Really Helps!

This app is really helping me stick to my good habits. I noticed my streaks getting just a little bit longer over time, maybe only a few days here and there to start. But after a few months use, I am now consistently hitting two week streaks. It gets addicting, not wanting to break the streak, and sometimes all it takes is that little extra push and visual representation (which is also really pleasant to look at and easy to use, especially in dark mode) of a habit to get it to stick. The consistency is making a tangible difference in my work, marriage, health, and social life already. Excited to see how long my current streaks on my habits last. Spend the couple bucks on premium, it’s worth it.

Solid app

(If you read this first part, please read all!) With a simple app such as this, there really shouldn’t even be a price. At least not one like $30 per year. Even though it’s a small price overall, maybe the app should just cost a small $5 fee as a one time purchase. I downloaded the app because I thought it was going to be a good habit tracker. Then, after finding out I can only track 3 habits max unless I purchase the “premium” package.... not worth it. I can just find another app that’ll be free or of very little cost.(I’m leaving my previous comment so it’ll remind me not to submit such a critical and pointless review)After reading others reviews and much consideration, I’ve decided to “amend” my previous review. I completely understand now that apps do cost money, not just to create, but also to run, maintain, and update and upgrade. I appreciate all the work that has been put into this app! It really is a great Habit Tracking app that is well developed and designed.I was angry that I couldn’t find a simple app that I could download and use that was free and could simply track like 5 to 10 habits. Most of the apps I’ve found only track 3 and for a limited time because of the cost to run the app. It’s completely understandable and I apologize for being so stupid with my first posting of my review. $30 for an entire year is really a STEAL for any user wanting a solid app such as this one!!

Visually compelling and wonderfully executed

I’ve tried numerous habit trackers and reminder apps over the years, and nothing has grabbed me so completely as this one. The visuals, the clean interface, the gentle reminders to not skip two days (but no “punishment” other than a break in the color gradient if you need to skip twice), the incredibly compelling and nuanced widget options— all of this earns a “wow” from me. I’m historically resistant to subscriptions, but $29/year for what this app is giving me in terms of mental health is an absolute steal. Yes, you could do this on paper, but will you? You could do this in a spreadsheet, but will you? Having the large widget right there on my Home Screen has been motivating in a way I have honestly never felt. If you have ADHD this is a jolt to the system in the best possible way. If you’re an artist or designer you’ll love the aesthetic. If you simply need an easy way to track a few habits, go with the free version, it’s marvelous and without ads or other shackles. If you need more than three habits, great! The paid version is well worth the subscription, and I’m glad to be putting money in a skilled independent developer’s hands. Thank you Joan!

Life Changing Tool

This is a review from someone who "doesn't (often) write reviews". I have tried numerous things to motivate myself into consistent (positive) habits, and this has been a Game Changer! Simple and Effective, I have been able to "Gameify" my streaks of unbroken progress in a way that motivates me not to stop. It started with making my bed everyday and has grown into a multitude of very positive habits. My wife loves the change in me, I may not do a lot of things, but I get whats in this app done! Of course, the effectiveness is directly correlated with your desire for change and self-discipline, but this has really helped me. Its like my own personal accountability partner that is always there. Thank you to the creator/developer! Please keep this going!

EVERYthing I’ve Always Wanted for my EVERYday

I love the sleek and simple but yeah effective strategy for deploying this app. Not only does this app allow me to keep track of my habits but it allows me to do so in a way that will encourage and help me out psychologically. I feel as though the psychological help and approach to completing tasks efficiently is the best way to go about building good habits. The help that is provided along with the simple layout of the app only makes it better. Also when I needed help and had questions about the application I was able to reach out to Joan and received a response in less than 30 minutes. If that isn’t the epitome of EXCELLENT customer service and dedication, then I don’t know what is! If I could rate this app a 6/5 stars then I would!

