what’s holding it down?The nyanberries. The incredibly frustrating, outrageously expensive, goddam nyanberries.Okay. For context, nyanberries are a overpriced, game-blocking version of premium currency. Let me get this straight, as long as premium currency merely acts as a faster or lazier way to get good items, I’m totally fine with it. But, what the developers have done is lock most of the appearance items (such as decent and nice clothing) customization behind only nyanberries. That’s right. Your only way to get that nice outfit and oh-so-promoted customization features? 25$ bucks of premium currency for a SINGLE outfit. No exaggeration! And there’s no other way to get it. This makes the game incredibly frustrating, and vastly limits the actual ‘customization’ so proudly traunted by this game’s advertising. Turns an otherwise fun and satisfying game into an otherwise terrible experience…Tdlr: otherwise cute and fun fighting game tarnished by vastly overpriced premium currency with no other way to actually get said items, which constitute for more than 50% of this game’s ‘customization’ looks

Not friendly to players who don’t spend real money.

Have played since the game released, I really enjoy the gameplay, the classes and Guild war content. However many things in this game are locked behind paywalls. You may spend a couple hundred dollars and end up with nothing to show for it. Items such as Valkyrie set are almost impossible to get unless you drop some money. Items like these greatly increase your stats putting you above anyone who has less money than you. In game community is fully aware of this with some being so negative as to call others “poor” when they complain about the games p2w mechanics. It’s a very toxic environment.Some events seem to be geared specifically towards people that spend as you may not even have access to the “event” unless you do.Enjoy the game for what it is. Don’t come to be competitive or end up in top PVP ranks unless you are ready to swipe that card!

Fantastic Game - Bugs Fixed

Just started playin RO Origins a month ago. I moved over from Ragnarok Eternal Love and find Ragnarok Origins a WAY better game! The storylines is in native English and not some terrible Google translated version from a Korean server as they are in Ragnarok Eternal Love. The graphics are great and some storylines even have voiceover. My game hasn’t crashed at all as some other reviews have claimed. It seems like the developers listen and do a great job making the game stable, playable, and enjoyable. If I had to make a recommendation I’d say to make the party match function better or allow party content to be played solo. Oftentimes it’s impossible to find a party for lower level instances. Also, the pay aspect is a huge barrier to entry into later game content. I get that the game has to make money but perhaps there is a more effective way to do that that won’t jeopardize gameplay. Keep up the great work and I look forward to continuing to play.

Confused

So I guess I like the game it’s just there are a few bugs like my character turning around every time I talk to a nft or my pets going through buildings those glitches, I haven’t had a big glitch yet so it’s been alright except there haven’t been much players online lately, I’m in a guild and no one has been online which confuses me as they prob just joined a guild and left the game but other then that it’s been pretty fun well although I still don’t know how to get nyan berrys, do we have to pay for it? Or is there another way I just don’t know?

Fun for a few levels, then impossible to do anything

This game is fairly fun. I like the combat, the graphics are nice, story seem ok, but there is one, major issue. Very early in the game you’ll need to go to an area that has some level 3 monsters and some level 90 monsters that are aggressive. You’ll die instantly upon getting sent to that zone. Everything you try to do there leads to getting killed in 1 shot, but that’s where my current, low level quest has me going. It got to be too frustrating, so I quit playing.I also found it odd to interact with NPCs. You have to tap on them, rather than getting an action icon. I play on iPad, so tapping on something in the middle of the screen when my hands are at the sides is a bit awkward. I also found the camera very, very, very sluggish when trying to move it out from behind the many, many trees that will block your view, and I didn’t feel like I could quite zoom out as far as I wanted, nor tilt the camera, leaving me feeling like I could never see where I was going.I like this type of game, but this particular game leaves a lot to be desired.

Game is officially dead.

