Way too many ads
Shame on you KMB for your greed. The ads slow down everthing. Eventually no one will use your app. You are a public service company, don’t nickel and dime your patrons. Get rid of the ads. It’s good for your image, if you care.
Pick an AdBlocker before using the app
The app is great but has too many ads which will definitely ruin the user experience. Recommend AdGuard or NextDNS.
Inaccurate
everything was fine in the first 2 days. after using more and more, the bus timing for the bus arrival are all messed up to the point i can’t even understand. it first showed 5 mins at a particular bus stop. when i’m walking towards the bus stop, the timer changed from 5mins to 16mins. what does that exactly means? is the app really that inaccurate and don’t know how to calculate properly?
Ads make the app unloadable for China users
I don’t mind the ads in so much that they prevent people using China Mobile (mainland China) froom opening the app because the ads network are inaccessible which prevents the app from opening at all.
Needs lots of improvements
App doen’t even open on latest version.On previous versions, so slow that by the time it opened the buses went by already.Cross your fingers they don’t call you on the phone when within the app, as when you go back to it, have to start from scratch again.Should get better app developer 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Functional but Too Many Ads
It’s bad enough that you have to take the bus in Hong Kong. The app is supposed to help riders figure out routes, schedule, and wait time. Instead, so much effort is crammed into bombarding you with advertisements on the tiny screen that you can barely see the screen. Then there is the mandatory ad you have to watch everything the ad launches. Most people are in a hurry to look at bus arrival time and don’t have time to wait for the ad to finish. If I am forced to watch the ad, the bus ride should be free.Another major problem is many cross harbor bus routes are shared with a different bus company which doesn’t share the same GPS tracking system as KMB. It seems not possible to know when the next bus is coming when it’s “outside KMB hours”. It’s just so stupid.
Stuck at Logo landing page
I used to be able to use this app when I was using an older version of ios. Now every-time when I want to look at the bus schedule, it just stuck at the landing page. After some while, it even shut down the app by itself. Please fix this soon. I really hope that I can use this app again.
App no longer reliable
This app was super useful some versions ago. I relied on it heavily because there are several buses I can take from Cross Harbour Tunnel that are separated by stairs on the footbridge. Now I resort to waiting on the footbridge to see which if my buses are coming before I run down the stairs to catch it. For some reason, the GPS doesn’t always match the right bus. For example, Bus stops for 108 and 118 are near each other. The app shows the 108 arriving in 2mins, but the 118 shows up. This has happened several times with multiple buses with similar numbers and stops near each other. I’m guessing the 108 sometimes runs as 118, so the bus arrival time is for the 108. I’ve reported this before with the bus details and time, but received no response.Hope this gets fixed so we can rely on this app again. It was great when it worked.
Ads is the only thing that run smooth
This reflects the company attitude towards their customers: they view them as a cash cow that they can milk every last drop of money from. We are paying customer but yet we are subjected to the bombardment of ads on the bus and in the apps. Nothing else runs smoothly in this apps. The arrival time is not accurate and the apps sometimes doesn't open at all. But when it does open, the only thing that comes out are the ads.
Laden with ads
This app is laden with ads that are close to impossible to close. KMB is a public service, and you’re doing the public a huge disservice by actively preventing people from using it.The apps is also insanely buggy and the UI locks up every time it tries to load information. Yet another “paragon” of the quality of apps made in Hong Kong.
