Waaayyyyy to easy

I thought this game would be like a puzzle and you’d have to figure stuff out and put some thought into it. But it’s like it’s on beginner mode all the time. I’m on level 231 and it hasn’t been even remotely challenging. You don’t have to think at all you basically just go where the lines lead you. Where is the challenge? There is none. I keep hoping the game will get more challenging as I go but I don’t want to play to level 1000 to see if anything changes. I’m bored to tears. This game is for ages 4+. Very disappointed in myself for wasting so much time playing a game whose ad was clearly misleading by making you think you’d be trying again and again to solve the puzzle. Maybe this company is the kind that will listen to its consumers and make needed changes.

Fun but annoying

Painting the cubes is a lot of fun. Not a word game, card game, match three game. No death, no violence, just a cube and some paint. It makes you think, which is great. But the ads...beat a level, watch an ad. Beat a level, for extra coins, watch an ad. Beat 2 levels, watch an ad. Not quite 50-50 ad to gameplay, but probably 40-60 ad to gameplay. More levels than ads, but keep in mind that a level only takes a couple minutes. I still think it’s fun and original. The game itself would be a 4 or 5 star game. I’m only level 30, so I have no idea what’s ahead.

I would pay to skip to the level in the ad

The ad for the game actually looked interesting, so much so that I would even pay a few bucks to be able to skip to that level of difficulty. So sure, you got me to play way too many levels and watch way too many ads only to be disappointed every time, but now I HATE you and will never play another one of your games again. There doesn’t even seem to be a way to pay to get rid of ads, which I probably would have done if you gave me the option during the honeymoon phase of this game. But hope you’re happy with the tiny ad revenue and embittered consumer you produced instead.

Not really a puzzle game. Just swiping.

300 levels in and the normal levels with no move limit are still very obvious with where you need to go. You’re just following a path instead of completing a puzzle. The challenge levels could be interesting but the move limit makes what could be a puzzle into a game of chess and you need to watch ads to try them again. At the end of every level the game tries to get you to watch an ad for a stupid skin. The knock off Animal Crossing or whatever house building is copy pasted from their other games and pointless. This game’s about sliding a block around where does the world building thing fit in at all?

Needs Variety

I have sat and played through over 500 levels. Level 534 is so simple a 6 mo old could do it. You think it would get harder and more challenging the higher levels you go. But I can tell you putting a couple of interlocking figure 8s with only one path to go down no matter what you do is not challenging. I was very hopeful for this game to get harder that I kept telling myself it’s go to get harder than this. But after going through the levels I have and seeing duplicates and mirrors of the duplicates I am pretty sure this app has no challenge left to offer. Play it for a while on the free version. It don’t waste the money on removing ads because they won’t waste their time making it challenging.

One Improvement

I like the game a lot. In fact, it’s only one of two games I’ve paid to remove the ads. I really enjoy that I can play and multitask, like watch something or talk to someone, but still feel smart. My only problem is that I really wish you could rotate the cube to see the different pathways. Because you are unable to do so, it feels like less of a puzzle or game of logic and more of a crapshoot. I’ve spent up to an hour on a level because the line zooms past a certain area that hasn’t been painted, and I can’t figure out how to get there. Also, much less important but I think a free paint mode that’s kinda like a fidget cube would be really cool.

Every single game by this company is too easy.

Perhaps easy and mind numbing is what some people want, but I’m not that type of person. I was more challenged in grade school than I’ve been in any of this companies (as well as other companies) so called brain teaser type games from puzzles to connecting dots to making a complete line around a cube. Your have to be a moron or with a diminished mental capacity to not get past the first twenty levels of these games and the hours of advertisements that only go away if you cave in to the annoyance. The game functions fine, but I’m done with this company until they come up with truly challenging games like The Room or Myst.

Fun Game Ruined by Crashes and Ads

The game is easy and satisfying. It over-uses haptics (that little “buzz” you can feel with your phone). It feels good, but I think it chews up my battery life. The game drains battery quickly. Like most free games, there are an annoying number of ads. It makes finishing a level a pain, rather than a reward. Finally, the game crashes, regularly and often. It began crashing more and more the farther I played into the game. Too many ads is a forgivable sin. But let me buy my way out of most ads. Chewing through battery is annoying, but give me a simple way to mute the game and turn off the haptic buzz. But a game that crashes regularly and often, especially one as seemingly simple as this one is absolutely unforgivable!

Fun but too easy

I’m currently in the 500s level wise and the game has failed to become any harder since level twenty. I’ve kept the app because it’s something to do when I have a moment or need something to do with my hands, but don’t expect much from it. You can pay in coins to access more difficult levels, but if you fail the more difficult levels, then you have to watch an ad to try again. And speaking of ads, there are SO many of them. After every level, you’re forced to watch an ad. You get hardly any coins UNLESS you watch an ad. Like, I get it, it’s a free app. Ads are a part of it. But there are a ridiculous number of them, just too many. The reason I give it 3 stars is because I’m not hating the experience. It’s a decent app, but too many ads. I’ve literally never left a review on an app before, but I felt the need here.

I like it

Yes, like some people say, the levels are very easy. Funny how some people have given up after lever 20 or 30. Well, I’m on level 4287 and still going. I just wish that there were more different patterns. It’s too repetitive. But I like it not because of it being challenging because is not but, because it is relaxing. As far as the ads, that does not bother me. I do not have any ads. I turn off WiFi and it limits the amount of ads. So please, do more designs, and maybe give the option of changing the colors of the cube and give it some patterns also. That might make it a bit more challenging. How about a see through cube. Sometimes I wish I was designing the patterns. Tu love it very much so keep it going.

Description

In Paint The Cube, it’s your job to navigate colorful paths through a maze by painting lines. But here’s the tricky part - the maze is spread out over a cube, and you can’t see where the end of the path is! Swipe up, down, left and right to spread colorful paths around the cube.

It’s super satisfying to watch the cube twist and turn as you paint it with color. But watch out - it gets trickier as more paths appear! So make sure you don’t leave any path unpainted, or else you will need to retrace your steps to solve the puzzle! Which direction will you take to make it to the end of the maze? It’s your job to think outside of the box (or cube!) to make sure you complete each tricky challenge. As you complete more levels, you unlock more beautiful colors and patterns to paint with. It’s you against the cube - have you got what it takes?
