Great tool for diagramming

I’ve been playing with this app on my iPad for a couple of hours so far. It has a LOT of functionality (be sure to read through the Help text). I haven’t found a way to connect straight lines to other straight lines at a perpendicular angle, though. Otherwise, it allows labeling end points on lines, a variety of arrow heads are available, and drawing shapes with my finger is easy. I would purchase the Full version, but I’m concerned that it hasn’t been updated in quite awhile.In the meantime, I’m using PureFlow and it seems capable enough (not as much time with it yet). I looked at SystemDiagram (which is open source — woohoo!) but while it looks good for some things, flow charting isn’t one of them.

Buggy

When it works it is great. It has a great look. But it is buggy. I draw the symbols that the help page says to do to either draw a line, a chart or even delete. It won’t recognize what I want. I will draw it over and over and it won’t do anything. It seems to choose when it wants to do things. I will be looking for another app to see if I can get a simple chart drawn. I won’t be getting rid of this app for now Incase it begins working better. I think they have a good thing here if they fix the bugs.

Intuitive yet exhaustive and flexible - best diagram app I’ve ever used

After months of looking for a tool that would allow me to use my iPad to draw diagrams (uml, mind map & system), I have finally found the one.I’ve been frustrated with others that allowed for limited flexibility or had a restrained set of features. Some make you click through many different menus to get to what you need. This one is the opposite.What I love in particular:- no frame limit - you can add elements anywhere around your diagram and can zoom in and out as much as you want- element drawing - you can easily draw the different elements you want, and they are easy to move around, scale and rotate- connector drawing - the app allows to connect easily different elements with STICKY connectors, and makes it easy to change the type of line you draw- easy text additions - it’s easy to add text to shapes, lines or anything or anywhere - easy to reorganize using the group modeWhat can still be improved/added- [bug] previously used colors sometimes disappear- [add] containers for elements that would move with all subelements would be greatI have never written reviews before but I was so happy with this app that I went, unprompted, on the App Store to leave comment. This app is amazing! Thank you!

Really easy

Having never used an app like this, I was pleasantly surprised. I tried doing my flowchart on MS Word and other PC based programs and it was too complicated.I would have liked a bit more in the help /instructions,but was able to middle through. Perhaps another video or two on how to line shapes up, use some of the edit functionality. I couldn't work out why my connectors would stick to some shapes and not others.

No Privacy Policy

I like the app. But I quickly discovered there are no privacy settings. I could not shut off access to my camera and photos. No privacy policy is a hard NO for me. I wish I would have noticed that right away. But now I know.

Exactly what I was looking for

Been searching through mind mapping apps, none of them had the features I was looking for. 1.) being able to link ideas with more then one possibility... 2.) the simplicity in the features and the use, a little bit to learn but makes the app better.

So easy and professional

I just generated a quick network diagram to share with my team. DrawExpress was highly impressive! I was able to intuitively draw the diagram with sub blocks, interconnections, annotations, and colors to identify physical channels vs. virtual channels. By far and away the fastest and most intuitive diagramming tool I've used.

Very handy & love the new functions

Require some learning curve but really intuitive to use. Keep updating & adding useful new functions such as adjusting the font size & applying different colors. I have had my hands on this app over months & really find it easy to use & productive.

Decision trees on phone!

If I run into any problems I will come back and re-rate this app but so far I have ZERO bad to say. Everything makes sense, text annotation is as easy as a double tap and all the formatting and move controls are handy in their needed context. Well-done app. I will probably buy the full version on my iPad.
