It’s good, but a few glitches.

I love this app. It’s like a free version of procreate. The brushes are really good, I don’t have much to say. But there are some annoying glitches.It randomly starts working slowly, sometimes it kicks me out of the app. One time, I was erasing something, then the screen randomly turned into a glitchy green thing with yellow parts, then it immediately kicked me out. My art thankfully wasn’t erased, but a part of it was gone.

It’s ok but the glitches

This app is good for people who want to draw and feel like they are in paid app even though they’re not. It works alright for me but he reason I give it 3 stars and 4/5 is because of a glitch that happens to me all the time. I’m drawing on my canvas and all of a sudden it kicks me out. Usually I’m not mad and I go back in. But not even minutes later the entire canvas turns into green and my drawing is gone! I cant undo or anything!! It’s very frustrating because I spent 1 plus hours on a drawing just for it to be deleted!! If you’re seeing this review please fix these glitches! This app has a lot of potential!

Calm but mad all at once, Jun 22, 2023

This would be great but the bad things are so bad, it’s not.

It’s crashes on me, a lot. I have ample amount of space on my iPad and tried exiting out of all my other apps I was using and that didn’t help. I’m so confused why when you click on things with your Apple Pencil it immediately goes away, like if you’re choosing a brush for instance, you have to click the pin just to be able to find a brush without it disappearing after a split second when you move your pencil away, this is the same for a lot of the tools. If you go to click a color, good luck finding one in the split second it lets the color window open for, when you’re not hovering over things, it always has them disappear.. I’m not sure if this is only for the 6th gen iPad Pro because it has hover feature or what but at the end of the day.. the app unusable for me at least. I did want to like it. I tried making a screen recording to show the issues and within 2 minutes it crashed. I see a lot of good reviews so maybe it’s just my iPad or perhaps the glitches and issues are more recent idk.. If this was a brand new app, especially for IOS, I would have never given it the green light to be released and we’d be back to developing.. Good luck.👍

Overall great app but…

This drawing app is one of the best I’ve seen, its easy to use, not hard to get around (etc.) There is one problem though. I will be drawing and randomly the app will crash. It happens frequently, sometimes when I get on my recent progress will be saved, or it wont and I’ll have to do work over again. Please fix this! Thank you.

app is really good, but only 2 problems

I love this app, it’s pretty much a free procreate just with some differences. One of these differences bothers me and it is the animation feature. The problem is the fact i can’t have 2 layers on a single panel (not sure if that’s the correct word to use so apologies), if I try to make another layer I just end up with another panel and it’s annoying because I want to be able to sketch out my animation and color it and such. Hopefully they improve this. Another problem is the imported brushed group, how are we supposed to import brushes??? There’s no explanation nor no way I can find to import brushes so if there’s an actual way to let me know, but if there’s no way to then what’s the point of that imported brushes group??? Hopefully this also gets improved. Other than that the app’s pretty good, not a big fan of the default brushes and am having difficulty making a brush to my liking because I’m pretty sure the settings are sorta of limiting or at least for me they feel they are, but I might just not understand them too well.

I spent an hour on a drawing and it’s gone.

At first I thought this app was great and I was excited for the reference photos, but then I started to Draw on it and it had a glitch. This glitch would erase my whole layer and you can’t undo it ether so you’re just stuck with your blank layer and you have to start all over again. One of the worst things about this is that it happens when you have been using it for hours and you almost finished and it just deletes itself on you. I wouldn’t be so mad if this only happened once but this has happened multiple times and there’s no way to fix it. is this only a me thing or is this a regular issue? this would be a great app for someone who can’t afford the expensive art apps if this wasn’t here.

Not the best

So, I saw the YouTuber kooleen using this and saying this was like the app procreate so I decided to download it but there’s this annoying thing that happened to me while I was drawing. It just randomly crashed and I lost almost all of my progress and I worked very hard of the drawing so I was really frustrated. I didn’t completely lose all my progress all I lost was some of the things in the drawing, like the hair, the head, and the torso. All there was left was the face. Download this if you wanna be frustrated and annoyed maybe I should of not deleted iblis paint and downloaded this instead. I was thinking of buying procreate on my birthday but I changed my mind, all because of this app I recommend using iblis paint better. The last thing I have to say about this app is that the background layer isn’t really useful because when I tried to use that layer to draw the background it drew over the drawing. I hope you would fix these glitches.How I think of this app: frustrating, and nice brushes

Almost Perfect!

This app is so amazing! It is basically Procreate, but free. A couple things that would make it better are: 1. If you could, in example, draw a circle/shape and hold it to make the shape perfect. Like in Procreate. 2. I experienced the app crashing after about fifteen to thirty minutes of use. If that were fixed, drawing would be easier. Other than that, this app is, as I said, Almost Perfect!

I love this app!

This is by far one of the best sketching/art app on here for the reason that it is a full featured drawing app with as many brushes textures shapes or anything you could possibly think of you can use up to 100 layers import pictures to use as a reference or to trace AND ITS TOTALLY FREE!!!! You all the brushes and tools at no cost what so ever nor do you have to deal with those annoying ads like every other app on the market. I really want to give a huge THANK YOU to the developer of this app. Your app is now the only art/drawing app use on both my iPad pro and my Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra thank you very much

Good for the most part, but….

I’ve been using Hipaint for some time now and I’ve grown to like it. At first however I was really frustrated, there’s no tutorial to show what buttons do what and it took me a week to figure out how the app itself worked. There are also a large amount of bugs within the app, such as; brushes randomly spraying large spots mid-stroke and un-doing in chunks, occasional crashing and loss of progress, completely random layer-clearing that can’t be undone. overall the app is usable but it can be VERY frustrating, especially for a newer artist.
