Design flaws

My two year old loved it, until the roaring lion, (which sounds realistic and bares his teeth), scared her. She was alright with the crocodile at first, but now when ever these characters come up she immediately shuts down the app. What good is that? One other thing, with the feeding giraffe activity, the options immediately disappear whether or not the kid got the right answer. I would like to see answers return to their original spot if they are wrong and the giraffe doesn't eat them, and them have them faded so they cannot select them again. - Actually this would go for all of the activities that are apart of this app. Highlighting what is correct or wrong is a big part of learning. These two improvements would make this a five star app.

4 years later.....Comes a NEW Review from: Cartoon Mayhem

Hi duck duck MOOSE today I'm going to be talking about this app of yours soo let's get on with the review shall we?.If some of you are NEW to the game some of you might be asking WHAT THE HECK IS DUCK DUCK MoOsE well that's what I'm going to be talking about today so my parents got me this app I think when I was 4 years old? and the app was I tad bit different because there was no coin thingy on the side of the screen. But from what I can remember was that in the game I think you could play to get characters and after you got them all you could get them ALL OVER AGAIN but when I was younger I think I like playing this game But now I have to admit the apps need updating.(I got rid of what I said before because I thought what I wrote a couple of years ago sounded rude and I wasnt intending for this review to be that way so Duck Duck MOOse if you are reading this review CAN YOU UPDATE ALL YOU APPS PLEASE THX and stay tuned for my next review on DisneyNOW also one more thing ,since I don't remember much of this game I'm just gonna give it ⭐️⭐️ Stars well that's it for this review God bless y'all bye.

Good fun

The only problem is that phonics puzzles can be solved too easily by random chance ; new reader can answer before question is given.

Good but could be better with unlimited user accounts

I really like this app for my kindergarten class; however I really wish that I could set an unlimited number of user accounts (one for each of my students)...right now only having three accounts makes it very difficult to monitor progress of all students during my computer/iPad rotation of Daily Five. Right now I have to reset accounts so that my whole class can play.

Quality Kindy App!

An educational app my kiddo actually WANTS to play! Good, clear verbal instructions (with no accent) which is helpful for emerging readers. Intuitive hint method (just tap the word or icon) and very few navigational menus within the app; means the kid controls the game. Fun incentives too! Very impressed!

Great teaching tool

My three year old is enjoying this (with help from mom). Great for learning letters, sounds, words, while having fun.

Ugh! Keeps relocking levels!

My 4 yo daughter is very frustrated with losing 10 unlocked levels. It happened twice. We are giving up now. Also annoyed I had to pay twice for iPhone and iPad.

Disappointing

Cute graphics with fun activities, but there is no organization to tasks from a skill acquisition basis. Without that progression, the app isn't helpful as a teaching tool. Also, I could not identify a way to exit once I'd begun a level. As someone who has liked using other apps by the folks at Duck Duck Moose, I had expected higher quality from this product. I'm disappointed.
