100% free today only? Nothing is free.

I paid $1.99 for this thinking I was buying the ad free version since the app itself was advertised boldly as 100% free. Not even close! I accidentally used up my one and only “search” while I was playing with the app and learning how to use it. If I want ad free or get more searches I need to pay another $1.99, which I might have done if given half a chance at playing with the app properly and determining it was useful to me. Right now it’s not, I have a list of my items and that’s it. I tried to contact the author, but that button is disabled in the app. Probably my own fault for not asking questions or reading the fine print, lesson learned. Please take time to update this page.

Price bait and switch & mixed effectiveness

Bought this to find my Inspire HR. The device showed up but it wouldn’t give a reading. When selecting it it gave a error saying that the device is connected another app. I deleted the fit bit app and closed everything and it still wouldn’t allow it. I downloaded another app and it worked. So why doesn’t this one?As others have said. You pay 1.99 and you can only search for one device and then have to click on ads or pay another 1.99 before you can search another. The devices are always moving so it’s easy to misclick. Dishonest tactic. Your mileage may vary.

Did the trick.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I had misplaced my Fitbit blaze and this app helped me track it down perfectly. I initially had trouble finding it in that list; it was showing up but couldn’t track because it was connected to my phone. I had to have my phone forget the blue before I could track it. The hot/cold feature was pretty intuitive. My only complaint is that the blaze and a Bluetooth speaker kept jumping around the list and I accidentally clicked the wrong device. I had to watch an ad before I could try again.

Skeptic Loves It

After wandering around the house thinking I was being made a fool of for 10-15 minutes, I found my Fitbit One. Sure, I had to watch a few adverts, but it was worth it. The only complaint (and the reason I had to watch ads to be granted more searches) is that during discovery mode, my wife's Fitbit HR and my One kept changing sort order on the screen so fast that I accidentally clicked hers the first few times. Also, when searching, the app occasionally hung and turned gray. Not sure, but minimizing and reselecting the still-open app seemed to force it to continue. Have a little patience, move slowly, and you'll find your device so long as it's still transmitting!

Best investment!

When I came back from walking our dog I went to check steps on my Fitbit and it was gone. I thought I knew the general area where it might have fallen out of my pocket. I went to the App Store to find a Bluetooth locator and decided to invest and buy this one. Money well spent! I wish I could upload the picture showing just a small part of my Fitbit in the long grass at the park. I never would have going it without this app. I love the visual from freezing to hot, it really helps you zone in on your item. Would that all my investments yielded so much so quickly.

Erratic/Barely works

I literally found my headset by brushing it accidentally with my foot as I was walking around getting virtually no variance in the signal. It claimed there was no name, but it was connected to my phone and identified itself quite clearly. To ensure I wasn’t nuts, I disconnected from my headset, put it on the table and walked from one end of my house to the other and saw neither a new line item for the device nor any real change in the observed signal. I also held my device LITERALLY within 8 inches of my phone. No change. Would *not* recommend. Maybe put the non-broadcast name/Bluetooth ID so I can make sure it’s not a Bluetooth transmitter in my neighbors car? I know the dev isn’t a native English speaker, so I don’t judge the iffy interface, but the functionality of the app is just way too spotty.

Misleading

This app is misleading because I was expecting to not have to pay to use the service more than once, but to my surprise you get one free use then you have to pay AGAIN to use the service another time. I was very disappointed because it couldn’t even find the device that I wanted to find, and now I have to pay again, which I am not doing, to use the service again which I already paid for. This app should be a one time purchase and then you shouldn’t have to pay again for it which is why it is misleading. I want a refund but the restore button in the app seems to be broken, not a coincidence. When you click support you just get taken to the creators twitter which doesn’t make sense it isn’t like most support pages. I would like a refund if possible.

Lost Fitbit blaze

My husband did yard work all day yesterday and was so sweaty he just put the Blaze in his pocket out of the band. We washed our vehicles and he power washed the driveway. This morning to his dismay, no Blaze. He looked all over and when I got home from work I looked for an hour...mostly outside being sure it fell out of his pocket. When he got home from work, the Blaze connected to his iPhone so we knew it was here. We looked at the apps and I downloaded this one. He also downloaded another app, but this one was much better and less confusing! We had to go very slow as it jumped around a bit. We tore up our bed and looked under all the bedroom furniture....I finally got a 96 hot by one dresser drawer. We dug around and his Blaze was in a pocket in his shorts he started to wear after cleaning up yesterday, then changed his mind to another pair. I have no idea how long till we would have found it, if ever! Very impressed!!!

I found it!!!! Only Free app that helped

I just found my Fitbit versa. It seems to be a little wonky but I think that could just be Bluetooth signal going In and out. Be patient and let it sit for a few seconds every time you move. I’m not sure how my Fitbit got in this bag but I would have never checked without the app. Thanks for doing exactly as you said. I also didn’t have not one ad. It took about 10ish mins to find as I knew it was def in my room. Soon as I left out my room it read cold so focused right where it was warm/hot thanks again.

Lost Versa 2

I lost my Versa!! I wore it Saturday then took it off to take a shower and that was the last time I remember seeing it! I’ve been looking all over my house for 3 days!! I could sync it with my Fitbit app so I knew it was close. I’ve torn apart the couch, chairs, bed etc... but couldn’t find it. So I decided to check the help section in the fit bit app. I found a comment about an app that could help find your Bluetooth devices so I tried it. It was free, and it didn’t work so no biggie. As I was reading through other comments in the Fitbit help section, this app was mentioned. It had an average of 4.5 stars and had good reviews and it only cost $1.99 so I figured it was worth a try. It worked!! I was able to find my Versa 2 within 5 mins. It was in a closet inside a container of yarn!! The app directed me to the right spot! It did take a bit of patience as it did go from warm to hot a couple times but when it showed a consistent “hot” reading then I knew it was there!! The app is very easy to use!! I’m so glad that I checked the help section in the Fitbit app!! I would recommend this app to anyone! It will find anything that connects with Bluetooth and still has some power left in the battery!
