Good game, UI needs help

The game itself I like, but the interface on my device (an iPhone) is incredibly difficult to use. Everything is so tiny, I can’t read hardly any of the text or decipher what a particular button does, and when I try to press one button, a different one gets triggered because they’re about 2mm wide, making it very difficult to do anything with precision. Also, when attempting to scroll through FAQ’s and info, it jumps in whatever direction I scroll all the way to the end the moment I lift my finger, meaning I can only read the very beginning and the very end of any important info.

Idle tapper that penalizes you for restarting??

It’s a great/fun game that behaves like a normal idle incrementing game as long as you stay within a campaign (a set number of quests/missions). As you complete missions, your gold find boost increases and things move at a good pace. After you run out of missions in the campaign (you can only some, since the offerings come in only 3 varieties: easy/fair/deadly) you have to move on to a different campaign, but guess what, the gold boost you’ve been working on doesn’t apply to that new campaign, so basically you’re forced to start over, other than keeping your gear, which is quite frankly pretty useless all things considering and in comparison to the gold boost.Would’ve been a 5 star game, that I was actually getting ready to help support with some purchases before realizing this stupid mechanic.

Possible my favorite idle/incremental game

I am a big fan. I am not a D&D person and I only really know Baldur’s Gate characters, but this is a fun idle game. I have played from the beginning on PC and recently started it on an iPad. I haven’t played on phone as this is a game where you really need to leave the device running for hours. You can brute force your way through the game by playing non-stop, but some levels will require strategic positions and interactive play. You can also use interactive play to push ahead more levels, which helps increase your power for future runs. Since I rushed through narrative on PC, I decide I would read all the story dialogue on iOS. It is mildly entertaining, but I’m not sure how much value it is adding to my experience.

Great game, just still too many bugs.

This game is great, except there’s a few bugs at the moment. Minor Bugs: Using the level up until next upgrade button sometimes will level up tapping levels negatively 100 levels. Had a bug where Bruenor was buffing champions even when he was not in the same column somehow.Major Bugs: Bruenor sometimes goes back to level 0 and then leveling him up grants you two Bruenors.Game overheats my iPad sometimes, wish there were lower quality settings. Lots of crashes all the time. Happens at the end of levels, as well as completing adventures. Only lost progress once though, most of the time the progress is still saved even after crashes. Overall good game, but the crashes happen all the time, and it gets annoying after a while. The overheating is also a problem, but hopefully there could be lower settings in the future which would solve this issue. Lastly, it would be nice to get some codes for the mobile versions as well! And I suggest adding some mobile only gifts to all players to encourage the launch of the new app, those are always great!I wish steam could sync to the mobile version, but hopefully that could be added in the future, for now, it’s not a problem.

Fun BUT.....

I have been enjoying the gave for a couple of months now, and even spent a couple of bucks on it, but there are some major issues. Right now I ham sitting at 4.55 mil.% gold find and when I turn the game off I come back to very little gold found. I just left it for 17 hours and came back to about 15 minutes worth of gold, which is making it very hard to progress and is completely unacceptable. This is the kind of game I love to play and I am a huge D&D fan, and I wouldn’t mind spending money on this game if you could actually get a benefit from the items you purchase. As it is now, I am getting nothing from the money spent. I hope things will be fixed soon.

Great game/ other reviews misleading

I’ve played a ton of incremental games, this is the only one that has continued to keep me hooked. For the ones are saying it’s to grinding, they arn’t playing the incremental correctly. It will NEVER take you 3 months to get 30 levels on a mission. You are suppose to reset, take your rewards, make upgrades where necessary then push your wall when you’re prepared. For the others saying you have to completely start over on a new region. That isn’t accurate either. Each region has its on deity that different heroes worship. Heroes that you got in region one, will keep all their favor upgrades as well as items.

Not a bad way to kill time, and also goblins

Got it as a way to burn off some manic energy during my new life of constant zoom meetings, and found a pleasant little game. I wish there were more opportunities to unlock champions rather than paying for them, but as a free to play with in game purchases—it’s pretty dang good. The formation placement was a nice touch, something I didn’t get until I was carelessly taping around by my champions and moved one by another and saw the dps meter skyrocket. If you’ve got time to idle away, this game is for you.

Absolute Garbage

At first, this game was decent - the early campaigns are fun and I didn’t mind starting over with new champs every mission considering the items you bought from previous campaigns applied and the game holds true to the D&D Forgotten Realms lore which is fun from a story RPG perspective. Why I just deleted this game and will NEVER play it again. I tried one of the missions that supposedly takes your heroes up to Level 150. Well once you hit about Level 90 - the gold drops on the monsters are so horrific compared to the cost of leveling your heroes that the grind just makes this game absolute garbage. I literally have been on the same mission for over 3 months and moved from Level 90 to Level 116. I’m done - no one wants to play a game this boring with zero hope of progression not like classic D&D at all... I feel sorry for people who wasted money on this game. Delete it and move on - there are tons of better games for iPhone and iPad out there.

Nostalgia

First off the game is entertaining and pulls hard at my heartstrings for the love I have of these characters. The reason I give it 2 stars is because I play from an iPhone. Now I have the Xs Max and with most games there is plenty of real estate to utilize there however this is very much so designed and developed for an iPad. Trying to play on an iPhone is one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done on this phone, 99% of the time I don’t hit the correct button when I’m trying to open a menu. It took me 5 minutes just to get my date of birth entered on the screen because the scrolling is insane and tried to make me 94 years old each time I went to enter it. Formations don’t want to be entered and the sound can’t be turned down via the slider all because of the very small UI on the iPhone. If the UI could be adjusted for the screen real estate that the iPhone uses then this app would be a solid 4 stars for me. I love these characters and love this company but man they make it hard to love this game on iPhone.

How did I not find this 3 years ago

I love idol games, I love D&D, this game seems hidden in the App Store. This game has new content/characters every three weeks. If you start today, you can obtain plenty of characters within a month or two without paying any real money. It has a huge fan base that’s super helpful, and devs that are committed to fixing bugs. Lots of nostalgia for fans of the genre; they added Melf not to long ago. My biggest knock on this game is the print is so small it’s difficult to read, and the individual buttons are small and close so it’s sometimes hard to tap the correct one (it’s clearly designed for the computer), but I’m happy to have the portable option to keep me occupied on my downtime at work. Give it a try.
