Great game but two things that need to be fixed

Like I said this game is great I for sure recommend downloading bu there’s two things that need to be fixed #1 problem trading: this game has trading which not a lot of apps have but the problem is the trading is awful first of all you have to trade 3 players for ONE which is for sure unfair and second of all YOU DONT EVEN GET UPGRADE one time I traded three 90 ovr guys and I got like an 88 overall guy I traded three good players for one player who was even that good for me I defiantly recommend selling your playing on the fa market instead of trading cause you get basically nothing back which brings up the next problem this is the one problem with the fa market which is kinda surprising but here it is why are prime legends so expensive prime legend are arguably the best cards in the game and there’s two ways to buy a prime legend on the fa market you sell one or you sell your whole entire team literally their soooo expensive overall this is a great game for sure worth downloading and if they fix these issues it’s an easy five stars even with these problems I considered it but for sure 9 out of 10 this is arguably the best sports game that I’ve ever have before

Great Game, Some Bugs

This is easily my favorite game on the internet and I have been playing for years. I love that it has allowed us to keep our same team from year to year but update the players to keep it competitive. I also love that you can play other people in live battles in real time without having to wait for them to take turns. It also has the best gameplay around. By making it harder to hit than most apps, especially in the live battles it really captures what baseball is about unlike in some games where you can hit a home run essentially every time. My only problem with the app is that there are some bugs that need to be fixed. For example since the new 2020 update the app has just randomly force closed while I am in the play modes and today it got so bad that I couldn’t even complete the daily missions because it wouldn’t even let me in the play modes. I am not sure if this is a problem with the game, the high traffic from the start of the new season, or heaven forbid something with my phone but it has been extremely annoying and has cost me multiple wins and in game rewards. Another smaller problem that I have with the game is when I receive notifications from my phone such as the battery level the game logs me out of live battle. This also occurs if I try to check the time at the top of my screen. Overall though it is a great game and I hope that you get back to me to help me understand the issues that I have been having.

It’s pretty good

People leave reviews and give it a bad rep just cause of one thing they don’t like. I love road to the show but I’m not constantly at home. So wherever I am, I can play a baseball game that is similar but also different. I love how you can get players from different seasons and teams, legends, all star game cards, signature cards, etc. just in the way of mlb the show. I enjoy the upgrade system and how you can trade players at random, the more you give up the better chance of getting a good player in return. A couple years ago I’d agree that getting really good players was hard but they have quests that give you card packs and guarantied 80+ or above. Best looking baseball game on the App Store hands down feels like mlb the show on mobile. Only problem I have is that live battles or head to head games against other people are kind of broken with the matchmaking. Your team can be just ok and you’ll face a guy with 140+ ovr players. But this doesn’t happen as often as people say it does. This game takes actual skill to be really good at which I’m a big fan of.

Created player “ghost” issues (UPDATED)

Update to my update:As a man of my word, I raised the star value since issues were corrected. My next question is, who does your game matching algorithms? Who ever it is, needs help. I just had a “live battle simulation” game where my opponent had no player less than around 140, while my HIGHEST player is only like 105. What kind of sick individual sets that up?Update: Well, maybe lack thereof. Either nobody is reading these posts, or maybe just don’t care. Yes, I know there is this “horrendous” virus going around, and people are working from home, if able to work at all. Maybe someone could at least acknowledge some of the posts on here, if anything, just to let us know you are working on it? This rating will improve with a really odd glitch. I tried the new “Create A Player” function, added my player to my team (even though he is only a 70 and my lowest batter is mid 90’s.) When I start my time at bat, I all of a sudden have 2 white bats above the inside and outside black of the plate above the strike zone. They proceed to stay there the rest of the game. Then when my player comes to the plate, HE HAS NO BAT OR HANDS!!! I guess a bat wouldn’t do much good if I have no hands. This is the only player that does this. Is there a way to reattach my hands? Not sure team Dr is qualified for this surgery.

100 games on ALLSTAR wasted!

I’ve been playing Live for over a year now. I’ve worked my way up with players and with difficulty. It’s a really entertaining baseball game...probably the best for your phone. BUT...with this new version I’ve already had two things that I’m unhappy about. Number one being in regards to the season I was currently playing on “All-star”. Which is the difficulty above “PRO” that had to be unlocked. I was 100 games into the season! My record was 95-5 and now....I’ve lost everything!!!! I have to start the whole thing over. NOT on “All-star” keep in mind. Due to it now needing to be unlocked AGAIN. 🤦🏻‍♂️SMH. Why couldn’t everything from the previous season transfer over? My user name did...my team did... all my players did... but my season didn’t? That doesn’t make any sense to me and it is very frustrating. The second thing is the fact that since I had to start a whole new season...when I started the season on beginner just to get a feel of the new update.... I decided I wanted to change the difficulty and now it’s making me wait a whole day before I can start another season!? Why? So basically I’m locked out of the game until this 10 hour countdown is done...again why? I’m really wishing this update it let you know.... so I could’ve waited till after my current season was over.

