Great app

This app is just what I was looking for. I’m an amateur astronomer, and this app keeps me up to date on the weather. The satellite map shows me the cloud cover and the direction the clouds are moving. I have to travel many miles to a dark location, and this app has saved me wasted trips being able to see what and where the clouds are. Also the general daily weather information is very useful and accurate. There’s a lot of information packed into this app. I highly recommend this app.

Almost perfect

Overall, the app is quite good. Very detailed weather information, the maps are super fun and there’s a ton of them. I spend way too much time browsing them. I have two suggestions: one is a bug fix, the other is a feature. The bug is that on my device, when looking at the detailed/hourly forecast and I swipe two days forward or backward, the app stretches beyond the width of the screen. This means that I can’t see the temperature or time (left side) or full rain spot (right side). The suggestion that I have is to include weather/storm warnings somewhere. In the app you can see that there’s going to be high winds or ice precipitation, but having the NWS warning/alert in addition would be very nice.

Latest update causes problems

I really like the way that this app presents all of the information in a concise manner. However, it frustrates me greatly that I have to restore my purchase every time I want to use the app. Furthermore, the widgets no longer function properly. I have tried multiple times to uninstall and reinstall the app and the widgets. Both install just fine on my 13 pro max. However, I continue to get the same error.

Best for outdoors activities

Of the many weather apps, this is the best I found for remote areas and outdoors activity. Accurate predictions in the Alps in Europe, the Carpathian range in Romania, etc. Most weather apps only cover big cities, and don’t have parks, mountains and small villages. Here you have almost any geographic point you can name. Presentation is also quite clear and convenient - highly recommended for hiking, biking, etc.

Best weather website

I have bookmarked many weather websites as I am always fascinated by the weather. Metroblue has so much information available from all the major weather models to historical data to links to local webcams to name a few. Plus it gives forecasts for very specific areas. If you live in Centennial Wyoming your weather is vastly different from Laramie and that’s what they offer.

Problem w Ads

This app had always been great, until it started glitching with ads as a paid subscriber. I emailed the app support team about it, and they apologized and told me to delete and re-download the app. I did and that solved the problem for a short while, but not permanently. Months later, I tried again and still it is showing ads despite continuously being a paid subscriber. I deleted and downloaded the app yet again, and this time it’s made no difference. Please fix this problem, Meteoblue.

A lot of data but all in SI format

I like the app and the data it has, but everything is presented in C, km/h, and mm. Useless in the US because it doesn’t allow me to change the data format. You can do it on their web, but not in the app, at least not in the free version.Update: I received a response from the app developer regarding my previous review. I can change the units now and see data in preferred format.

Geek Weather

This is BY FAR the most accurate forecast for my location vs the five other popular apps I compared it to. So much info, so many data points, and a lot of features that are unique. If you have one weather that is NOT the. Built-in Apple option, this should be your choice.

Now the best general weather app I can find

Now that WU has released a downgrade of an “upgraded”, I was looking for something that would fill its shoes. Meteoblue seems to be it.I have lots of weather apps—as both a commuter with long walks, and an amateur astronomer who needs to plan observation nights, I care a lot about the weather.Meteoblue has easy at-a-glance access information, nice dense charts of wether data (that can be saved to look at when at a remote site), and a something that is crucial for my commutes: a status screen widget (if you pay the low advert removal subscription price).I do have a few feature requests: (1) It’d be lovely to see what the widget looks like before paying the subscription so that I can tell if it presents useful information before spending money, and (2) your online website has a great forecast for astronomers that would be brilliant to include as a tab in this app.

Attractive UI but poor accuracy

The interface and design of this app are lovely and well thought out--but sadly it is fairly consistently wrong for my area (SF Bay Area). I wish it were more accurate, because I prefer its UI to my other 2 weather apps--but a handsome UI can't compensate for poor forecasts (often even the *current* weather is off! Eg It will say partly sunny when it's been 100% overcast all day)I'll continue to subscribe in hopes that the model will improve for my area since it's a nominal fee...but based on past performance I'm not holding my breath. Happy it works well for so many others--just wish it worked for me!
