Used to be a great game

This game used to be fun, you could just let it play in the background or log on after a little bit and make plenty of money to keep upgrading. The baseball has never been great but it’s an idle game so that wasn’t as important to what I was looking for. Since the last update the game has gone to all heck. Everything is capped and you can barely make enough money to do one upgrade. You now have to click to play each game so you cannot just let it play anymore. I emailed the developers and they didn’t even care enough to email back. The way this game is set up now after the update, this game is awful. I was my money back from paying for no ads before it became what it is. Don’t waste your time anymore. AWFUL!!!

Good design (Terrible Gameplay)

I have collected every rare and still I can not make it past amateur league. Every time the team in first place decides to score 5 runs on me and I lose in the last game that would promote me. I have won every other game in the league except for the promotion game. It has become extremely frustrating to watch. Also my base runner will get to 2nd base safely, but will decide to run to third base when the shortstop obviously has the ball, then my base runner is thrown out. One more critique is that no “tagging up” feature has been implemented. I would like to see the user be able to control the runners and fielders actions. Such as putting a button on screen with the choice to advance a base runner or stay put/turn back around. And for fielders, being able to click on the base you want to throw to. It would also be nice to have a pitch selector though it would not be any bit necessary to this particular game.

Needs Better Simulation

I saw this game and thought I would be a fiend for it, and quite frankly I am. The only problem I run into is no matter how great my team is, I can not make it out of the first league because of the stupid errors they made. I have 3 epic players, 1 being a pitcher and yet when a ball is hit to the shortstop everyone watches it roll and the other team manages to get a double off of it, yet when my player hits a simple single into center field to the center fielder, he would try to run and make it a double even though that’s not what I want. On top of that, everything is a force out so as soon as my player rounds first he will be out at second. It needs to be improved a lot.

Fun game but need to fix gameplay

The game is fun enough. I even spent the $6.99 to get rid of ads and I think that was worth it. Where this game falls short is the actual play of the teams. Nothing is done remotely correct. For example, the fielder will field a ball hit to SS and they throw it to the pitcher and then the pitcher throws to first? Outfielder needs two cutoffs? For God’s sakes, the base runners run even when they shouldn’t and are automatically called out before even getting to the next base. even the home team on the scoreboard is on top instead of bottom. So like I said, it’s fun enough but if you’ve ever watched or played baseball, you will get frustrated.

Greatest tycoon game

Below is what I said in the beginning when I first rated this game……… I take all of it back I can’t even get to the local games because I can’t win the stupid tournament I can’t beat a team that has all level 10. When I have to epic and the rest are rare and level 55 or higher are you kidding me? Omg I spent way to much time in this game and will probably uninstall I just play three no hitters in a row and still didn’t win. This game is impossible!This game has an amazing play feature where you can grow your stadium and play the game of baseball. Personally I love this game and play it often I think the fact you can pay to not have to watch ads is amazing. This game is a lot of fun the only thing I have a problem with is when a runner is running to home and my catcher has the ball. If someone is running to second base he will stand on the plate and right before the runner gets there, he will throw the ball to second base rather than get the out at home. Giving the other team the run every time. Outside of that small factor this game is fun and I don’t feel like I’m wasting my time playing it keep up the good work!

TOP Tycoon game but…

This game is tons of fun to start with. The team dynamic where you can level the players up and upgrade your stadium is exactly what I love out of a tycoon game. Along with the expected features of a tycoon game, this app goes above and beyond by actually simulating a baseball game inside the tycoon experience with unique actions every hit depending on player levels. My only complaint with the app (probably cuz I’m a baseball player myself so I’m too picky) is a lot of the runners on my team don’t know when to stop running. There are times they beat out a nice ball to 1st base, but if the ball dribbles a centimeter over the foul line they try to swipe second base only to meet a dismal end. Same with balls that dribble right in front or behind second base. This really being my only complaint, albeit a frustrating one, displays why this game is so highly rated, and with a quick fix in the game play mechanics this game as said in other reviews, could be a top game in the App Store.

Don’t get if you know anything about baseball.

This game created its own baseball rules. For example: Pitcher almost always fields a ball in the infield, the shortstop immediately runs to cover second as soon as the ball is hit. The fielders run back to their positions before throwing the ball, even the outfielders so if it’s a ball to the fence it’ll take so much longer to get in than it should. Fielders CONSTANTLY throw the ball around and miss throws and hits directly to them. The pitcher will often act as a cut off in the infield?? So for example a ground ball to third base he will throw it to the pitcher then first base. Now on offense, the runners don’t know when to stop running. It’ll be a solid base hit to an outfielder and on the throw in they’ll attempt to run to second only to be thrown out by 60 feet. Also, every single play is a force out no matter where the runners are. No fielders have to tag the runner even with no one forcing them to the base. Decent idle game but don’t call it baseball because any baseball players going to want to gouge their eyes out watching them play. It’s more like t ball.

Misses the mark

Everything besides the game simulation is pretty good. Watching the simulated game about gave me a hernia. If the developers could fix the simulation I’d probably change my review to 5 stars. Example: the batter hits a ball to the right field wall and is halfway to second by the time the right fielder gets to it. The right fielder picks up the ball, runs 20 feet towards the infield and throws the ball to... the center fielder. Now the runner is on his way to third, so naturally the center fielder throws to ball to... left field???? Seeing this, the runner decides to head home to attempt an inside the park home run. The left fielder eyes him down, ready to throw the ball harder than he ever has before.... to second base 😑 but the stupidity didn’t end there, because he overthrew the second baseman by a mile, and the right fielder had to back him up. So the play that took about a full minute real time ended up with the right fielder holding the ball about 80 feet closer than when he first picked it up. I can understand the AI making some less than intuitive throws or running mistakes, but come on. Hand held games before the iPhone existed had better AI than this

I really wanted to love it

I am a huge baseball fan and a big fan of tycoon games…so I though this might be the perfect game. But it falls short on all aspects. The baseball simulation is missing may rules and basics of baseball. The runners will keep on running on occasions and run you out of a game. A ground rule double turns into a regular ball rolling down the street and the fielders will go after it…outside the fence. Just a poor simulation in my opinion. But it was a pretty fun idle game…so all of that didn’t matter. With this last update, the money made while idle was cut to a fraction of the previous version. So now it doesn’t even work as an idle game and forces you to watch the really bad baseball game to make any progress. The leagues idea is great, but the baseball needs to be better or make it a better idle game. But it can’t be bad at both to keep players around. I paid for the ad free version, but now it will be going on the archive. Just a bit disappointed.

Great Game! But one flaw

Have really enjoyed this game and it’s very addicting. I enjoy the player development system a lot and just the stadium itself is extremely well built. but there’s one thing that I’d like to be improved and that’s the individual seat prices. It just seems kind of unrealistic to make individual seats cost as much as they do with so many to buy. Seats should cost more than players or stands or vendors or really anything. They are the least important part of the game and make you vary little value but yet you're gonna have to pay an insane amount of money to get all the individual seats. It just feels literally impossible to get all the seats, like I’m cool with spending a couple million on a player or a stadium expansion, or a shop, or even to help train the players. But for a single seat?? It just seems so worthless when it adds very little value to the game other than It looks better to not have an empty stadium. Thanks for this good game overall though
