Simple and powerful! A must have!

There are many apps on the market that require you to pay a fee for so-called premium features that this app provides for free. And this app provides these features in an easy simple interface and it does it extremely well. I had purchased a similar app that had a one time fee and Ike cannot get the app to even load my contacts. I spent hours fretting over what I was doing wrong. I tried to get my money back but somehow the payment was still pending so I could not cancel. There was no customer support as there was some error on the customer support page. It recognize that I had multiple accounts but again I couldn’t see any contacts. So I was extremely hesitant and reticent when I downloaded this app for no cost. I was truly not expecting much. However within less than 20 seconds it had recognize all seven of my contact accounts and I downloaded all of my contacts and was ready to merge. it had every feature all of the other paid apps made you pay premium for. It did take a while for the merge to occur because I had so many duplicates but it was well worth the wait. I can’t recommend this app highly enough. Why pay any company for service when this app provides it in a simple easy to use and powerful interface for free.

LOVE in an app

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to write a 5 star review more than I have for this app. It is a life saver my mom had 2000 + contacts from years and years of switching phones and literally had 5 copies of every contact. It was dreadful trying to delete them through iCloud, so I googled how to delete multiple contacts when this gem showed up in a blog. Wow am I glad we downloaded this. What we had already been working on for an hour and gotten no where, this app came in and saved the day, and many more days by consolidating all those 2000+ contacts into exactly 303. I literally can’t contain my happiness and how happy mom was. Her contact list was an eyesore and now it’s super tidy thanks to CleanerPro.Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

Nearly perfect

The app works great at identifying and merging duplicate contacts. Literally seconds to fix. You have to go back in and use the app to correct duplicate telephone numbers in the contact list. It works great. I don’t know if the merging causes the duplication or if the duplicates were already there. I think there might have been already there. It takes seconds to fix You have to go back in and use the app to correct duplicate emails within the contacts. This didn’t work. It could not fix it. There were only 13. I had to go to menu select duplicate emails and manually delete the duplicate email off the contact. It took about 3-5 minutes. You have to edit through this series of steps or the edit of the contact won’t remain saved and the list of duplicate emails won’t diminish in length.

Cleaner

Does exactly what I was looking for. For some reason u do the transfer cloud usually cas I used to hv no problem not much anyway with my contacts bht this last one upgrade to the new iPhone and it put like 2000 contacts wich I think now a lot are ads cas I don’t even no these people like so many doctors numbers I haven’t herd off so it must be another way they sell info or whatever theses corporations do and it was so long trying to delete thers no mass delete on iPhone it will not do it and it’s like three or four steps to delete one number this app said it could do mass deletes and all the scams that I hv run into I was skeptical. But it is awesome and the best part so easy. No searching for this and that u wana delete a lot of contacts and not waste to much time just get cleaner app. Tap the icon on the top right and start tapping the ones to delete hit trash. And bye. Awesome thank you

Deletes Notes Section of All Contacts & can’t Restore

This app seemed great. Except when I merged the duplicate contacts it does not keep all the fields- I know for sure that the “Notes” section gets deleted, and there could be other fields as well who knows. The Notes section gets deleted even if both contacts had notes. So it seems that the app is creating a new contact instead of keeping the most complete contact and updating it with info that does not match from the other contact being deleted- which would be a much better approach and help to reduce this problem. I write important notes in the contact field so this is really bad, I would rather have duplicate contacts than lose important info. Also, before it merges the app backs up your contacts. And there is a section in the app that allows you to Restore from this backup. BUT the back ups do NOT have the Notes section either so the back up for this issue is useless and gives you a false sense of comfort to do the merge. If you had this same problem and sync to Exchange then go to your Deleted Items (or Online your Deleted Contacts) and restore from there. Took a lot of wasted time but I got my contacts back, but with more duplicates now!

