Not sure what happened

I really liked this game. I purchased the 4.99 no add deal and I’ve made about 250k so far. I sold over 450 homes and purchased millions of dollars with the diamonds I made selling them; I was really getting into it. Then it was like game over. One day I logged in and it won’t let me access my rental properties anymore. Not sure what happened; reset my phone, reset the app, check for updates etc. Still nothing has changed. I can buy houses and and remodel them but it won’t let me view them past fixing the house.! It’s showing I have rental properties in my icon, but I cannot access them.? Any help with this problem would be great. I like this app and would continue playing it if I could continue on like before. Thank you!

LESS ADS MORE CONTENT PLS!

If I were to pay $6 for a game I’d want it to be worth my money. If I needed to watch 1 bil ads for an idle game, I’d also want more content. The good does not outweigh the bad, here.. moving on.The art is great! And the concept of this game is good, but if I were to pay for this I’d want some improvements to be made.(I.e.) 1. The ability to edit the look of the house. (More of a designing game). 2. More options for rent; trying to give the tenant warning before eviction, more IRL experience in general. 3. Buying/Selling; Auction properties, more variety, etc. 4. More in-depth neighborhood information to be able to affect the base payment and eviction rate averages. 5. NO ADS on load-up. This is very inconvenient for players, and increases the rate of giving up on and deleting this application. 6. Offline play.

Pretty good game design but major UX glitches

Pro: Frustrating at first but once I figured out that I can hire multiple contractors to work on properties at the same time, game became much more satisfying.Cons: So many: 1) Multiple pop-ups that lay over each other and interrupt game play. They are annoying to navigate; 2) Pop-ups that notify you about weather or delivery delays navigate you to different homes, even if you’re in the middle of a transaction. That transaction now applies to a different home but there is no way of knowing because you are literally about to complete it. For example, you are buying work on Home B within a pop-up. Home A has a rain delay. You’re still in the pop-up but the background (greyed out) has transitioned back to Home A. You complete the purchase, only to find out it has been applied to Home A. Consequences: Home A is now going to need more time, Home A’s expenses have increased, Home A’s net value has decreased, Home B isn’t getting the upgrade, and you’re not aware of any of this; 3) The algorithm for when a weather or delivery delay occurs needs to be addressed. I constantly find myself in a situation where I have 20 seconds left on a house, just a few seconds left on the construction upgrades, and then a 1:45 delay pops up, requiring me to pay to end the delay. It happens frequently enough that I’m close to deleting the game. Please fix these issues, especially with the pop-ups and home navigation.

Horrible

I’ve literally only had this game for like 3 days. I went somewhere and didn’t have internet and kept clicking the offers that it gave me for the house and I noticed that it was giving me money and the house wasn’t being sold. So I was like cool, I did that until I was at like $4 million and I was playing the game fine. I bought a house ad clicked the upgrades. And while they were fixing I went away from it for a little while, and I can back and had $-640k like how is that even possible. I’m thinking maybe bc it thought I was cheating on purpose and then after I bought all those houses it took away that money but before the cheat I only had like 70k and I bought like 2 houses for 600k after the cheat. So I don’t think that’s what happened but I am very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very verrryyyyy upset!!!!!!!!!!

Disappointed

I looked at this game and the reviews and it seemed like a great game. It started out okay...the directions were very sparse and just basically told you what things were. They don’t tell you you only have 5 minutes to fix the house once purchased and sell it. I also had the game freeze so I couldn’t do anything even after uninstalling then reinstalling. Once I figured out the timing, I was doing alright buying, fixing and selling but, then I left the game for a break after selling a house with a nice profit and when I went to play again, the game was at the same house I had just sold prior to leaving the game and asking me to sell it again for a much lower value. The game itself was glitching as it was zoomed all the way in to the roof with a sold sign on it. If you scrolled to the left, it showed the other houses sold and purchased prices but would show the house from far away then zoom right into the roof. Liked the game but too many glitches to deal with. Let me know when you’ve fixed it and I may try again. I love HGTV and this seemed so close. Please fix!!