I stopped playing this game in February while the game was still thriving, I've just returned in November to an empty game. While playing, I've only seen a few actual players compared to the hundreds that used to be online at all times. This pretty much eliminates the possibility of taking down MVP's and pretty much all aspects of the game that require you to join a party or play with other people. From what I understand, Gravity has released other Ragnarok games and it looks like they've cannibalized their entire player base for Origin. I don't understand why they would pump so much money and effort into this game, just to undercut their own efforts. It's really sad to see this happen because it seemed to me that they finally released a proper successor to Ragnarok Online. In its current state I can't recommend this game to anyone anymore because of the sheer amount of things you're unable to do because of the lack of other players. I really hope Gravity can get their priorities in order so this game stands a chance of returing to it's former popularity.

The best! 😜

So I played this game and I think it’s really good, and getting the outfits are not hard all ya gotta do is beat levels and get the required resources like the headgear, you just need to get matirials. Anyway I think the game is great and the graphics and I made a friend named moonwalker and we are close friends he took me to the secret cherry blossom grove and it was sooo pretty 🌸🌸🌸🌸 we laid down and looked at the sky in the green grass and there was a gazebo so we sat down there and had a picnic!🕊🍱. So I highly recommend this game it’s soooo fun and I love ❤️ it

Ragnarok has been falling.

The game was alright. I played at launch for like 2 days then stopped . Came back recently to see how it’s doing, and the game was crickets. There was almost no one online. Finding a party for dailies was an absolute mess. So I just continued doing my story quest, which I think is pretty good to have there when multiplayer content isn’t possible. I think this game would’ve benefited greatly just having a simple PC port rather than being incentivized to play mobile or even a emulator. I also think all these “Ragnarok” games that’s out on Mobile are hurting eachother. RO Origins came out after ROM: Eternal Love , but yet it feels the other way around ? Y’all are managing too many ROs at once and it shows. Just focus on one please. You guys just released a Ragnarok mobile game with “NFT” in its title. C’mon Gravity , NFTs ? Really ? All I’m saying is this game could’ve been better if the team(s) that works on Ragnarok just thought about the players. More than likely could’ve netted more $ too , assuming that’s what y’all care about .

This Game is not healther for long-term players

RO is no double of the most classic RPG game ever created, IMO. I used to play the original version. I found this version not too long ago. However, there are so many flaws with this version. The gap between free-to-play players and pay-to-win players is so big—everything in this game costs. Even the most minor upgrade costs you expenesive currency. If you want to be strong in this game or at least be useful in PVP, you have to pay your way to be strong. I'm talking about spending at least over $5-$10k to be within the top 10 players of the game. Everything is at a low rate, from upgrading to cards to loots. You have to depend on your luck and dollars. Additionally, for experience in farming and hunting, everything is limited. After completing all the events, you have nothing else to do. Literally. NOTHING TO DO. This game is not healthy for long-term players.

Ro nostalgic ruined by poor service

Been a Ro online player since 2002 and it’s been 20 years. I’ve experienced many versions of Ragnarok game and this one could be a better one if they do care about players.Roo NA is surely a pay to win game like many other online games on phone. But this one is unique for totally no efforts to hold a basic low-cost player ground. The drop rate for the cards, refine success rate, accessories drop from mvp all set at low rate. And they kept on adding features which u need to pay to catch up. While low cost players are having trouble achieving first or second +15 gear, whales are hitting +20 for a set. Many players left after facing the gap between whales and others, knowing your game experience is limit to the level. Roo NA management team also doesn’t treat players who pays good cash fairly too. The top level cross server Champion tournament is like a bad joke with players can’t respawn or frozen. Top level MVP the only resource to receive the current highest level accessories are dropping wrong items making entire physical classes can’t get their accessories even you had a drop with rare rate. And the gm giving different solutions according to their mood for such bugs. Not to mention the current so called Roo 2.0 launched in haste. Tons of bugs are constantly posted through discord and tickets while no solution or at least a positive reply to handle such issues.
