Simple & great journaling app!

I’ve had this app for a while now and I really like it. I initially downloaded like 8-9 journal/diary apps, to test them out and this one won. The other ones were nice but too much going on, cost too much (i don’t like monthly fees) and just was more complicated than they needed to be. I was looking for a simple straightforward one, that didn’t cost a monthly fee. The set up on this app is clean, simple, there’s an option for a password/Touch ID and I appreciate the mood/weather tracker. I reached out to customer service once, they replied pretty quickly and they were overall great. I highly recommend this app!

A Simple Diary

I have been using a digital travel diary for several years but wanted something more. I didn’t want a lot more, just a little more. Personal Diary is just a little more, but maybe too little more. I like that it quickly saves to iCloud so you can start an entry on one device and continue it on another. I also like the ability to add photos to an entry. The best part, of course, is that this app is ad-free. On the negative side, I don’t like that you can see the listing of entries on the front screen. If you have a lot of entries, it could take you a while to find the one you want. I think it would be much better to see a calendar from which you could quickly search for your entries. It does include a search box which works very well, but if you’re looking for a particular date, you’ll have to scroll through all your content to find it. Also, when text is selected on my iPad, the context menu glitches in and out so you can’t choose anything on it. This is a good start, and I like it’s simplicity over the bigger journal apps. But it could use a few touches to make it better.

Excellent diary, love the multiple diary function!

I started using this about 2 weeks ago. I love it’s simple features. I like that it slides to a side bar out of sight until I swipe it over, unlock it with my face, then go directly to add an entry. Simple, clean with no fussy stuff. I track treatments for an autoimmune disease. I then thought, I wish I could write a different diary for helping me track the foods I eat for my weight loss. Low and behold, it has a book icon, where you can create different diaries. Yea! Just what I was looking for! So now it satisfies that need. I didn’t want to write my treatment and the foods I eat into the same diary, which would not be conductive for me to quickly check when my last treatment was. This diary also supports backing up to my iCloud, and I can put images in the entries. I haven’t done that yet, but it’s a convenient feature. So thank you support team for making a really nice app that I don’t need to subscribe to.

Great Free app

Was looking for a free replacement with iCloud sync for Day One and found this little gem! I call it little but it actually does all I need, which includes inserting photos and the weather for the day. Diary is easy to use and syncs across my iPhone and iPad without issue. I really don’t like having to sign up for extra cloud services so the iCloud sync was the most important feature I was looking for in a journaling app. No ads and no pressure to pay but the option is there if you want to use it as I did. I’m sure that, like any programmer, the author will probably make changes over time. Just hope he keeps it nice and simple like it is now.

The app that pays

Being a guy I thought it was silly to do this but it really clears your mind which frees yourself . I really do not know how to explain it but here is something I did . My dad was diagnosed with cancer and 6 months to live which he made it 3 months. I got to spend time with him and got a lot of questions answers . I started writing here and with the new knowledge I started asking him more questions. He was a true ladies man and wasn’t around most of my life but I piece everything together on a daily basis. Then I wrote into another app as book format and then audible which turned out more content than I expected. I am happy to say both formats are have gone way beyond what i thought. I was able to make enough to buy a car with clean cool cash and now I am writing more in different genre’s. Guys if ever want to write a book go to nursing home and make a friend without any expectation cause books do not have to be a explosion to a hit !!

Very helpful App

I was looking for something to help track health issues that I’m experiencing in hopes of finding a commonality of causes. While I don’t use it every day, I am able to track events in my life, medicine and weather changes to see if they impact how I feel. I can quickly check any complaint when I get to my doctor’s appointment on my cell phone, even though I make my entries on my tablet. They migrate to my phone seamlessly. This helps me to tell my doctor symptoms I might otherwise have forgotten! Love this app. It is also very simple to use and the little icons that show weather also help me quickly to note rain or sun.

Good app, bad update!

I've always really liked this app. It's a really good place to store all my personal entries, and it's been nothing but reliable. The app was perfect...until the recent update came out. My app now laggs when I scroll down through my entries so much that it takes 1-2 minutes to actually reach the bottom of my entry page, and even then, the app sometimes crashes from the lagg. Not only that, but when I'm writing a new entry and want to scroll back up to fix something, it automatically scrolls right back down to where the cursor is, which is quite frustrating. Whenever I tap an area in the entry to edit it, the cursor doesn't appear in the area I tapped, but the lowest point in the entry. Please fix these errors, and most of all, fix the lagg, as it's becoming unbearable.

Best app ever

OK first of all I want to start with telling you guys that I’ve use this app for five years. As a Visually Impaired user I have to say that this is the best app out there, especially if you need to write down your emotions feelings are just about anything. This app is truly amazing and so many ways. I’ve downloaded so many diary apps before but they are very difficult to use and this one is just perfect. Especially if you’re a visually impaired individual who is just looking to write down how they feel or what they think. I totally recommend this app for anyone who is just looking for something simple to use

Grateful

I’m very, very, very grateful for this diary app!!! You have NO idea just how grateful I really am. This diary app is very secure and private; especially when I need to keep certain things in my life private. This diary app has always been there for me to write out how I’m feeling in a judgement-free zone anytime something new or interesting happens in my life or most importantly, anytime I am dealing with rough patches. Point is that, this personal diary app is a real lifesaver. Without it, I don’t know where else to vent out my feelings freely. I find the personal diary app to be very therapeutic and enjoyable although, I highly recommend that the app adds more NEW colorful themes or backgrounds to choose from to make it more striking and interesting. Other than that, I’m very grateful for this personal diary app😌

Exactly what I was looking for!!!

I’d been looking for a simple-to-use, basic journaling app to record daily thoughts and this app is PERFECT for just that. I love that you can include photos and with iCloud backup, it easily syncs to my other Apple devices. The reminder option is helpful, and like that I have the option to turn it on/off. The fact that this app has NO ADS and is FREE is awesome. It’s an elegantly simple, yet very useful app. Writing things down can be so therapeutic especially during these unprecedented times; whether its a lengthy entry, or just a few words or lines. Life goes by in such a blur and I’m glad to have found a quick way to record and look back on my own impressions of daily life. My thanks to this app’s brilliant young creator, keep up the good work! 😁
