Beware

I gave this a try with only partial success. You need to download the connect app for your mac from the developers website in order for the iPhone app to work. However you receive warnings that the app cannot be verified- so, you have to override the security settings to allow the install. Once I did that, launching the app on my MacBook didn't seem to work the way I expected. Two icons showed up in the top of my screen (in the bar next to the battery icon and stuff). The iPhone app found my MacBook right away. Next, opening up a PowerPoint I was able to get the presentation started, but PowerPoint on my mac started giving me messages that it needed to download font after font and each font file was extremely large. This was alarming. I "skipped" downloading anything. Next the iPhone app kept losing connection. The only thing that I successfully did was to start a presentation. After that nothing else worked.

Doesn't work

I never could get the app to connect with my computer. I tried first on my laptop. The software didn't install correctly. After clicking around on their website I tried again from a different page. It installed. However, it never could connect to my phone. Sigh. I tried on my desktop. Same result.

Excellent PowerPoint Controller & Highlighter

In our organization I have introduced several visiting presenters to MyPoint so they could move around the room, while controlling their charts with their iPhones (or mine). They all love it!The $2.99 Markup feature is popular too because you can focus audience attention quickly on a busy chart.Great app. Recommend it highly.

Not works

It works, but very poor. I needed to reset computer and app couple of times. Started to work but in the middle of presentations became non responsive, there is no support for back end mode so if for some reason you make something else on the phone you need reseting everything. Crap....

Unstable, poor navigation

The concept is perfect for our needs in our worship service but the entire connection on an excellent Wifi is poor. It loads slowly, times itself out. Doesn't render realtime controls. Using a mouse to click back and forth is probably our best option. I would have loved to use this and would have bought the upgrade if the original product did what it claimed.

Doesn't work

I found this app while searching for an app that used a laser pointer that could also be seen by users online looking at the slides. Everything downloaded fine, but the connector would never find my computer. Initially it didn't have the correct IP address so I entered it manually and it still would not connect.

Pass on this app.

The app will NOT allow to start a video in a slide by tapping, it has to launch automatically, leaving you without any control over it. Try pausing-good luck with that, not possible. Swipe to advance? NO! Must tap on an icon, which is awkward at best when you’re trying to look at your audience. Your slide notes? The app select which part of notes it will display, not necessarily all of them. Have to check whether I paid for the app, would like my money back.

It works!

Took me 3 minutes to set up. Works fine. Two minor improvements would be nice. Better volume control on the clicker (too loud, not adjustable) and button positionable further up in the screen for easier thumb navigation. I would be quite happy with a an option for just two giant arrow keys for forward and back. Otherwise, I love it so far!

I got it to work!

When I first tested on my home network, it worked great! I was impressed by the app's ability to use that drive on my computer to find and launch a PowerPoint straight from my iPhone.A public network was a bit more tricky to connect, but I got it working. First, public networks typically default to making the computer not discoverable to other devices. I switched that off, assuming it would help. Second, I had to manually enter the address and port on the app to make it find the computer. Then it worked!