Developer jacked up the prices

Price went from $1/month to $5/month, or from $12/year to $30/year. Most of the “worth it” reviews reflect the original pricing. No clue why the developer suddenly felt the app was worth 3x the price, and moreover, I’m just sad that apps that once went for a one time purchase of $3 to $5 are now trying to charge the same monthly. I blame Apple for that... greedy!UPDATE: Developer responded below that the price had to go to because the app wasn’t sustainable. That’s the problem with many app developers today. They want to write one app, get customers, then raise the price. They’ve given up on making other apps and adding more value to draw in more customers. Instead, they’re exploiting their one success story and raising prices for the few who are willing to stick around. It’s happening over and over and over. $4 calendar utilities turning into $20 calendar utilities for a “polish” upgrade, turning into $30/year subscriptions - for a calendar utility. At the end of the day, if you feel like an app that replicates what you can do with a spreadsheet is worth $60/year, go for it. But this sort of price jacking is ruining the App Store, slowly, through attrition. Maybe the balance sheets don’t yet reflect it, but they will.

My Most-Used App!

I am now on day seven of using this gorgeous habit tracker, and I love it. The colors are pretty, and I find watching the streaks build very motivating. it syncs flawlessly -- and immediately -- across Chrome, iPhone, and Mac. (I haven't tried it on my watch yet.) I found out it could be set up to open in a fresh tab on Chrome, and it's the best thing ever because I am so frequently reminded of my daily habits and able to easily check them off when I'm ready. The week-long starter email series is very helpful, and the "Learn" tab has a wealth of information on setting and maintaining habits, with lots of scientific background about what works and why. I also had a question for the developer, and she got back to me quickly with a kind, helpful email. In the meantime, I had figured out how to solve the issue, but she mentioned that she would keep playing around with it so that others didn't have the same confusion. As a tip, if you change the colors a lot (as I do, since mine are in rainbow order, so I have to tweak things every time I move/add/archive a habit), the easiest way to do it is via the Chrome extension: hover over the habit name, then click on the color dot to the left and choose a new color.) After all, the beauty is part of the point of the app! (Developer: It would be great if it were this easy to change colors on the Mac app, but this is a good work-around and certainly not a deal-breaker!)

Such a cool app - using for daily schedule/flow!!

I scoured the App Store for something that I could use for a Daily Flow/recurring schedule planner, using the concept of 3 Rocks and 4 Blocks (the idea is that you have 3 fixed events in the days - the rocks - and the other portions of the day are your blocks.) Everyday is working amazingly for this - I have 3 habits as my “rocks”, with reminders set, and then use remaining habits to fill in the other portions of the day. The color coding makes it a breeze to visualize the whole day. It’s easy to look ahead and see the whole day at a glance. Also love the Apple Watch integration. This is an awesome app - thanks so much for creating!

Amazing

It’s cliche but I really don’t write reviews ever. I’ve recently been testing 4 or 5 different habit trackers and then found this one and realized my search was over. It has worked flawlessly for me thus far and the user interface truly is gorgeous. I needed something that had a web UI since I spend most my time working with 4 monitors and this has worked great between my windows desktop, iPad, and iPhone. The bright sharp colors motivate me to stick to my habits in order to fill it up while the dark mode is nice and easy on my eyes. Also love the streak counters on the side so I can see them without having to go searching. Signed up for a year and it was worth every dollar.

Better than the others

I’ve tried every habit building app available including Fabulous and Done. Those were either overly and unnecessarily complicated (and expensive) or too simple. The color coding is easy to read and see where you can use improvement and if you miss a day you don’t need to start over. Yay no app-judgement to deal with! It’s important to have consistency and encouragement when building or breaking a habit and this app provides science-based articles and tips you can easily implement. If you want an app that supports your quest to build or break a habit - this one is great. I can finally add all the things I’m working on and easily tick them off. I also really like the gradient colors… it’s a bit of interest that is encouraging without distracting.
