Best timer app

I tried just about every d*mn timer app in the store. This is the ONLY one that lets you know your set or session is up with muted, unobtrusive sounds that only play ONCE. And offers lots of customization for when the sounds play. Maybe it's my sensory processing issues but loud jarring sounds put me in a TERRIBLE mood that makes doing my stretches orany other activity I want to time very unappealing, and having to find a button to turn an endlessly repeating sound off at t he end of every set is anxiety-inducing. Thank you for this simple, functional timer that is actually PLEASANT to use!

Exactly what I need with one minor bug

I‘m using the Pro version as part of a free trial because I really wanted to try the custom timers. After setting up a HIIT workout with a bunch of named exercises, I found the flexibility of the timers to be perfect for my workout. Unfortunately, I have a few exercises where I need to switch from left to right halfway through, and the halfway beep sound doesn’t appear to work. Other than this one issue, this app is exactly what I was looking for. The customizable sounds help distinguish between different parts of the workout, even with music playing. The colors are easy on the eyes and the overall design is very clean and intuitive. I’ve tried a bunch of other workout/interval timer apps and this is the best by far.

Great App!

This app has been perfect for my at-home workouts. My only suggestion is for them to allow you to reset the number of total intervals you have done p/workout. For instance, I currently am doing a HIIT workout that includes 5 moves, done for 45 seconds on with 30 seconds rest between. When I finish, it’s telling me my accumulated intervals from the very first workout I ever did with the app, rather than just the 5 rounds I’m trying to keep track of this one day. An additional option of adding how many rounds p/workout would be dope!

Temperamental and manipulative, but does the job

I was super excited about this app at first, but over time it started fighting with my music so much that they would cancel each other out. Happens one day, fine the next. I haven’t figured out the trigger yet. Also, I do not appreciate the five second delay on the x to get rid of the Pop-up asking me to upgrade, which makes me believe the free version is no longer available to me. I am against paying for an upgrade, but I am very against being misled. Now that I know this, I just wait a few seconds, and have started playing music on a different device to avoid music cutting out mid-workout.

Awesome timer and great tech support

I had been trying different timers and I really liked this one because you can do a 16 minute routine with 4 sub routines within it (basically, it beeps you every 4 minutes). Well, at least that’s my timer routine so I bought the lifetime membership and it was great. But something happened a month or so later and it started showing me the nag screen (the one that offers you different rates). So that got old fast. So I wrote up a support question. *Bert* immediately emailed back (well, at least within 48 hours) and, I’m not gonna lie. It took some time but, after a few weeks, they were able to come out with a (literally) bug-free version. Yay Bert and the awesome developers of this app!! My thanks guys. ~ Joey

5 star app with one annoying quirk

Edit: TOGGLING THE NOTIFICATIONS WORKED! Raising my score back to 5 stars where it deserves to be. Thank you!Original review: I’m dealing with an injury so my workout routine is on hiatus for a few weeks. Despite this, every morning at 8AM I get a reminder on my phone encouraging me to workout. Some months ago it felt like it knew my routine and would ask me to workout if I missed a specific time, but now it’s everyday without fail. The worst part is I can’t find a way to turn it off without risking losing the background notifications if I switch apps to adjust music. I’ve been using it for a year and hope to continue using it but the constant nagging to workout during my time off is killing me.

Very good, a few flaws

I purchased this app to support my home physical therapy program. From my PT point of view, there are 2 flaws: #1. Many PT exercises require less than the current minimum of 5 seconds of " work" and "rest". For example, supine hip abductions require me to hold for 2 seconds (work), then 1 second of rest, repeating 30 times. So, it would be helpful to include 0:01, 0:02, 0:03; and 0:04 in the Work and Rest sliders. #2. The app could be more helpful if users like me could "drag and drop" to change the order that the workouts are displayed, to coincide with the order the exercises should be performed. #. With these enhancements, my rating would be 5 stars.

Seems simple which is good

I’d love some moreCustomization of this sounds, and for the free version I would like to have maybe three timers or so. Then you’d be able to put it through its paces before deciding whether you want to sign up for a subscription. Otherwise there’s a lot of interaction with the app itself. In the workout calendar, it should show also whatever the title you’ve named the timer, not just how long the work and break periods were, and how many reps - include the name we gave it.The rest periods should not jump from 5 seconds to 10 seconds. Allow us to choose in there.

Feature needed

It would be very helpful if you could add a choice for making a new timer the ability to copy one of the old ones. Having to always start from scratch when creating a timer is tiring. It would be better if I could just take an old one and modify it. A second more advanced feature. Allow the user to create a library of exercises that we can pull individual exercises into a timer. We often have our favorite exercises and if we could just build them in one place and then later pull them into a new timer that would be useful

Crucial missing feature - now added by dev!

Raising my rating from 3 to 5 stars. The update you just released addresses my concerns completely. Specifically, the new ‘Countdown Beep’ is much more pleasant to hear and fits well with the start and rest sounds. The other sound options are a great plus too. Thank you for taking my review into consideration and coming out with an update so quickly. I’ve purchased the premium and am using it with my home workouts going forward. Thanks again, and good work. [Old review - no longer relevant...]I want to rate this higher, because it more or less provides what I’m looking for. However, a fatal flaw is a complete lack of customization for the sounds. The countdown “bell” ... [redacting the rest of this old review since dev released update]
