Great game

This game is so much fun. I have one major problem though. My game keeps resting. I’m still playing the game but I hope it gets fixed.

Ugh

This game is super fun and a bit even addicting, but at this point I just had to get rid of it because after the 3 th time leveling up almost all the way (this week) it has reset my progress and it’s extremely annoying to have to start from scratch every other day.

Restarts, but good game

This version of the game might be better than the other one with all the decals and ships and things. However, like many people have been saying, the game keeps resetting my progress. Sure I have all my Tris and my ships and trails, but all my attachments, all my decals and all my high scores keep resetting. I just finished leveling up all the way today, and I came back on a few hours later and lo and behold, I was reset. I’m kinda irritated.However, that aside, it’s a good (and might I say, addicting) game.

Modern classic, updated

Race the Sun has been around for a few years now, but it still feels fresh and engaging to play. It has an addictively simple formula: navigate a fast-moving ship through an environment full of obstacles, and keep it going as long as you can before you run out of juice or smash into something.I'm normally pretty down on free-to-play games because I hate being bothered with ads all the time, but RtS is thoughtful about their inclusion, and you get quite a bit of free play before you're ever asked to view an ad. There's also an extremely reasonable $5 unlock option that removes the ads.If you somehow missed this game earlier, you should give it a shot! And if you have already played the original, it's worth checking out this improved version.

No controller support

Great game, but i would love it to implement some controller support! If you devs see this, I just want you to know that i think it would make a really great addition to the game!

Resets are an issue

As mentioned in a few other reviews, this game randomly resets your progress back to 0. I’d love to give this game 5 stars because it’s hella fun. You should definitely still download it. But I’ve given up trying to make progress :/

Great gameplay, begs even paying users to watch ads

Having a microtransaction and ad-supported model is one thing, I won’t fault Race the Sun for that. But even when you pay to remove the ads, the game still prompts you to watch ads to revive, to increase your score, etc. and the career progression is still paced such that you basically need to pay indefinitely or put in dozens of hours to get enough currency to unlock anything meaningful.The fantastic gameplay is held back by that.

I paid for the no ads and the tris multiplier and then just a couple levels more and I maxed out. No more challenges, anything. Why did I pay for all this?

Not bad

Had been looking for a replacement for Breakneck, this is close. Some levels are kind of sparse as far color/design goes, that grey-ish first level gets pretty boring to look at after many races. More power ups would be nice, if you don't find the right path through a level you can miss the majority of them. Definitely needs an extra life from the start, I rarely made it past the 4th level and having to restart from the beginning after just one crash gets pretty old. And after grinding forever as a ftp'er and finally earning enough to buy the most expensive ship, I was pretty disappointed with how similar it was to the first/free ship...after that much time, I was hoping that thing would be a rocket...it was not.
