So far this is incredibly helpful!!! I wish it was made sooner. I appreciate how you get to see the experts answer directly next to your own. It really forces you too think critically. I love playing sim games but have had trouble finding a productive way to play them. This app is practical and effective at applying theories in nursing practice.I know I will for sure use this prioritization structure in clinicals.
Useful App for Teaching Nursing Leadership
I will use this app as an adjunct to my nursing leadership and management course when we cover delegation and staffing. Very interactive, gives rationales. Great learning tool!
Description
A mobile game to help nursing students practice the multifactor decision-making process of nurse assignment, which includes accurately recognizing nurse competency, assessing patient acuity, and determining how to equitably delegate which patients each nurse sees on a shift. While these skills have traditionally been difficult to learn without being on the job in a high-risk environment, this new practice tool allows students to fail safely, without affecting patient health. The app was developed in partnership with faculty member Larry Z.
