User Reviews for Hearts: Classic Card Game Fun

Ruined An Incredible Game

The new version is horrible!!! You have to pay for alternate colored tables and if you want a different face card. The only options available otherwise are a green table and face cards with tiny print. The graphics are dull and the colors blend together so much it creates an image that makes it hard to focus. The graphics that make images of the cards move is either extremely slow or so fast your head spins. I would’ve preferred the game was left alone and never changed at all. Sincerely, Amie H.

Nice UI Updates but Gameplay reminds me of 1996

The UI updates are nice but now there is no point in playing the game. No longer do you have easy, medium and hard settings. Now you have a windows 95 era game of hearts; try and shoot the moon every-time. The AI is too dumb to try and stop you. If your cards are no good for shooting the moon someone else will and the other two AI players are too dumb to take a single trick to keep the other AI player from shooting. This is exactly how hearts in Windows 95 worked. Not sure how one could turn back AI capability 20+ years but this company figured it out. Time to find a new game with real all around human or AI game play.

Doesn’t play according to the rules!

Computer players will often ignore the rule about following suit for the card lead. They will “throw off” sometimes if the player before them does so, even if they can follow suit. Ads are literally presented between each and every hand (So, after all 4 players have played a card). Sometimes you also get ads *during* a hand, often making it impossible to see what the other players played. Messages to developers about this are ignored.

Ads after subscribing to remove them!

I like the game and subscribed to remove the ads. The ads are still there. How can this important bug be fixed? I have attempted to contact, but without luck. You have my money. What’s the deal (pun)? Seriously, though, what’s up with ads still being there—I confirmed my purchase history and it shows as completed. I rebooted my device. I went to the game settings and restored purchases—I still have ads. What gives? So far only I have given. Please fix.

Hate it!

I played the former version. I was forced to download the new version; it won’t allow me to play the former version. I liked the former version just fine! I could see the cards better, there were less sound effects and less steps to play your hand. Even the scoring is off! I only made it through one round, and deleted the new version. It stinks!

Bugs galore

The game itself mirrors the card game exactly but strategy gets thrown off because of the many bugs in the software. Here’s a great example: I was dealt three clubs and I passed them to the left. The player to the left, when they started the hand, did not play any clubs which should be impossible since I passed three clubs. Toward the end of the hand, the player to the left presented clubs!! Also, the scoring has many bugs and you cannot be certain how many points you actually have.

Ads are hard to avoid! And cost too much to make disappear.

I enjoyed your game until the upgrade, which added ADS right on top of my cards. I can’t (hardly) play the game now without (accidently) touching the ads and redirecting my screen to open those up. And $2.00 a MONTH to remove ads?? Seriously? I’m not paying you $24 a year to NOT see ads! I would’ve paid $5 one time, but not every month.Sorry, but I’ll find another game to play.

Awful

The app forced me to download the latest version of this app even though the original version that I had recently downloaded worked just fine. The new version is Terrible it freezes up all the time. The ads get stuck and you have to quit the game to get the ads to disappear. Don’t waste your time on this one.

Too many Ads

This version seemed cool when I played the first hand, but I soon realized you have to watch 2 ads between every hand. And when I looked at the features not much had changed. The whole game is aimed at getting you to buy the ad free version and there is nothing setting this apart from other Hearts applications. I like the old version better where you got an add every few hands.

Better version

I like this new version so much better. The options are better and you don’t need to tap twice to play a card. Don’t like how big the ads are, however.

Description

Welcome to Hearts, an app designed to offer classic card games players the authentic, free hearts card game experience online or offline, on their device of choice! Among trick-taking games that are not directly related to Bridge or Whist, perhaps the foremost one is HEARTS, which is truly one of the greatest card games ever devised for four players, each playing individually. The classic Hearts game can be played in 4, but also in 3 or 5 players.

What's the scope of any Hearts card game player? To end up with the lowest score at the end of the cards game. What's great about our Hearts app? - It's based on the authentic, offline hearts game play experience - Clear card game interface, simple hearts gameplay, without distracting elements and additions. - It's a card game app suitable for both experienced hearts game players and beginners alike (with the option to select slow cards animation). - Table and cards fronts and backs can be customised to any taste. - Game statistics are available for players at any moment. If you haven't tried, but you want to learn how to play Hearts, this card game app is exactly what you need, as it makes it easy for you to get a grip on the hearts game rules in no time. Here are some hints: - The player holding the 2 of clubs after the pass makes the opening lead. If the 2 has been removed for the three handed card game, then the 3 of clubs is led. - Each Hearts player must follow suit if possible. If a player is void of the suit led, a card of any other suit may be discarded. However, if a player has no clubs when the first trick is led, a heart card or the queen of spades cannot be discarded.  - The highest card of the suit led wins a trick and the winner of that trick leads next. There is no trump suit. - The winner of the trick collects it and places it face down. Hearts may not be led until a heart card or the queen of spades has been discarded. The queen does not have to be discarded at the first opportunity. - The queen can be led at any time. Install and play Hearts today to master this classic hearts game like a pro! Enjoy playing Hearts? Take some time to leave us your feedback - our players' opinions are always valued. We also invite you to play one of our other cards games and decide which is your favorite: Spades, Klondike Solitaire , Spider Solitaire, Pyramid Solitaire, Tripeaks Solitaire, Gin Rummy. Test your luck and have fun with Hearts! Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
