Advanced Korean Learner, and I’d recommend this too

I never write reviews, but I’m taking the time to write this and say, “if you want a quality app to help aid in learning Korean, this is it.”I went through a few of the lessons just to gauge how lessons are taught, what the structure of the app itself is like, and I honestly was more than pleasantly surprised. My only gripe is the ads sometimes feel like a lot as you will sometimes exit a lesson you missed clicked on and immediately be presented with a short ad. Other than that this is a great app! I look forward to seeing if the quality continues for later lessons as well.

Greattttt!!!!

This is by far one of the best apps, I have for Korean that is :] It teaches you Korean the traditional way, so pretty much you learn the grammar points and vocabulary as you continue on! Although putting that aside, a great point that I find is that, your data cross migrates. Ex: I have a Samsung phone but an Apple tablet but I can still access all my data from either device when I move forward :3

I love it

I always go for apps that have to most reviews, however I decided to try this app out anyway. I AM SO GLAD I DID! I love this app it is better than some of that language apps you have to pay for. It’s easy to follow and understand. I highly recommend this app to anyone learning Korean.

Issues with sound

I like that Lingory taught a small selection of vocabulary and a small grammar lesson each day. I like that there was a separate section to learn additional vocabulary and verbs. I thought it was an interesting detail that the word-building activities pronounced the batchim differently before and after the word was built, but I’m not sure how batchim rules were taught because I placed I to level 95 or so. It’s also ad-supported and I appreciated that the ads weren’t super long.However, I had problems with the app audio sounding muffled from the first time I downloaded it. Within the same lesson some words/sentences would play clearly from the bottom speaker (the one that is activated while on speaker phone), while many others would only play from the speaker used when you’re actually having a phone conversation. I messaged Lingory about it many times and, ultimately, all they told me was to clear my cached data in the app (I did that and nothing improved) and that my phone was messed up (while not asking me about what kind of phone or OS it was running to see if it was something occurring across platforms or what) so there was nothing they could do. My phone is pretty new, undamaged, and has had no issues with the sound on any other app—before, during or after the time I was using the Lingory app. Since they couldn’t help me I deleted it. So, I hope the sound works for you, but, if not, I don’t know how well they’ll be able to help you.

Best apps for Korean learner.

The best app every since I’ve studied Korean. Seriously guys, GIVE IT A TRY. I’ve never deleted it from my phone like other language apps even tho I’ve tried many just to study Korean and I deleted most of them. I love how they separate the lessons by days and the amount of information for each day is very suitable. You can do more than 1 lesson for a day. But I do 1 everyday base of their day counting so I can review more on what I’ve learnt. The lessons are very useful and realistic. The reading voice are very professional, not too easy and not too hard to follow. Their lesson plans are very well built. Thanks to whoever is working for this app. It is very useful for me and you guys are doing awesome. I hope there will many more people know about the app in the future.

great app, excited for more lessons :)

This app is nice, the ads aren’t incredibly intrusive, and the pacing of the lessons works perfectly for me! out of the existing 120 lessons, i’ve worked through 105 of them so far and i can’t wait for more to be released :) the sentences are read by a person and not a robot, which is really nice. you get a few vocab words each Day, and each Day has a grammar point. it’s awesome that the big important parts of the app are free! i really like that!

I’m a complete beginner and I love it

I just started learning Korean in the last few days an I’ve been struggling to learn the alphabet. I was studying on other language apps and they weren’t explaining everything I wanted them too. I love the UI and videos on Lingory and they make me feel like I really understand it. I would definitely recommend this app.

Amazing and Useful

I got an ad for this app while using tandem and got intrigued. Seriously i'm so impressed by this app because so much is offered for free. There are ads but the ads are worth it because you can learn so much for no price at all. Give it a try it's so good!

Great app but the sound needs to be fixed

I really love this app and it is by far the best app for Korean learners. The only complaint I have is when I am using the app. The sound will becomes very low after the ads. Then when you have to record your voice for the pronunciation part of the lesson. That is when the sound will go back to normal. Despite the sound issue, this app still deserves 5 stars.

Was 5 star until the recent update.

The ads straight up break the app. If you mute the ads it will also make the Korean audio super quiet requiring a restart. And the typing is slowed down a lot with the recent update. For example if I want to type 있어요, it makes me type 있 space 서 space 요. Which takes so much longer. Sometimes it lets me type it all in one go, it depends on the word blocks given I suspect. Also very frequently the app is broken when a white overlay appears and there is no way to close it besides restarting the app. This happens almost every lesson. And finally, I paid for the premium pass to get rid of ads and I was enjoying it. Recently however my premium features are gone and the ads are back while I am still paying! This is by far the best Korean learning app BEFORE the recent update. Right now it is nearly unusable.
