Toddler loves it

My toddler loves when we read moonlite stories before bedtime. Once in awhile the app would have issues where the light would keep shutting off (app issue, not my phone/camera light). But it’s generally ok. If you upgrade your iPhone, delete the moonlite app and reinstall it again. It will re-align the projector positioning to your new phone. I had to do the same for my iPhone 12 pro since it wasn’t aligned at first but now it’s fine. There’s some typos that need to be fixed (spaces between letters in words right before the sound effect words) but that’s just a minor compliant. My biggest issue is probably the projector itself as I don’t feel they last long, the foam padding around the lens area of mine is already smushed and distorted and I will need a new one. I feel they could do better for the quality on the projectors at least. But since my toddler enjoys it, I’ll rate this 4/5.

We love it despite the quirks

Yes, we have to align it, yes, it takes two hands at times, and yes it isn’t perfect. My kids love it and so do the older kids in our life. It’s a fun way to turn the lights down and cuddle and read a story together. The kids that are reading age love to use it too. It is a good way to encourage reading and we enjoy making hand puppets and pointing to things on the wall/ceiling. We just adjust to make it work with our story time and night time routine.

What a godsend!!!

I would rate this app and device 100 stars if I could!! Gone are the nights where my 1 year old threw tantrums at night, and I struggled to get him to fall asleep. Now we both enjoy a peaceful bedtime story together and he falls asleep in record time. Between the lights being off, the soothing music from the app, and the fun pictures he can focus on it creates a peaceful environment. I only need to read the story twice and he’s ready to sleep without throwing any tantrums!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for creating this app and device!! You have helped made the evenings better for the both of us!! I cant wait to purchase more story reels! The only suggestion I have is making the clamp on the device tighter. It easily moves when turning the reel.

My son loves this!

He always looks forward to reading the books on the ceiling. It takes some getting used to with putting it on my iPhone X with case, but it works well once you get used to it. My only real gripe is the library is on the small side, but we have definitely got a lot of mileage on the stories we do have. All in all this is a great little product that we use almost every night.

Great customer service

My almost 5-year-old has loved Moonlite stories ever since I introduced them to her a couple years ago. Recently I bought some more stories for her, and the unlock codes weren’t working, so I left a message with customer service through the app. The customer service team replied to me first thing Monday morning asking for more information so they could help me solve the problem. We figured it out and got the stories to unlock, and now my little girl can enjoy her favorite thing again. Another time my projector focus got stuck, and they sent me a new one! Excellent customer service on a really fun product. I’ve recommended to so many friends!

Need more story options

I have similar problems as all the other reviews- it’s difficult to align the projector over the flashlight, the projector moves out of place when I turn the reel, it’s expensive, etc. However, I don’t mind too much because the kids love it! It’s magical reading stories with the lights out and the pictures projected on the ceiling. My only real complaint is that there aren’t more stories to buy! There are only 20 or so story options.

My Daughter Loves

My daughter loves this device! She calls them ceiling stories. I have gotten as gifts for others since it has been such a hit at our house. Just a few issues take away a star. I wish you could choose to turn off the background app music while reading. Also there are weird symbols and spacing issues near the circled parts that you click to make sounds. It makes it difficult to read at times.

Great Addition to the Bedtime Routine

We love our Moonlite! We read stories before bed and also use Moonlite. Our kids love the stories and projections. They also love pressing the sound effect buttons as it brings the stories to life. Also, our experience with customer service has been great. We had a just a small snack in downloading the app, but we got fast replies and help from someone that cared. Great addition to our story time.

Sound doesn’t work but the concept is cute.

The concept is cute and my three year old really likes it. The only thing I find annoying is that the sound doesn’t work. The first time I opened the app it did for a quick second and then shut off. I’ve checked the volume and the settings several times. I’ve even tried reinstalling the app and it still doesn’t work. If this wasn’t an issue I’d probably give it four stars. Five if aligning was easier and the images were clearer.

All issues fixed finally!

There were some issues working with iPhone 11 Pro with the 3 lens camera. Now it works as it should and story time with my grandson is possible again. The projector alignment is not perfect on the phone and can easily go awry but if you’re mindful of that while turning the reel it should help quite a bit. Thankfully I had an old iPhone to use untill the problem was fixed!
