Dead ends

There is nowhere in the app to purchase flight plan. I tried purchasing the flight plan in the Anafi App but this did nothing. Drone School has disappeared entirely. For some reason, my profile data seems to have the default idea that I live in Germany. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve corrected and saved the proper info. Flight planning is important to my drone goals, but there are only dead ends. I have two more Parrot drones coming so I want to get this solved. I enjoy the app as a flight controller, but I need what is advertised here.

They discontinued support

Parrot decided to exit the hobby drone market and leave us hanging. Be aware the this app does not work properly after iOS 13. It will crash accessing camera settings and does not access the media. To get around this, you either have to use an older iOS product or use an FTP client over WiFi to get the media for download or deletion. I had very poor response from their customer service on this requiring several exchanges of unhelpful suggestions before finally telling me that it was discontinued and no longer supported.

Not flight plan included!

This app is really good, the only reason I don’t give it five stars is because fly plan have to be purchased. That should be included! Why we have to pay for “extra features” that should be part of the regular app. One more thing, for Malloy the other reviewer, first he has to turn on the drone, after that turn on the controller, when the controller is connected ( red light of the controller turns green) be sure WiFi of phone or iPad or tablet is off, then, connect your phone with the charging cable to the usb entrance in the controller. The free fly pro app should open automatically, if not, just open it and that’s it, you have your phone linked to the drone. I hope this will help you.

Works pretty well

I used the parrot bebop 1 with the skycontroller, and it worked very well. The skycontroller wasn't showing video feed until I updated it. The video feed from skycontroller to my iOS device was good. A review said the app crashes but right now I have not experienced it. I do hope some day a developer is just bored and makes a new update for this app.

for those having trouble with connecting

When you plug your sky controller via cable to your device (phone or ipad) and turn both the controller and drone on, it should either connect automatically or at least the drone will show up as an option to connect with. Connecting to the drone's wifi is only necessary if you plan to fly without the sky controller, only device.

Not what I was expecting

When I bought the drone online I was disappointed when I figured out they it didn’t even come with a simple controller! After looking at the reviews I purchased this app, after a couple of days using it I was very satisfied with the way the app worked. I have not come across any glitches yet and hope that they won’t ever show up. I’m very satisfied with product and recommend it to anyone!

No login, no drone control, but login server is down!

The app works on the newest iOS as of mid 2023, however, you CANNOT use it to control your drone anymore, since the app requires login to an internet account to enable the drone control functionality. This login is not possible anymore since the company has turned off the login server for this app. Probably because the app is only made for their obsolete drones such as bebop. But old customers still have these old drones and want to fly them! Now they are forever blocked out of their drone control if they reinstall the app or buy a new phone!

This app is absolutely terrible.

Let me start by saying this app doesn’t even deserve the one star and if I could rate it zero stars I would. I’m new to these apps and have been trying for two days now to get this ridiculous app to connect to my drone or even the sky controller. For some reason my Parrot Bebop drone says its connected to WiFi on my iPad but then on this app it says no drone connected and refuses to work. Not only that but the sky controller that goes with it says it’s connected on the iPad but then under states there is no WiFi and will not connect on the app. All the videos that are supposedly the guides to this toy say that both the drone and controller will automatically connect to the app which is not true what so ever. Also, when you go to the network section on the app I can’t change any setting, not even to name my network. Whoever the developers and quality assurance team is for this application is seriously lacking and I’m completely shocked they still have jobs.

Great... but...

Don’t get me wrong this is a really great app. However I do not appreciate how we have to spend essentially $40 extra after purchasing the drone in order to get all of the features, such as flight planning and follow mode, as well as several dronies and more. After spending up to $600 on one of your drones I think that all of the software should come free. I’ll give 5 stars if this change ever occurs. Also bring back flips and tricks on smartphone, some of us like to show off to friends when we don’t have a controller available.

Works except transfer is messed up.

I love the app and the features, but the transfer feature is messed up. It’s telling me I don’t have enough storage on my phone to transfer the file when I have over 45gb of available storage space on my phone. I guess I’m gonna have to screen record until the issue is fixed. Don’t let that deter you, just throwing it out as the only issue I know. Other than that, I love every feature and usage of the app and the bebop 2 is an amazing drone! Love that it has a feature like this!
