Bring back the old app.

Not working like it use to. Don’t like this update. Use to work great- now not giving any information until reported outage, and then later doesn’t give any information even once reported. Very glitchy. Bring back the old app.

It is literally just the webpage in an App.. but I like where it could head.

You open the app, click my account and it launches a safari browser within the app to the MNP login page. It does seem to be more mobile user friendly but this isn’t really an app, more of a shortcut to a user friendly webpage. It may keep you signed in which is another benefit? Nothing superb but nothing terrible about the ‘app’

It is a website, not an app

For all intents and purposes, this isn’t a native app but a website in an app wrapper, which is never a good recipe for an app.The app gets 1 star for existing, and a second star for retrieving information from my MNPower account, but there are so many usability issues that I can’t give it any additional stars.

Description

The Minnesota Power app offers users a quick, easy way to check on the status of power outages in their area, learn when their power will be restored or to report an outage. The app also links users to Minnesota Power’s MyAccount web page where they can view and pay their bill, monitor their electricity use, learn about energy-efficiency rebates and other offers, and more. Features: • Outage map displays area affected, number of customers affected, estimated time of power restoration and the possible cause of outages.

Customers also can report an outage in their area. • Through the MyAccount link, customers can pay their bill, check on their energy use, view rebates and other offers, get energy-saving tips, find energy-assistance programs and more. • The contact page includes phone numbers, links to Minnesota Power social media pages (another great way to keep up to date on outages), a link to Minnesota Power’s outage and public safety web page, and a handy flashlight button that will turn your cellphone’s flashlight on if you are caught in the dark.
