Excellent and inexpensive

It really does a great job of creating a training schedule that is working as I’m training for my first ever half marathon. The trainer responds fairly quickly when you need it. The articles aren’t extremely helpful and I wish they would touch on nutrition, but for training purposes it’s perfect for me! The only annoying feature is that there is a finesse to how you change a workout day or change a length otherwise it adjusts your whole routine and at the wrong acceleration, but I’m learning how to avoid this!

App and Website Completely Broken

I’ve used this app off and on for years for training, but in the past few days the app and website seem to have been hacked or are completely broken. The app can’t save or sync runs appropriately anymore. And when I cleared the cache to try to help, a whole host of other issues appeared. You can’t log in with either Facebook (as it reports an error saying the app is not active) or the website (as it not only no longer has a valid certificate to ensure website security, but the website itself is very broken, with most links and buttons not working). This is extremely concerning from a security and privacy standpoint as a user.

Goodbye Gipis, hello Sport Me

I had loved the GIPIS running app and then it was gone. I’m still not sure why they stopped. Needless to say I have been searching for another app with the same interval smarts as Gipis and nothing seemed to compare. I tried Runkeeper, Strava and they all fell short. Enter Sport Me! Although I wish they provided target paces for interval runs so I’d know if I was on track to meet my goal pace there are so many aspects that make up for that. First of all, it’s incredibly user friendly. Secondly, I love the variety of runs they provide and last but not least the real life coach feedback is a game changer! Their response rate is phenomenal too. They (Michael) got back to me within 24 hours! It’s nice to know if you have a question along the way they’re right there!GIPIS was free which may have been part of the reason it didn’t last. Nevertheless, I was hesitant to pay so much for this app so I opted for the 6 month plan to save some money and it is worth every penny! No doubt!Thank you Sport Me and your fabulous team! Please don’t go anywhere!!!

Keeps me Focused on my Goals

Running a marathon has always been on my bucket list but I’ve had a difficult time sustaining a regular training. I get bored running long distances and loose interest easily. I started training for 10k on SportMe app three months ago and I am absolutely thrilled by how much fun it has been!I especially love the customized training program feature; it makes training more meaningful as each program focuses on strengthening one area, such as physical stamina or mental focus e.t.c. The break-downs make training highly satisfying and less overwhelming. Now I achieve incremental goals easily on weekly basis!I never knew running can be so interesting. Now I look forward to my training days and I can’t wait to earn my next Milestone. SportMe has made running so much more fun and rewarding. Thank you!Needless to say I highly recommend it to all runners ❤️

Marathon Matt sold it to me.

This app is great. At first, I was a little reluctant to spend the $10 a month subscription fee for something that seemed no different than other customizable running plans I’d seen online. All of my reservations went out the window when I utilized the “Marathon Matt” function. I asked “Matt” a question regarding training not expecting much more than an automatic robotic response. What I got was a well thought out, conversational, HELPFUL answer within the day. Now I use Matt regularly and each time his answers are informative and helpful. I don’t know if Matt is one dude who spends a lot of time being helpful online, or if there’s a team of “Matt’s” who are there to answer your questions. But either way- I’m sold.

Super customizable ❤️

I did something stupid and signed up for a 10K only 3 weeks away, and I haven’t run since July. I scoured the App Store for an app that had a short term 10K trainer and couldn’t find anything. They’re all at LEAST 4 weeks+, most are at least 13 weeks. This app actually allowed me to schedule 3 weeks for my training program, because it asks the date that your event is. I love that! It also gives great details about your run, lets you know your split times for each mile while you’re running, and tracks your route. My favorite running app in the App Store right now. I would say it’s mostly worth the $8/month.The thing that actually bothers me the most is that it makes me sign in almost every single time. That wouldn’t be a big deal, except that when I’m about to start a run, I don’t want to spend 3 minutes outside in the cold walking down the street trying to prep the app. I find that quite annoying. Also, just tested the Siri capabilities, just out of curiosity. It’s a little slow (though that’s Siri’s fault, not SportMe) but if you say “Hey Siri, start a run,” she brings up the app and the run starts without you having to click anything else so that’s super handy. It doesn’t seem to always work though. Again, I blame Siri mostly.

Finally a training plan that adapts to you!

I’ve been wanting to run a marathon for quite some time now, but I didn’t even know where to begin. I searched on the internet for training plans, but all I found were general PDFs, that I had to find a way to somehow modify to fit my skill level and schedule. I’m so happy that I found Sportme! Sportme adapts to you, rather than you having to adapt to someone else’s training plan. It customizes a plan based on your skill level, schedule and race date. The app even has an autoupdate feature that will adjust your plan, based on if you run more or less than your goal that day. The trainers are also very responsive and helpful when you send them messages. Love this app, highly recommend!

Great interactive program!

I found this app by accident after my “Virtual Run Coach” app disappeared. I was skeptical but decided to go ahead and pay for one race training cycle. I was pleasantly surprised that you can actually text questions or ask for workout clarification, and get a personal response and explanation from a coach. I definitely recommend this app to runners wanting to increase distance and/or speed, or even newbies who want to complete their first race. Really great program!

Running again

When I began running there were no apps. I had to plan my runs on the computer and I had a tracker I tied in my shoe to connect to my iPod. I researched running apps most have a lot of stuff I didn’t need but SportMe was the one that worked best for me. I love the plan it laid out for me. I love I can listen to my music. I love the prompts it gives (it works really well if you trust it and stop looking at your phone 100 times to see if it’s keeping track.) I had an issue with the music not playing while the app was running. I emailed Michael and let him know and he got back to me in a very timely manner and I fixed the issue and was back enjoying my run in no time. Customer service to me is very, very, very important and you will get that with this app.

Trained and ready to go...

I made a commitment to run my first half marathon. I didn’t know how to train myself to do so. The app gave me direction, and guided my training process. It is valuable to be able to communicate with Marathon Matt during the process, his knowledge and insight were very helpful. The problems I’ve had... using the app and my music stream simultaneously, the music will occasionally cut off. A few times, during runs, the app would unknowingly pause. My race was postponed tho I continued to train. Thus I’m running my half this wknd, alone. I appreciate having the app to accomplish this goal.
