Wonder app with so many resources

I love this app! I’ve been doing the 30 day perfect pup training and it is really helping to keep the focus on training specific skills. My pup also LOVES the training treats especially the freeze dried rabbit. I can get her to do just about anything for that rabbit. She also likes the beef liver, chicken, and blue berry. She doesn’t care for the sweet potato or salmon yet, but I’ve noticed with introducing treats to a pup that some take longer than others for their pallet to adjust. For example she wouldn’t try the chicken for several days, but one day took the chance to lick it and then was hooked. I’m just glad I bought a variety in the beginning so I could test out what she liked the most.

Great for any dog owner - new or old

This app can help tackle just about every challenge in dog owning, with step by step courses and informational videos. I’m no stranger to dog training but I still went to this app when we got our newest puppy. It helps to keep my organized in my training, and log how we’re doing. Most courses are free, aside from a few of the more “fun” tricks. Plus, they offer treats and training tools through the app that you can get deals on by doing things in-app. Beyond this there are articles to read and help with other dog ownership things (current highlighted is “7 ways to tell your dog isn’t getting enough exercise”). Everything about the app has something to help you. I’d recommend to anyone

Disappointed

I’ve had lots of trouble technically. A video will start, and then I lose audio. This has happened repeatedly, on multiple lessons. Only lesson I, video 1 Ever worked. Other utube videos work well—by other trainers, and other Pupford videos with Zac. I enjoyed the content that I did get to see.Since the review above, I’ve been able to access videos and audio’s consistently. Because all of digital stuff is like magic to me, I wait to get a notice from Zac aboutAnother of the 30 day program. I watch that one—-enjoyed all so far. Then, after that success I go back to my own 30 day list of video lessons and watch one that I missed early on.The program seems to let me learn on my own path—wacky as my path might be. I’m a Luddite, truly, but these lessons are valuable and worth fighting for. To see one is a victory to me—I realize the rest of the world just manages everything easily. To provide knowledge and skill training and a good bit of counseling is a benefit to puppy owners. The quality you provide makes me forgive the constant marketing (some of your people must wear suits and ties to use such a heavy touch—as if all puppy owners must be nitwits with credit cards). Well, in truth, I have been a bit of a nitwit about my 5 month old mini sheepadoodle.

Great tool

I truly love this. I highly recommend it to anyone who has gotten a new pup. After looking at all of the trainings techniques, step by steps, and buying the treats, I truly felt confident coming in and getting my new puppy. My first day on the calendar started with “leave it” which I obviously couldn’t get my 8 week lab to do haha it is also taking longer then three days which is okay because it may only take three days for some dogs. So I did have to jump around a few days. Like sit was day 6 but and I taught her that before “leave it”. We’re at 11 weeks now and we have: sit, lay down, stay, stay from a distance, stay at the door, crate training, speak, leave it (still working on leave it on the ground), play dead, leach training (we get our good and bad days). That is all truly thanks to Zak. We 100% would not be where we are at without this app and his videos.

Loving it! It’s the best out there!

I absolutely love Pupford! And so does my dog! I was introduced to them when a neighbor gave me a bunch of unwanted dog stuff and there was a bag of the freeze dried salmon treats. Since there’s over about 400 treats per bag (ranging from the size of a pee to the size of a kidney bean) they lasted much longer than any other bag of treats out there. And to my surprise the cost was only a fraction of what I was expecting! The stop go method for leash etiquette worked within 24hrs of trying it with my nearly yr old mixed blue heeler! And with the freeze dried salmon treats I was able to teach her how to shake and sit pretty within less then a day. It’s my go-to for anything and everything dog. Their daily news articles are always useful, helpful, and very informative. Not to mention more often then not the daily articles tend to be just the kind of advice that I didn’t realize I needed at the time. Plus they are always fun to read.

So grateful!

My soulmate Mickey passed last year so I went and got another dog quite soon after. Well this time I got a puppy. Well his photo was a bit misleading as was how big he was supposed to get but I like big dogs even though I’m older so thought ok I can do this but oh my goodness what a handful. Mac couldn’t even walk on a leash when I got him. I couldn’t control him even though I’d tried another training program wher he just did what I asked when he felt like it I was at my wits end. Thanks to Pupford he has learned so much and thankfully quite quickly. He can now walk on a leash, sit, lay down, stand as well as look at me and leave it. He comes when called most of the time. So even though we haven’t finished all 30 days I’m thrilled! I’ve gone from considering giving the dog back to loving Mac more than I thought possible. It truly has clinched our bond . The best part is if you have trouble getting the message through as I did with lay down with Mac there very quick to send other suggestions and they work!

Awesome

This is a great training app. Takes you through basic commands and more with Zach. Lots of helpful videos to accompany you during your rough puppyhood stages. It can also be used for adult dogs too. Which I did. It definitely keeps us busy since we are stuck at home during covid. I have used it on one dog so far and plan to do my other dog soon! Helps build bonds between you and your puppy/dog not to mention they will be well behaved if the training followed through with. Consistent training can also build your dogs confidence in the long run. There’s also a great Facebook community you can join thats related to app if you are having issues. Lots of experienced people and a fun Facebook community to be apart of! I hope you get a great experience out of this app like I did!

Very large lab

I have a movement disability & can’t run with my dog but walking is ok sometimes. The training has taught me & my Jake that there are ways of working around that. I love that baby & have to laugh at his silly personality. He is kind & gentle but at only a year old I understand his need to run & chase. I have supplemented that by having a close friend bring her dog over 2-3 times a week & they run & chase all day! He is a very large lab being 105 pounds of solid muscle. He was 1st born in a litter of 13. He remained the largest one, but I knew when I saw him that he was mine.Training has been good through Pupford sometimes not easy, but we have done well with the detailed exerciseys to follow. I sometimes feel guilty about him not being in a more active home or environment but he is always so attentive& loving to me. Every time I find a new training on the website I become excited to have a new adventure for Jake & I. Thanks so much.

Pupford Beef Liver treats

Our daughter-in-love introduced us to this amazing company at Christmas. She gave our Harley a bag of the Beef Liver treats. Our fella is a rescue who we adopted when he was 9 months old. He’s almost 4 years old and we are so excited that he loves Pupford so much. We have always had to hand feed him and he only will eat fresh baked chicken or turkey. We have tried every dog food, topper, etc. He sniffs every bite before eating. He suffered some kind of trauma during his first 9 months of life. Thanks to Pupford Liver treats, i mix a handful in with his Blue Buffalo kibble and he now eats about a 1/2 cup to cup a day by himself sometimes. So awesome!! He also loves Pupford’s snuffle mat. It is a wonderful bonding time, especially when Harley starts to feel anxious. Thank you Pupford we love your tips on your page too.

Working for me

I am the new pet parent of a miniature dachsund puppy, clear cream color with blue eyes! Adorable, yes! Work to be done to guide him into this new world YES and YES. I’m no stranger to the world of getting pups started. I’ve take myself and 2 beloved dogs through Household Manners, Canine Good Citizenship, and Therapy Dog Training and testing. I learned lots of good things through these experiences that brought success. But there were questions I was left with that Pupford is beginning to address. The psychology of training is what I was missing. The way a dog thinks, why some things work and others don’t. The fact that dogs are not linear learners and the setting realistic expectations for you and your pup, while learning to enjoy the ride. I can’t imagine life without our dogs! I’m glad to have training guidance that helps me build a new understanding of the way a dog processes new information and incorporates it into his/her approach to those in his/her world. Thanks Pupford for giving me the tools I needed!
