Need to pay to even see preview quality.
After making an account and taking the photos and uploading them you get asked what quality you want it and with a 40 image scan it was between $1.80 and $5 starting with a preview to full. So cant even test to make sure you got the object completely covered without paying.
Warning, monthly fee
No capital purchase is possible, they instead wish for a SUBSCRIPTION... sorry, but this isn't acceptable for our use case. Would rather pay $50 and be done with it.
Can’t view RoomPlan scans
App keeps crashing.
Scans flawlessly but video needs work
The scans I get from this app are fantastic and very fast, but while extracting photos from a video I consistently get a memory leak that requires me to restart my computer. If that gets fixed then this is an easy 5 stars.
RoomPlan Export Broken
There is an issue with the RoomPlan API. When you click OBJ as the export option. It still produces a USDZ file instead. The USDZ option also produces usdz
Totally not recognizing high-quality JPEGs
Tried multiple times to process a test coffee cup object shot with my mirrorless camera. images were processed into high-quality JPEGS. Got error message saying it could not recognize my files -> try shooting with different backgrounds and with more images. BTW, I started with over 80 images.Tried again with one of my professional quality dark background. no lucktried again with a neutral gray background. still no luckFeels like I am chasing something that is not suitable for my needs.

This is amazing, I haven't even begun to think of all the applications for this type of thing. Want to leave a good review to support the developer.
Absolutely AMAZING 3D scans from videos
As a young game designer I thank you SO MUCH for this! I literally just needed a white piece of paper and I could scan any object I wanted to, and if it's an object from outside you don't even have to isolate it against the background. I also love how you can make models for free even if they are one at a time, as someone who does not have a proper job yet because of my age I am so greatful for this program!
Developer "collects . . . user photos and videos"
According to the developer, they collect “user Photos and videos” among other things, and these data are linked to you. I’m not sure how anyone can use this app knowing that whatever media are being used to create photogrammetry models are available to the developer. It’s just plain disgusting.
Non-functional
The app store says that my computer can run the software and it does. However the application itself has, in red text, "Your Mac does not support on-device processing" and asks me to click on a link that just takes me to this store page. None of the features work as advertised.
