Price is meaningless on the app, drivers are scammers here

Better not to use this app, if you pay with cash, “English-speaking” driver won’t know a word, double price without a reason and won’t arrive at the correct spot. Customer support is non-existent. Use Uber, not this scammers.

It has gotten a lot better over the years

Originally, this app was a terrible offering... but it is finally up to a level comparable with Uber. However, it would be complete if it could offer an estimated arrival time for the taxi to pick you up. It’s almost as convenient as Uber... almost.

Very reliable, terrific customer service

Life changing. Great App, great customer service, great everything. Extremely reliable! By calling the customer within a minute after submitting order via app and 10 minutes before scheduled time create a worry-free environment for customers! Will definitely spread the words and reuse it in my next visit!

Driver location maps removed.

After HKTaxi was bought by Uber, they removed the driver location maps for no apparent reason. Bring back the map, and this app gets five stars.

Great way to get a taxi/ credit card payment!

I never have enough cash in me and I love that I can always find a taxi easily and payment goes on my credit card. It’s easy to set this up in the app. I also love that you can chose to hire eco friendly taxis. Sometimes the wait is longer but it’s worth it when Il not in a rush. I can also choose an English speaking driver which also helps as my Cantonese isn’t great.

Useless

Taxi had advertised app inside with stickers etc but when it came to pay using the app the taxi driver said he couldn’t accept .

Convenient especially during COVID pandemic

I received a Network Error while using this app twice in the past few days. Each time I checked recent orders, it was empty until a taxi picked up my order. Then I would have one picked up order and a second order in progress. I just cancel the order in progress and all is fine. Not sure if this is related to a recent app update. I’ve been using this app for several years. Overall, I love this app. Especially during the pandemic when people worry about handling cash that may be be tainted with the virus. I also don’t have to check whether I have enough cash or carry around odd change. I’m usually careful not to hail a taxi since I want to pay via the HK Taxi app and not every taxi driver may use it. Recently my spouse hailed one while I was still opening the app. Luckily, our taxi uses the app, so I used the Pay for Street Hail option. It was super easy and fast! Thanks for such a great app and very good whatsapp support.

Worst app to fuel drivers greediness

You can never get a cab unless you choose to add an additional tip of 30HKD or above. Can only dream to get a cab without tipping. Outrageous and robs people when they’re at need.

Brilliant way to get taxis

This is a wonderful app that has become a lifeline for me. Being able to request in English helps of o have a tricky place to explain or we need two stops. All the cabbies are super nice and drive better than some of the old school drivers. They typically don’t do the crazy on/off the gas pedal which makes for a more comfortable ride. During busy times, sometimes I add a tip, but usually it’s not necessary. You just pay the same fare you do when you flag them down. Move over, Uber!