Flawed but fun

First of all, the game seems to have a function where it allows you to do a couple repairs then if you close the game and reopen it later you get a screen of offers that you have no choice but to accept one of the offers as there is literally no way to close that screen or reject all the offers. I wouldn’t dare dream of buying a 50k foreclosure and slapping a new coat of paint, patching the roof and trying to flip it for 60k... you’re leaving money on the table. At least fix this function where you can close that window or reject all those offers and go back to renovating. Same happens if I choose the rent option. About the best work around to this flaw that I’ve found is to immediately choose rent, do a couple repairs, wait for the tenants to break the lease(it WILL eventually happen) then choose rent again, a couple more repairs and wait for the broken lease again. It’s workable, but wholly unrealistic and ridiculous. Fun, but fundamentally broken.

Obvious Problems

Rentals - There is no information on what to do with rental properties. If I don’t collect the money before the lease is up, the money just goes away? How long is 1 year vs. a 5 year in real time? Selling - You get 5 minutes to fix up a house. If you choose to fix up more than one house at a time, toggling between them makes your highest offers go down. Why? Why isn’t there a running total of what I’ve put into a house (cost + upgrades) while I’m upgrading? The only way to see the actual amount spent is afterwards in the portfolio, unless it’s a rental. By the way, what is the number with the red/ green arrow in rental mode? Some explanation on this would be nice. Gems - Multiple times, I bought 2 more minutes, it took the gems but didn’t give me any more time. You can buy special managers, but they cost gems. It would be nice to have a cash deal on these guys every once in a while, so I actually knew what real value they brought to a project before I spent real money on gems. Also, these managers come with an explanation if you tap them, but the “handyman” doesn’t. What does he do to cost twice as much? This would be a fun game if there were some fixes. The lack of goals and house prices capping out at around $700k also makes gameplay boring after about 2 days. Short sales make game play a bit more interesting.

Fun Game

I Like These Types Of Games... Perferably Because Most Of The “Houseflipping” Games Are Sourrounded By None Other Than Overpriced Or Puzzles. I Did Find Somethings A Little Odd But Maybe Its Because I Am A Newb At This Particular Game.... I Went Broke In A Matter Of A Handful Of Deals Where I Fully Upgraded Everything Top Notch Then Rented Out The Properties Instead Of Selling Them. Because Of That I Ended Up Renting 2 Fully Restored Top Appliance, Flooring, Roofing,Bathroom Specialists And Every Worker They Had Available That I Could Afford For About A Little Under $140,000 And ended Up With Only $3,000 In My Bank Left Over. NOW THAT Blew But I Am Redownloading It Again So I Can Redo My Mistakes In House Flipping. 1 Thing I Do Not Like Is I Keep Getting Anywhere Between $10,000-$20,000 Short Of My Asking Price I Dont Understand That.

Glitchy

The game has potential but it’s soooo glitchy! Ads freeze the game a lot and if that happens in the middle of a sale then you have to reload the game and you lose the ability to do repairs so you take a loss. Sometimes the buttons don’t work for repairs so you end up losing money. Sometimes if you try to reload during a glitch it buys houses with your money and then you have to sell them at a loss. I can’t figure out the rental feature, every time I’ve tried it if I go out of the game the rent is gone when I come back so it’s not like an idle game where it accumulates while you’re offline, you have to stay in the game to collect it and the amount of time it’s rented is arbitrary even though you have a “lease”. Every time I’ve tried to do multiple houses it glitches and freezes the game. There is an ad every time you load the game, buy a house, and sell a house so it’s a lot of ads! Plus every repair takes about 2-4 minutes and you can’t do more than one or get out of the game or else it will glitch or lose your progress so you just have to sit there and wait without anything else to do and that gets pretty boring. I think the developers need to put more time and thought into it

Could be great

Great concept of buying and selling houses. Renting and leasing almost never works out however. Maybe 10% of my rental properties would actually make it to the end of the lease without either becoming inhabitable(and not being given a chance to fix it) or the buyer not being able to pay back. Maybe add a feature that shows an applicants credit score or current employment to add some realistic aspects to the game while making it a bit more challenging and fun. Game is also super glitchy. I had a portfolio of over a million and then I just opened it and it reset back to $100,000 that you’re given at the beginning of the game. A lot of ads as well, those were less of a problem than everything else. A few changes and I’ll play this game a lot.
