Mixed emotions
I’m not sure how to feel about this app. I’ll start off by saying it’s truly a creative, interesting, unique and overall great concept. I’ve never come across anything like it. The developers did a great job with coming up with MOST of this game. But like everyone else, I’m OVER the block/Tetris type game. Some other reviews said it forces you to spend money Bec sometimes it doesn’t even give you enough of the right color blocks you need to pass a level...that may be true, but it also may be completely random every time you start a level. Either way, it’s annoying. You have to spend so much time trying to pass these puzzles that I end up forgetting where the story line last left off. I would have given 5 stars, but it lost 1 due to these annoying block games and how many you have to pass in order to continue, and it also lost 1 Bec it seems EVERYONE has the same complaint and it’s like the developers haven’t done anything about it. They could easily make the recharge time faster, or the coins replenish more often. Or even figure a way to get free coins by watching an ad or something. But then again maybe everyone was right....that they know people will get so frustrated that they end up spending their money. Kinda shady imo. It’s annoying Bec it can really be an amazing, one-of-a-kind game. But these block levels take away from the creativity.
Good for the first 4 days
Ok first off I want to say that this game is extremely well made and a very new experience from the regular text story horror games. But it has one flaw which I’m sure everyone has mentioned...the mini games. Now I get the idea of why they are there, so people won’t just blaze through the game and so people can take time away from the story to reflect on what has happened, but the fact that you NEED to play the extremely challenging mini game to even progress the story is just not needed for such a great game. In doing this, you essentially make the game a pay to play. You can fix this issue that many people have brought up by making the player able to get coins easier and making it so that lives and spin rewards come at a more frequent pace. My experience with the game lasted about 4 days before I decided that the mini game feature directly hindered me from progressing the game. I hope my feedback along with the many other people who have the same issue gets seen and hopefully you fix this problem before it’s to late...
Great game!
I think that this is a great game that allows you to pass the time very easily and is very interactive. I think that this is a game for people who like story-based games and who have a lot of spare time on their hands. Honestly, I would describe it as more of a puzzle game with some story elements as an extra bonus. I think that from this perspective, it works really well. In contrast, if your looking purely for the story aspect, it can get a bit tedious and time consuming. This doesn’t make the game bad, just kind of drawn out. If I had to give advice to the developers, I would recommend giving some kind of completion trophy or some kind of time line shortcut to review previous scenes instead of repeating the same thing over and over again. This would make it more interesting and give the player a sense of accomplishment. Either way I loved the plot and would definitely recommend the game. It did kind of wrap up quickly at the end, but it was well received. Thank you for making this incredible game!
Inventive, Interesting, Interactive
I gave this game 4 stars because it's completely different from any other murder mystery game I've seen. I get excited picking up my phone to see an alert. What's it gonna say? From whom will it be? I love the different modes of communicating they've included. I have to say though, If you get squeamish at content, you may want to stay away. I'm only a day in but have already seen one slightly disturbing image. I would have given this game 5 stars, but it seems the responses I get when I pick my response in the game are generic enough to have been designed for any answer I would have chosen. I only wish it was more of a choose your own adventure style. I still highly recommend this game. And already have........(Update) Lowering my score to 3. Although everything I originally said about this game still rings true, I am getting very tired of playing the same Tetris style mini game over and over and over again to only slightly progress in the story line. I'm going to try to continue to play this game to see it all the way through but the game designer should really consider adding some different mini games. I'm starting to get bored of it.
Good but with flaws
The mystery part is good but you can’t progress without solving a puzzle game similar to Tetris. The problem with the puzzle game is that it seemingly gives shapes at random. There are games that no matter how well you play it, it is impossible to win because the shapes or colors you need don’t appear. It’s possible to create a game that gets progressively difficult without having it be literally impossible at times. They need to work on that. Also a little variation between puzzle games would be nice. Overall it is fun though.Update: I have now been playing this game so long (seems like about a year) that I have forgotten what the plot is even about. I’ve forgotten who each of the characters are or what relationship they are to me because all I have been doing is the same puzzles over and over. Maybe every month or two I will get a nugget of information, but then after continuing to play the puzzles for another month or so I don’t even recall what the nugget was about. This isn’t really a mystery you need to solve so much as it is a puzzle game that stays the same from the start with the exception of the puzzles becoming more complex. I’m lowering my rating to 2 stars just because they should throw me a bone every now and then. I would like to see anyone who has finished this game in a reasonable amount of time.