FINALLY AN APP THAT DOES WHAT IS CLAIMS AND IS ACTUALLY FREE

Seriously 100% FREE and NO ads!!! On top of that it works insanely fast. It says you should do a backup before deleting anything and that is where you will find another great feature…as soon as you open the app it automatically does a backup of your contacts and it literally took 2 seconds. Then you click on selection at the bottom to find duplicates but you’ll see that as soon as you click it will already have all your duplicates sorted out. I then gave a quick peek at what it found and then clicked merge and my 100 duplicate contacts were deleted instantly. The entire process including downloading the app all the way to completing the deletion of the doubles entries took less than 5 minutes. This app is absolutely amazing!!!

It’s an OK application, ...

... meaning that it works as described by its developer AND that at present time I do not know any other application better than Cleaner Pro. I have use this application for about 3 years. I have used other applications such as:Contacts Mover, A2Z Contacts, SmartMerge Pro, Contacts Sync, Cleaner One, Easy BackUp and Simpler. Contacts Mover, A2Z Contacts, and SmartMerge Pro have just the same “data entry” screens ... seems like developed by the same developer or perhaps these applications uses common modules so that their looks, appearance and functionality are almost exactly the same.At any rate, the reason why I gave a 4-Star rating is because no matter what “contacts application” you use, YOU ARE relinquishing your Contacts List OWNERSHIP to their developers!!! What this does is that you will eventually see an increment in junk mail, robocalls and text messages which disregards their developer’s claim and assurance that they don’t sell or share your contacts list with 3rd parties. This will force you to subscribe to additional protection services from your Wireless Telephone Service Provider or by “3rd companies” providing the same kind of “protection”.Nevertheless, I do recommend Cleaner Pro above the other mentioned applications as more stable and responsive.

Clumsy

Matches aren’t very easy to specify. Either the email or the phone but not the phone and email or not the phone and zip or not the phone in first name or not the phone and last name so basically it’s pretty weak. Now that there is the concept of least viable software the problem is everybody makes the least viable software and then stops. That wasn’t the idea of software development. At that point they just start ignoring we need for a better product because all the products are lame. And they are. Every product I’ve tried in this category is pretty useless. Another thing making this a bad product is after you merge merge is still on the list so I redo the merges and it says there are seven email matches. And then I go back to my first tab and it shows there are nine and that includes one I’ve already done. So it’s not very well programmed. It doesn’t seem like it actually does when it says it’s going to do. Unlike most I am just scared it’s just going to mash up my data which is what most of these apps do.

From 5 to 1 Sta update ——So far so good

I ran the contacts cleanup first to see how things go with this app. It was simple, str straightforward and seemed that my contacts were in good shape they found duplicate emails and got rid of the extras same thing with phone numbers and entire contacts. Phone numbers that had no contact name it prompted me to clean those up as well and I was quite happy I gave the app a five star rating but decided to come back and reevaluate in a few days. Today I noticed a bunch of duplicate back in my contacts. When I open my contacts to see what was up, it was back in the exact same situation it had been before I ran this app. The app is still here, it shows it has done those cleanups, but it’s back in the same state it had been previously. I don’t know what happened, why this occurred but that’s not a acceptable from my perspective. I’m a businessperson and don’t have time to fiddle with fixing an app someone else wrote. so down to one star and I’ll be uninstalling. ——————————————————————So far it’s been good.

Quite Good, Then Rather Disappointing

The app works well the first time it scans your contacts — especially if you have a relatively large database and have not used any similar product previously. It catches most everything and makes it relatively easy to clean up duplicates, delete useless records, etc. That said, I have two major pet peeves. First, the app counts any record that has the same phone number as another record as a duplicate record. The suggested solution— to combine the two records into one or delete one of the records — is not helpful. In most cases, it’s a situation where a couple shares a phone number so it’s in each of their records. I want to keep both records as they are. I don’t see an option to do that so the same records keep showing up as duplicates, and keep wanting me to choose between merge or delete. I think there is something I’m missing because there just has to be a way to deal with this issue in the app. But I can’t find it and, my second pet peeve, Support has never responded to either of my requests for help with this issue. So there may be an easy way to deal with it in the app, but if there is, Support is not interested in sharing that information with me.
