I love this game but,

I hate that it takes forever to get through cities. I’ve been stuck on a level for literally over a month. I play regularly, always using cash for card packs, or coins to upgrade. But it’s almost like you are stuck on one spot bc card packs don’t give you much to upgrade. Then there just isn’t enough land to place all stores, factories, or homes without deleting parks or activities, but then you can’t make any extra money with out the activities. I’ve had to go in and delete everything one by one multiple times to rearrange I’m hopes it will upgrade me to the next level and it never works. I just feel like I’m in a never ending loop and it’s leading me to almost delete the app and I don’t want to do that. When something cost 20,000,000 in coins to upgrade and it doesn’t give you a Second slot or more products to put in your store then it doesn’t seem worthy of trying anymore. 😞

Best city builder game IMO

Easy to play, don’t need to spend actual cash to get in game “cash” I’ve actually made it to level 4 daily sign in and my city has been holding up pretty well. Usually any other ‘city building’ game I play I end up getting tired of it by the second week and forget I have it on my phone, but for some reason this game actually has been playing it every day for more than 30 minutes sometimes. I love how you don’t need to spend actual money like I said, but you can earn the in game cash through your attractions and what not. Pretty nice system, seeing as you can use that in game cash to get extra cards or cash. Overall 10/10 to me

Great game! But has problems.

I downloadEd this game a year ago and unlocked basically everything. But after I got to level 38 I started to see glitches and bugs like when you first login it kicks you out most of the time. MyCity is a good game too, just only that this game has better graphics and CAN’T handle the graphics because they are so good. (Not a bad thing). I would also like to say that everything else is awesome, I like the card idea and I like how they use ads when you want to see them not like they just pop up on your screen. Other than that, it is epic.

Some bugs

This game is really great but there are some bugs that are annoying me and others have the same problem. The first problem is that when building, after I build one thing, when I click on the bottom left part to open up the building menu, it just won’t open, causing me to have to close out the app and go back in. The next big is with the decorations. Whenever I try to upgrade that, it doesn’t give me an option to skip, and it just gets frozen there so I have to exit out of the app, close it and reset. The are the only issues I have but it’s a really great game and I’m the second highest valued player in the game. My name is Luis Cordon.

I am so addicted to it

This game is the best my sister keeps asking me to make an obstacle course and I’m just like yeah one minute LOL I also keep leveling up at the game It’s really fun because it’s not that hard to get money like I started like thirty minutes ago and not to brag but I already have the Wooden Coaster! And it also really fun not because my cousin got Covid and I’m quarantined it’s because I have nothing else to do anymore because of FLIPPING COVID-19 and trust me it ruined Christmas and my cousins birthday so yeah itsucks Horribly if there’s any Patriots fans out there I’m sorry about what I’m about to say JK but your team is still worse than Covid HAHAHAHAHA I’m a Bills Fan😛

Fun but needs work for five stars

*Developers* PLEASE READ!! We should be able to buy the exact card that we need to upgrade or purchase something at least up to 3 times a day!! It’s no fun to play when you’re just stuck waiting for the exact cards you need and you have no control over what the game gives you. I have 20/10 cards on some buildings and 7/50 on others!!! So FRUSTRATING. Also you can really get rid of the colors they’re just unnecessary and we’d much rather have cards we can use. LASTLY, PLEASE MAKE THE GAME MORE INTERACTIVE!!!! We should be able to visit other cities and we could even do challenges/ missions together with friends. It would help with all the waiting. Please fix some of these things with updates!!

Was 5*

But dropped it... and deleted it. I loved it before the update...you made it fun before, we could earn free money, I even spent money, a lot, and I’m disabled...on very little income...but I was enjoying myself, but now...not anymore, you made it too hard to earn free money, it is too expensive and the prices went up for the packages... I’m just over it. The game wasn’t buggy for me, I never had an issue on my iPad, maybe I was lucky I don’t know, never had an issue and would play for literal hours on end. I hate greed though. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”! I like the paint and color addition...but I don’t care enough to reinstall. I’m done. I hope the ones who had the issues continue to have fun, I’m glad their issues got repaired! I hate issues and bugs. I’m glad I didn’t have any! Maybe my iPad is just awesome.

A SimCity Build It Veteran’s perspective

5+ year’s playing EA’s SimCity Build It, now I’m obsessed with Citytopia. The visuals and details are a lot better on Citytopia, but two day’s into it, it has become obvious that these two games have different focuses, where SimCity focus on building, Citytopia focuses on how a city functions internationally. But that’s fine, I love both. The issue with Citytopia is that: 1, the visual effects, especially the ones when you upgrade, when you get new cards are just too much, it has become a huge issue for the fluidity of the game because you are constantly interrupted and distracted by these visual effects. 2, the fact that all roads are ore-built is really bothering those like me who like to design the city landscape in their own way. 3, whenever you go back to the game, you’d have to collect all the money bags hovering on nearly all of the buildings, I don’t mind the work l but it blocks the view of the city, note that being able to give your city a nice bird view is one of the biggest reasons why people play city buildings games. I would like to spend more time and money on this game if I see these issues being dealt with.

Interesting games play but so frustrating to start

I start and in playing for about 10 minutes I got about a minute of actual gameplay (not an exaggeration), and that was skipping a good chunk of the ”unlocking” scenes which normally take half a minute at the very least if you’re getting more then one item. This game does more than hold your hand, it does everything short of actually forcing your fingers through a horribly annoying tutorial. If they had an option to turn off said tutorial or automatically skip the flashy scenes when you open the card packets and level up it wouldn’t be bad but when I just started, forced through a several minute long tutorial, level twice within two minutes and force through ANOTHER tutorial where I am again forced to do things? Well, you as see the resulting frustration here. The reason I’m even considering continuing is that the city build appears to be better than sims city and the aforementioned annoying animations and tutorial *shouldn’t* be a problem as you continue to play.

Fun time sink until it was all wiped away

I was very satisfied with a game that pretty much allowed you to gain the micro-transaction currency in-game; I never felt pressured to buy, and was building up my little city at a nice pace. Honestly, it’s probably the best town builder I’ve played in awhile just because of that low-pressure attitude. However, after closing the app this morning and re-opening a few hours later, I found that my entire game had been reset back to the tutorial. Over a week of work and planning just gone for no reason. Incredibly gutted over this; I don’t think I’ll be playing again. So, I guess try to link several accounts to ensure you have backups. I only had my Apple account linked but here we are, no city. Rest In Peace my Lv 5 Town, we were so close to upgrading.