Scam

Every feature in this game is to get you to spend in game currency until you run out and have to buy more will real currency so you can improve after getting screwed on a pack or boost. This game no longer allows you to buy special edition packs with diamonds it only allows you to pay $6.99+ for one player. Real life example of how this game eats up your resources: I wanted to boost my Jacob Degrom the other day, so I gathered the players with values adding up to 500 million (which is generally a lot in this game) and used an A grade boost trainer to get the boost success rate of 70% (Pretty high for a +5 boost). The boost failed and I wasn’t surprised because the boost success rates aren’t real. So then I had to pay 30 diamonds so the card wouldn’t regress a level from its original level because you know just having it stay the same on a failed boost would be too easy 🖕🏻. Then I tried the next day, gathered the cards with sufficient value, used another A grade trainer, and it failed again. I had to pay another 30 diamonds to keep it it’s original level. Then today I used up 300 million worth of players to boost up my arenado and used an a grade trainer to get the boost success rate to 90% and it failed, and this time I didn’t have the diamonds to keep the boost level the same and I lost a point from every attribute on my 3rd basemen. The free agent market has become garbage as well. I highly recommend NOT DOWNLOADING

Amazing but...

Definitely the best game out there for baseball fans, unless you want to play action play that is. Pretty much any time you have a chance at getting the lead, your opponent will whip out a bullpen stacked with pitchers who throw Knuckle curveballs, which are incredibly difficult to hit. This ruins most games and destroyed the player card market as the cost of pitchers with that pitch are way too high. If you think players should just learn to adapt you’d be wrong, the fact that one pitch type can derail the entire game is ridiculous and even though it was improved on, it is still the biggest issue. Another big issue is lag, every time I play action play I get at least one out trying to advance to a base because I’m safe by over a second on my screen, yet the call is out.... Yet another issue with Action play is the matchups. Rarely are they ever fairly even, usually my team or my opponent is one or two full grades over the other and it makes for boring games even if you win it. The worst I’ve ever had was my 88 OVR matched with a 105 OVR... and then when I was 87 OVR and matched with a 66 OVR... the inter-player aspect is just awful. considering when you open the game you hear “Player First, Gong Games” you’d expect the community’s complaint to be acted upon more quickly. Especially when the servers are down for several hours a week as well for “maintenance”.

Good game, but a lot of problems

This is a good game, I’ve been playing it for a few years now, but I’m pretty much at my wits end with this game. I’m an S player,And I’m continually getting matched up with S+ players or better and my ranking has fallen. I just finished playing in A player, and I was beat 5-3, it’s becoming impossible to hit on this game. I can line up a pitch perfectly, I have it on the red circle with a player ranking 125 hit the ball, and it flies out to centerfielder or right field or pops up to the infield. It’s also impossible to rank your players up, and there’s no rhyme or reason as to why a player ranks up or doesn’t rank up. The training is out of whack, you can have a score of 93 for running and 124 powered, and when you do the random training it’ll give you 3 points for power instead of putting those on running. And what’s up with these boost tickets? It doesn’t tell you anywhere how to use them or what they are there for, I have a ton of these boost tickets just sitting in my inventory and have no idea how to use them, nor can I find anywhere that explains what you’re supposed to do with them. I really am fed up with this game, I’m gonna take a few days off from playing this game, and think about deleting this app!

Not good

In the beginning of last year I decided to download this game, it was great as far as graphics go and gameplay (to a certain extent). The game quickly became an app I opened more than any other app until recently. There’s a community of people that are likeminded and want to have a fun baseball game to play which is awesome. Aside from that, the developers of this game and the entire team is complete garbage. They are scammers and will do anything to make money - most of the time or all of the time it makes no sense. Thankfully, I haven’t spent ONE penny on this game simply because of all the other reviews and experiences my fellow “teammates” have encountered. Gamevil lies and Triple Crown is worthless for the community. I hope Gamevil receives their karma very soon because it’s not right - I know people that have spent legit thousands of dollars on this game and got NOTHING in return. Now you may think why would anyone spend so much money? Well, people are simply fooled each and every time by Gamevil. Especially as of today when MLB Perfect Inning is supposed to update to MLB PI 18. The entire community was lied to and none of Gamevil’s team were on the same page. Triple Crown stated things that were completely untrue and he deserves to be fired in my honest opinion along with whoever else has been making decisions. Time to purchase MLB The Show. I hope no one else gets fooled into these scammers. They’re full of it.

This game COULD be amazing if...

This game could be amazing if the developers would fix a few things. Like for instance, I was playing an opponent today who’s overall team rating was CLEARLY better than min, by far. And we were tied 1-1 in the 10th inning. I had a man on 1st and a man on 3rd and only one out. My batter (Acuña Jr.) popped up to the left fielder, at the warning track. So my runner on 3rd tagged up and scored (or so I thought). He clearly beat the throw so the run should have counted. However, when the play was over, it put my runner back on third base and obviously didn’t count the run. And this isn’t the first time this has happened to me. And secondly, there have been multiple times I’ve been playing someone who has a much better team (ratings-wise) and I’d be leading and all of a sudden I get knocked off the game completely. Then I have to wait for the game to load so I can log back into my account and then the game. And my the time I log back in, my opponent has taken advantage of the computer pitching for my team, and he’s scored a few runs. It seems as though the game protects the ones who spend a lot of money on this game so therefore it cheats for those players. I’ve been playing this game for quite a while now, but I’m starting to get to the point to where I just say screw it and never play it again. These issues NEED TO BE FIXED, especially if I’m going to be spending my hard earned money on it. But I’m sure they won’t!