Game is AWESOME but has 1 major ISSUE
Okay so here it is all laid out for you. This game is highly addicting. It's probably the best detective/who dunnit/ detective game. Besides the fact that it is AMAZINGLY interactive with the phone calls, messaging, hacking etc I love the way it makes you apart of it all. I am quite far in the game and I am loving it. HOWEVER, it takes forever to get lives. Waiting hours to get two coins not to mention forever to get a new life/heart to play the block game aka "hacking departments" etc. literally the game itself is totally 5 stars. It is new and unique, inventive, creative and just FUN! Because of all this I will give it five stars. However if they don't offer better deals$$, or shorter ways to get lives and coins then I will have to lover my rating. Right now I am a huge fan and will definitely be putting this in my gamer/app blog that is highly rated. I just hope before I complete the blog they come up with cheaper deals and faster ways to get lives and coins!!!
Hate puzzle game
Ok so I LOVE the mystery behind this and I absolutely adore the texting interface, games like that are amazing! However, this game makes you play a Tetris-like game to advance. You’ll only get 4-5 messages before you have to play the Tetris game again and not only once, but 2-4+ times before you can get maybe 4 more dialogue messages. The puzzle games are seriously difficult because it’s random pieces that you’re given so there’s not always room for any of the pieces and no matter how many times you play it (you only get 5 chances before you have to wait ~25 min to get another or watch a video (and then wait another 3 hours to watch another video)). If you keep the puzzle game, at least make it replayable as many times as the player needs. To not lose chances, you have to spend in game money, which they give you very little to start with, and once that runs out you have to pay with your own money to get more in game money. It’s basically a scam, you have to pay a lot of money because the games are almost impossible to complete on the first 5 tries. Probably will delete if not changed.
Too Many Glitches, A Whole Lot of Time
While the game content is interesting, I have experienced many glitches within the game. Like earning all the stars only to get chat notifications where the chat bubble is totally blank, and then you have to earn more stars to progress again despite having learned no new intel. It’s also extremely monotonous. You play the exact same mini game with slight variations over, and over, and over again only to progress very little. It also doesn’t matter what answer you pick in response to other people’s chats because they answer the same regardless. It’s blatantly obvious because sometimes their answer doesn’t match what you said. The game has a lot of potential but needs more work.Update: I originally gave three stars, but have upped it to four. I inquired about the empty chats with the support team and they E-mailed back extremely quickly and were very helpful. I have since completed the game, and the ending was worth it. Keep playing, even when it gets a little dull.
Fantastic Thriller game with one issue.
This is a mystery game that blends elements of a text adventure and texting story, a detective game, and a puzzle, with a few plot points from well known thriller and horror movies. The plot rather than being derivative however is gripping, or at least in the day I have played it. The issue I have is the puzzle element. The enthralling Horror Thriller Hacker/Detective/ Texting story is spliced up with a throughly irritating Tetris game that is used as a pointless point gain system. The player is forced to play monotonous game after game to get to the meat of the story This seems to be only a way to extend what might be a shorter story and to get money for an otherwise free game. Though this is by no means the worst cash grab offender ( I am looking at you Pixelberry and Victoria and clones there of) I would have much preferred to be charged a small fee and had a more balanced game. However, that being said other than this minor caveat, this game falls into the tier of the most enjoyable most polished games in the App Store. Please continue to create these games. I will continue to buy and download them.
Great game, but...
I love the idea of this game and how realistic it is. And it’s really exciting when you get a call. My dad had previously downloaded it so I wanted to try it myself. Like I said I LOVE playing this app, but I have to give it 3 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ I know it’s not just my issue, every review I saw said the same thing, the puzzle. Now I get why they put it there, but why the same one, over and over again? I really hope the developers see this and plz try to change it. Not for me but for all the people that will download this app and for those who have and will delete it if it’s not changed. Once again great app but this really needs to be changed.Update- Ok so I spent a whole day trying to get all the stars I needed. I got them all and was very excited. I got to send TWO texts and now I have to get 12 more stars. I’d much rather have like an hour wait so people don’t just speed through the game, instead of the puzzle games. I’m getting a feeling the developers don’t care to change any of it, I’m not trying to be rude but this is getting very annoying. I’m not sure I can take it anymore. I’m only keeping it cause I really want to see the end but I’m not sure I’ll keep it anymore. Plz plz plz fix this
