Overall pretty good - Any chance for an update?

So far has been a decent port of Syncthing. Update schedule is a bit slower if you’re waiting for the latest updates. Personally I depend on the “Untrusted Client” feature available in the latest version of Syncthing so I can’t use this fully yet. Any chance of an update soon?Thanks!

Doesn’t work, don’t waste your money.

No matter what I do, when I click “open folder” it won’t take me to the folder I’ve designated for a synced folder. It takes me to the “on my device” folder, and when I manually navigate to the folder I designated, it’s empty. Under the panel in mobius, it claims that my files have been synced. But they’re nowhere to be found in the files app, no matter what I do or where I look. Extremely frustrating. There is no documentation whatsoever on how to properly set up folders, which I have to assume is intentional at this point. Just another iOS app taking your money in exchange for false promises. Extremely frustrating. I’d happily pay $50 for an app that legitimately delivered on the promise of bringing full Syncthing functionality to iOS. But sadly it looks like that will never happen. Unfortunately, I just have to accept that I’m stuck with iCloud Drive as the only working way to sync my files.

Excellent Having Syncthing here

I’ve been hoping for this for awhile and it’s great to see it finally arrive! I look forward to the e2ee later once it becomes more stable. Really appreciate the reasonable price and lack of analytics/trackers.Background sync isn’t the best. Maybe they could use location to trigger sync as well like Nextcloud does for photo/video background syncing.

Excellent but there is a new bug

You now how the ability to have this app sync in the background with the most recent update. Not sure if my previous review was that impactful, but content to see it happen. UPDATE.stfolder cannot be synchronized and is throwing a “name is invalid, must not start with period on iOS” exception. This is standard for all syncthing directories & confirmed on two iOS devices.

Gap in Syncing iOS photos

With google photo backup not being free anymore I was looking for options to sync my iOS photos with a server. In this case it looks like that functionality is not developed yet. Please implement this ASAP! The ability to send my iOS photos/videos to another device/server would be great.

Not Open Source, but Functionally Flawless

Given all the restrictions that iOS puts on alls running in there background I am really impressed that Möbius Sync keeps my files pretty up to date in the background. Integrates with them Files app well too.

Finally!

I have been waiting for a native syncthing client fry iOS since using it as my primary desktop sync tool three years ago. This app works great and while there is some chunkiness to using it iPhone, it’s much better to retain the privacy and security nature of the platform.Developer is fantastic and quickly remedy to bug her reported a week ago.

Worth way more than $5!

I echo the positive comments of the other reviewers: this is an amazing and long-awaited app for iOS. Thanks to the developers for making it available to the iOS platform and to Apple for allowing it on the App Store.The app is worth way more than the cost to unlock unlimited syncing. This app is so important to me that I’d pay a subscription.

Seems very promising

All it needs is photo sync, even one way, and this app would be perfect. Excellent integration of SyncThing, it works flawlessly so far from the first 7 minutes of use. This app really deserves advertising and recognition (that is is SyncThing) and hopefully it continues to get updates.Very good work so far!

Description

Möbius Sync brings Syncthing to your iPhone or iPad, allowing you to synchronize selected files between iOS devices and other devices supported by Syncthing, without the need for any cloud service. Supports multiple folders and multiple remote devices. Synchronized folders can be created either: 1.

in the Möbius Sync sandbox and files can be added to and retrieved from shared folders via the iOS Files app; or 2. (PAID feature) by accessing other apps' sandboxes. This feature is EXPERIMENTAL and may break other app's functionality. Uses the open-source Syncthing engine internally. Usage within the Möbius Sync sandbox is free up to 20MB. Unlimited file sync, including files in other apps' sanboxes is available for a one-time purchase. The functionality unlocked by in-app purchase is identical to that in Möbius Sync Pro (which is purchased up-front).
