Never lose anything again!

I have had a MediaFire account for many years now. And I still have all kinds of files that I have kept. I know that it’s always there. And I always know that it’s secure. Now with this new app I can automatically upload everything from my iPhone. I collect a lot of videos, pictures, and animated gifs. And I create a lot of my own as well. This is such a wonderful app with a much greater storage capacity than so many others. And it’s not buggy either. It’s there and it’s solid and fast. 😊

Broken and limited

Won’t offer any share options other than copying the link, or saving the image (that I just uploaded). Freezes constantly, requiring a force quit. Images typically “fail” to upload, but still show up in the folder just the same. Added folders sometimes just don’t show up in the app, but do when viewed in a browser. I’d give it a 1 star, but it does technically work on a very limited/crippled level, which at least allows me to (somewhat) easily get large files from my phone to a desktop without a cable or setting up idiotic iTunes syncing on every computer I use.

Apps needs the option to share files from other apps

I simply love the simplicity and intuitiveness of the MediaFire app on iOS but one feature that is seriously lacking is the ability to share files and content from other apps to the MediaFire app. I have to go to other apps like google drive and Dropbox for this functionality. I am stuck with being able to upload only pictures and videos from my camera roll.

MediaFire owns my videos

I only have videos on this app so I can't speak for photos, games, documents, or music. I have too many photo and video apps and wanted to condense them to one app but I am not able get my videos from MediaFire to download back to my phone. The only thing it will let you do is download the link so that you can view your videos on MediaFire. This is BS, they are my videos and I should be able to get them back on my phone and not just the link to view them on their app! So I have personal videos of my children and my pets that I can't get back now and I deeply regret using this app to store them there. I wrote to the company to see if there was any way for me to get my videos to upload back to my phone and I heard nothing back from them. Crap app, crap customer service!

Uhhh... ok?

Im stumped. I cannot find this app in the App Store (iOS), and when i click on the link from the website i get an alert saying "This app is not currently available in your country or region". The only way i was able to write this review was by finding and tapping the app in my purchase history which took me to the App Store Page.Ok so thats cool and all but when i Air Drop it or send the link to someone else they get the previously mentioned alert. I looked on the Play Store, on the MediaFire website & googled it, and couldn't find anything about it being unavailable for iOS, which I'm assuming would be something the developers would address.Anyone else experience these issues

Apple TV app is total garbage

I had been looking for a cloud service that has an Apple TV app in order to access media files on the TV and it looks like MediaFire is the only one that does. But the app is completely useless. If you open any photo file, the app freezes and you cannot even get back to the previous menu or folder. Even if you close the app and come back to it, it’s still stuck on that photo, so it requires a restart of the Apple TV in order to get back to the main menu! But actually it gets even worse. I deleted a few photos and renamed a video, all in the iPhone MediaFire app. When I then tried to use the Apple TV app again, it just crashed. I then deleted the app, re-downloaded it and logged in again - and same result: it instantly crashed. So now it is •literally• useless. I’ve used Mega, Dropbox, Google Drive, Yandex, and PCloud and they are all, needless to say, vastly better than this utter junk app. I just wish one of them had an Apple TV version of their app.

Several issues to point out...

Cons: Not all image/video previews are visible within the app compared to Dropbox. Also, when uploading, the status count of uploads does not change until the very end. It will say failed and offer the option to “Retry,” which it will just speed through them all quickly - indicating they are all actually uploaded already. Another thing I’ve noticed is if I create a folder it will not appear sometimes, so I’ll create multiples and then they will appear randomly after a refresh and I delete duplicates. Pros: Free 50GB of storage for new users compared to much lower storage space offered by other top competitors.

Five Stars! Did exactly what I needed!

I needed an alternative to Google Drive to share/transfer/store data. I HATE google and try to avoid their products whenever possible. I needed to get all the files off my smartphone and onto my PC. MediaFire allowed me to transfer all files off my iPhone and onto their server, and easily download them all to my PC. I’m SO happy. I’m loving this service’s options and flexibility. Well done team!

A completely broken app and they don’t care

The app is completely broken. You can’t download literally any of your own files from the app. The also horrible news is you can’t do it from the website either. It says download failed, please try again later and it’s said this for weeks. I emailed them almost two weeks ago and no response. I’m really upset that I can’t even get access to my own photos and videos and they totally don’t care at all. PLEASE HELPUPDATE: Sent them a second email a week ago and no reply to that either.

One of my favorites

I've been using this app for more than 10 years when most other well-known and now popular similar apps did not even exist. And for free! Most of my important documents, almost all of my phone pictures are securely stored in MediaFire. I still have plenty of storage room. They never changed policy to say, "Now you have to start paying, or..." Keep up the good work.
