Great Guitar Scales Reference!

I love it. Here is a straightforward learning app and reference for all guitarists.A myriad of guitar scales are displayed on an interactive fretboard with virtual strings you can pluck to see how they sound.In addition to the ability to show or hide fretboard and note labels, it lets you keep track your favorites by drilling down to a detail view from the ‘all modes’ reference. And there is a very useful option to prevent device sleep interruptions as you play your guitar alongside it.Highly recommended.

I have problems with the audio, there is sound at first and then not. And they don’t care.

Dorian Mode

I LOVE this app and how easy it is on the eyes. I am however confused about the displayed Dorian Mode as it’s different than anywhere else I’ve seen that shape.

Great scale reference tool

I’ve downloaded them all and live the visual simplicity.Would be nice to see custom string instruments — ie for 7 string guitar, 4string bass, 5 string bass — or other use cases like mandolin.

Description

Think of Grapes as an index of all the scales for a guitarist. Finding a concise app containing a detailed list of the modes was impossible. Grapes has a simple display without any of the complexity of other guitar apps, while still offering an in-depth collection of scales.

To simplify the process of memorizing scales, we added a “Modes” section, which helps illustrate each mode’s unique shape. Tap “view” to open up the mode on the fretboard and get a more complete idea of the entire scale/mode. - Includes All 28 modes made from the 4 heptatonic scales: Major, Melodic Minor, Harmonic Minor and Harmonic Major. - Also includes the Pentatonic scale and it’s modes, as well as 5 symmetrical scales. - Horizontal fretboard display - Prevent screen lock capability
