App does not work
Cannot login or use new device. Says contact support and I have tried to contact them via their website, email and Instagram. Awful user experience.
Hapbee developers appear to be incompetent.
I have NO desire to share information with an outside web site, and I have cross site tracking turned off for good reason. These bum holes made a device that requires an app but doesn't tell you you have to share your information with a third party to log in. Can you say lazy and incompetent?
Good App and Device
I have been using Hapbee and really like it. The latest version has a lot of improvements, and I’ve found it to be more reliable. I think it can definitely help anyone. Regular meditation may help you even more. One improvement would be to lower the monthly cost for full access by at least $10.
App quality is low
I love this device. Works great and I use it every day and won’t stop using it. So fabulous that technology like this is coming out! Seriously, fabulous. So glad that I bought this. Ok, some gripes, not the end of the world stuff. I’ve been in the software creation industry for over 35 years. This app does indeed have the annoyances that others have pointed out. My personal big annoyance is the logo light. Way too bright when it’s on (I have it on the lowest brightness setting) and after this major update you have to click the setting to turn off the light every time you play a signal otherwise you have this ultra bright light of the logo shining in your eyes. Before you could permanently turn off the logo in settings. Also, the ugliness of the selection highlight for the length of time (5 minute, 30, an hour etc) setting is simply the darn laziness of the developer. You took the defaults did you in the view layer in Xcode? None the less this is a great buy and I would absolutely buy this again. The rating I gave here is just for the app itself.
Updates never work
I love the Hapbee device - it does work once you give it a chance and use it regularly, I have gotten some of the deepest sleep in my life using it. I also use it for focus and calm- which I love both of them! But every time they update their app- it stops working. Every single time after I update , I can’t use my device anymore. This is ridiculous. This is the third time I have had this happen! I have spent countless time trying to reconnect and …. Nothing. For $20 per month service - they need to get their act together!!
Love this tool
One thing I noticed is I can feel it a lot when I’m quiet or by myself. The bedtime signal makes me feel super euphoric and deep sleep I feel like I’m on cloud 9, and the relax signal I feel creative, and get so much done on it— organized my closet, did a huge list of to-dos. My recommendation is turn off the Bluetooth while you use it.
Who wrote this app?
Absolutely utter garbage. Who ever wrote this terrible excuse of a commercial app for a company that is publicly traded should be replaced by someone who can write an app with a great user experience. Everything, and I mean everything, is a nightmare. Hard to navigate, little to no state saves, bizarre restrictions on run times, absolutely useless feedback and process for firmware updates, the list goes on. All of this for a product with relatively simple settings from a user perspective. The product itself is something I debate internally as to its usefulness but this app that is used to control it is so unbelievably bad that I had to write this review to warn others and have, hopefully, the company address which can only be done from a replacement point of view because fixing this mess is not possible in my opinion. How bad is it? I believe this is the first review I have spent time writing since July 10, 2008 when the App Store first opened… that’s how bad it is.
DOES NOT WORK.
I received my Hapbee device a few days ago. I cannot get past the login, and it has nothing to do with my account. It is an issue the tech team has to fix ASAP. Customer service has been slow to respond, and when they have, they were no help at all. I even sent a screen recording showing the issues with the app. I CANNOT USE A DEVICE THAT RELIES ON AN APP THAT DOES NOT WORK. If this issue is not resolved within the week, I return my device and steer my 25k following away from this company. Very disappointed with this first-time experience.
Device is good. App is a pain
Every time they update the app you have to delete the old app then reinstall the new one. This most recent time it won’t even let me log in - just takes me on a loop saying it’s trying to log in but doesn’t. The device is useless if the app doesn’t work. This shouldn’t be a hard fix I’ve never seen another app act like this?

The Hapbee Stings 🐝 Back! My daughter came running in my room dad, dad the Hapbee is stinging me. She was correct indeed the Hapbee was stinging her. The band had broken open and broken wires were prodding her in the neck. I reached out to Hapbee about this issue.(The only concern was their own) Sorry the warranty is up ⬆️. Only when I brought social awareness to this situation did the company reach out to me trying to play the good cop bad cop skit with me. The Ignorance of Hapbee here. Stay far away, it’s a Child Safety Hazard you have been warned 🚨 🚨 🚨
